• Isabelle (10/5): Incredible stay, we will be back ! - Absolutely stunning accommodation with the most lovely staff. Very pretty views right in the rice fields. Me and my partner stayed in February and we had the whole place to ourselves. We honestly had the most relaxing time and definitely would love to come back. The staff went above and beyond for us and treated us to any needs we had. We had a couples massage twice as well as a yoga session which were both incredible. The food for breakfast, lunch and dinner was amazing. Seriously can’t fault anything about this place. 10/10 We will be back !!! Nothing !!

The traditional klumpu accommodation was beautiful and what a surprise to wake up to the view of Gunung Agung in the foreground. So peaceful and the early morning sounds coming from the local temple just added to the experience. Breakfast was delicious and ice coffee sitting overlooking the small pond was a little magical. There are cute little villas on the pond but I think paying extra to have that view is a must! Not a thing

• Paul-Michiel (8/5): Heerlijk verblijf aan de oostzijde van het eiland en relatief dichtbij de ferryhaven naar Lombok - Ontbijt a la carte met voldoende keuzes. Voorkomt grote buffetten waarvan een hoop wordt weggegooid. Nadeel is dat je weer "uit eten" bent, dus eerst moet wachten op opnemen van je bestelling en dan voor het maken en uitserveren. Ontbijten duurt zo dus allemaal wat langer dan bij buffet vorm. Niet erg, het is tenslotte vakantie. De villa's hebben het grote hemelbed op de bovenste etage terwijl er beneden, achter een wandje nog een tweede tweepersoonsbed is. Een airco én plafondventilator zorgen voor een prima binnenklimaat. Horeca vaardigheden van personeel zijn wat beperkt, maar dat wordt méér dan goed gemaakt door hun enorme vriendelijkheid en wil om je van dienst te zijn!
• Widya (7/5): Beautiful property, warm hospitality - The family suite is large and comfortable, enough space for four. It’s also beautifully designed. Because of its location and depending on the season, it could be too quiet. My family of five made up the majority of the guests when we were there! There was only one couple besides us. We all booked massages and learned that the spa was actually a room with glass doors that could fit two people. So five of us had to take turns, two at a time. There was no partition separating the two who were getting massages. It wasn’t an issue because we were a family, but what if we weren’t? I wouldn’t want to be getting a massage with a stranger lying on the bed next to mine.

• Tatiana (10/5): - If you are looking for a quiet place, away from people, close to nature, it is a perfect spot. Staff was super helpful and nice. We also had a massage - I can recommend. There are several activities you can do like cooking class, yoga class etc. Room amenities were excellent (some complimentary snacks, bottle of water every day, flip flops, even silk kimonos). Food was good. Pool area is very nice. Over all we had an amazing time, felt like a retreat centre. As the property is really located in the forest, there is a lot of life :D Be ready for a lot of insect, frogs, snails...as the bathroom is outdoors (we had a suite) you will never be alone. It is not necessarily a bad thing, just surprised me.

Nous avons fait un cours de cuisine avec le chef du restaurant qui etait vraiment incroyable, nous recommandons ! Piscine ouverte seulement de 10h à 18h. La route principale est actuellement fermée, un détour est donc à prendre pour rejoindre l’hôtel, cela rajoute un peu de temps de route pour rejoindre Sidemen.

Lo staff è stato molto gentile nell'accoglierci e nell'aiutarci con le valigie. Colazione Buona. Abbiamo avuto modo di pranzare e ne siamo stati molto soddisfatti. L'unica cosa che migliorerei è la colazione che potrebbe essere un pochino più abbondante. Per il resto, tutto perfetto.

La chambre est décorée avec goût bien que ce soit très simple (dans le bon sens du terme). Le réveil à 6h30 car un monsieur tentait de faire partir les oiseaux des rizières en "criant" et agitant des sacs. Bien que je comprenne la raison de faire cela, j'aurai aimé être prévenue pour ne pas me réveiller en sursaut. A prendre en considération : vous êtes dans la nature donc la visite de petites bêtes est à prendre en compte.

• Anthony (10/5): A place so nice we went there twice - My wife and I initially stayed one night because the other accommodation we booked wasn’t what we expected. We then went to our next nearby accommodation which, while nice, was a bit limited in the heavy rain that happened during the recent floods - so we came back! We were upgraded both times due to maintenance on the smaller units. The setting is great, the food was superb and the drinks were equally great - one of the highlights of our two week trip. The staff were great and the natural frog chorus at night was quite relaxing compared to the traffic noise of our previous accommodation.

• fausto (10/5): - Se cercate una struttura in zona tranquilla, dove poter godere di un paesaggio incredibile in mezzo alle risaie e servizi impeccabili allora siete nel posto giusto. A metà strada fra ubud né a Sidemen, in una zona rurale ancora non invasa dal turismo di massa. La struttura è un po' distante dal paese, ma non troppo circondata da bellissime risaie e cascate. Ci è stato assegnato un lodge bellissimo, pulito bagno con doccia semi aperta. Letto sul soppalco. Ampie vetrate sulla risaia. Tutto pulito, viene fornito tutto quello che serve. Pulizia giornaliera e sistemazione della camera anche la sera. Servizio messaggi, giardini ampi e curati. Colazione ottima, così come anche i pasti del ristorante.

El personal muy atento y amable. Como no se puede tener todo, ya que estas tan apartado del mundo. La ubicacion es dificil...porque estas lejos de todo y con unas carreteras un poco dificiles.

• Valentina (8/5): Tolles Hotel - Die Unterkunft hat etwas beruhigendes und ist sehr schön. Das Mittag und Abendessen im Restaurant war super lecker. Das einzig Negative was es zu erwähnen gibt ist, dass wir an der Rezeption ein Taxi gebucht (damit es zuverlässig ist da wir zur Fähre mussten) haben. Dieses ist eine Halbe Stunde zu spät gekommen, und ist obwohl wir gesagt hatten das wir uns nun sehr beeilen müssen extrem langsam gefahren. Fast hätten wir desswegen unsere Fähre verpasst. Außerdem war es mehr als doppelt so teuer wie ein Grap fahrer.

Some construction works during our stay, but didn't disturb. Complete hotel surroundings were amazing, enjoyed traditional house and pool. Mosquito liquid for room next to bed was helpful. We were informed by reception the drinks in the fridge were included in total price. But next day another receptionist charged 8 Euros for 4 small canned beverage. In Bathroom, shower part had small window with net, which was torn. Next morning on the floor dead mouse 🐁,, found. Absolutely no go, Fortunately my friend had warned me before I experience that awful moment.

• Roberti (10/5): Our type of paradise and a beautiful anthentic experience of Bali - We LOVED De Klumpu and left a bit of our heart there. First of all, the site is stunning: the view of mount aungung is breathtaking in the morning, the gardens are very well maintained and cleverly designed, the rooms are beautiful and comfortable, the staff is discrete, helpful and super friendly, the food is varied, generously served and delicious! We stayed there 5 days which can be a lot if you haven’t planned activities as the hotel is very remote but we loved every second there. We were worried we’d feel very hot in the rooms as there is no ac but it was cool at night and we slept very well under the mosquito net, not many mosquitoes to report by the way, surprising as the place is full of water bodies but fish and geckos do their jobs well! The pool is beautiful and quiet, we enjoyed it too. In the shadow in the heat of the afternoon which was nice to play card games and relax before dinner. The Balinese massage was heavenly and the guided walking tour was informative, fun and authentic. We were lucky to attend the temple celebration in the neighbouring temple. The hotel arranged some of our transfers and we also had pickups from the cycling trip, rafting and Batur hike. Walking around the hotel is fun if you want to experience authentic Bali but the road is narrow and there is traffic. Our son has declared that he’d want to live there forever!

• Rhys001 (7/5): Lovely remote villas. - Large rooms/villa size, very comfy beds, a vanilla farm within walking distance. The staff were really great. Great views and grounds. Massages were nice. Very remote location, you need a car or scooter to get around which is a challenge with a toddler. At the end of our stay we were stung with a 150k charge for a broken mug. This left a bad taste for us, we also overhead someone else being stung with a similar charge for a dirty towel or sheet. Given how much we spent at the property on food and massages, I feel adding a damage fee cheapens the place. The rooms and bathroom were quite dark. The couch in our villa was uncomfortable. Given we had a toddler who sleeps at 7pm, it was tough to enjoy sitting in our villa in the evenings. They didn't have babyseat for bicycles, and the hotel driver fee was about 5x the usual rate for the area. We got our own driver to take us to Sidemen etc.

• Nigel (9/5): Very relaxing - beautiful clean gardens, food, staff, serenity, views of rice paddies, a delightful setting the room was ideal for 2 adults; the upstairs bedroom is very nice, but our teenage daughter slept downstairs and this was not ideal for sleeping, it was hot

• Maria (9/5): Beautiful accomodation in the middle of rice fields - Beautiful accomodation in the middle of the rice fields. The room/house is beautiful and so are the surroundings. The staff is super helpful, and although we were a bit afraid of mosquitoes due to lack of air conditioning there were none. The food was also Great. Highly recommend this place!

• Sanne (10/5): Amazing country side retreat! - Amazing location, country side retreat. Super food and great staff. Had a lot of fun flying the self-made kites, cooking class and renting a scooter to go to the waterfalls.

• Phil (8/5): Gorgeous property in nice quiet patch of Bali. - Lovely property and beautiful rooms. It is off the beaten track a little so you need to get cars to get anywhere else but it's very serene and great for relaxing. Staff were great, organised kids bikes for us and day trip driver. not a particularly convenient location but as long as you're aware of that it's fine.
