John (9/5): A very pleasant all round experience. - Superb staff, room great . Breakfast excellent. Restaurant good, particularly the staff. Courtesy bus to the Waterfront very useful. Would recommend and certainly stay again. Nil.
Kim Sadie (5/5): - The staff were welcoming and assisted with parking of our vehicle. My room was dirty. Couch soiled, broken bed with hairs and stains. I was moved to a new room, upon raising this. Main lifts weren't working and tv channels are limited without smart tvs available.
Jordan (8/5): Decent hotel, great service and accessible location - The hotel is nice but dated, the staff and customer service is excellent and the breakfast buffet is fair. The premises and rooms are dated and need modernising, Bed side cabinets were dirty when we checked in. Breakfast Buffett was great the first morning but the following days was underwhelming and not well stocked.
Olajumoke (1/5): - This hotel is probably good But this booking was made online in error as May 2nd instead of March 2nd And even when the 2pax was at the hotel March 2nd, paid a price higher than the rate for May 2nd, the hotel refused to refund the initial error payment of over 10,000 rand. Collected the full payment for march 2nd of 16,000 rand. This is a very bad customer relation experience for me. Because we ended up paying 26,000 rand plus for a 3 nights experience as they won't be considerate enough to correct an error booking since it was full payment on booking

Robyn (10/5): Loved our stay at the Pullman - So pleased with our stay at the Pullman Hotel. The service was exceptional. The staff were very friendly, helpful & quick to respond to requests. Our room was spacious, comfortable & clean, & a view of Table Mountain. Breakfasts were well catered with a good variety to choose from. Would definitely recommend & stay again. The wait for the lift was a little time consuming as only 2 lifts were working due to maintenance. Just had to plan for it.

Felt like it was Black Saturday because of no noise cancellation of any kind. They knew exactly what kind of room they were giving us but didn’t deem necessary to give us a heads up. BTW the gym is open 24/7 so we might have got lucky with 5 am. Anyway, that made our experience way worse.

The level of service, attention to detail, and consistency throughout my stay were outstanding. A special mention to Robyn, who was outstanding from the reservation stage throughout my entire stay. Her professionalism, efficiency, and ability to anticipate guest needs were truly impressive. She represents the hotel exceptionally well and is a great asset to the team. I would also like to mention Alex from security, whose warm presence and personal approach with guests added a very welcoming touch. The rooms were immaculate, well maintained, and the overall guest experience was seamless from start to finish. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cape Town.

The design is sleek, the public spaces are polished, and there's a genuine cosmopolitan feel that sets it apart from cookie-cutter chain hotels. Overall, it's a stylish, well-located city hotel with genuinely warm staff and great services. LOCATION:The location is undeniably one of the strongest cards in the Pullman's hand. Sitting on Riebeek Street in the CBD, you're within easy walking distance of the brilliant restaurant strip on Bree Street, Greenmarket Square, the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), and the Hop-On Hop-Off bus stop. With that being said, this is the city centre, not the V&A Waterfront, and as a tourist hotspot those are very different experiences. DINE + DRINK: Didnt have a chance to dine or drink here so cannot comment on the food. But the GHIBLI terrace bar near the pool is a cool place to hangout ROOM: We stayed in Room 1024, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and lot of baggage; VIEW: Lovely view of the cityscape from teh huge floor-to-cieling windows that span L-shaped across the room; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM:Good sized bathroom with a Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Lovely spa quality toiletries FACILITIES: The rooftop pool area is a genuine highlight — well maintained, with sun loungers and cabanas, stunning city views, and a poolside bar that keeps things lively. The gym on the 11th floor offers decent views of the Waterfront and city, and is fitted with a good range of free weights and machines. The swimming pool is also stunning, a perfect place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of Cape Town. To summarize, Pullman Hotel is number one for me in Cape Town. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. If you are looking for comfort, professionalism, and outstanding hospitality, this is absolutely the place to stay

In one of my most vulnerable moments, I was met with kindness, compassion, and care from every corner of the hotel. I was not left alone. I was comforted, supported, and shown a level of love that went far beyond service. After walking through seasons of loss and heartache, this experience reminded me that God sends people to carry you when you are too weak to stand. He is an exceptionally professional individual who went above and beyond to assist us with our reservations. Due to the current conflict, our flights were being canceled daily, and we were constantly shuttling back and forth between the hotel and the airport. Ederies always greeted us with a warm smile and managed to find us available accommodations, including a beautiful room. We would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate Ederies for his outstanding service. His dedication truly made our experience remarkable. Additionally, Ederies’ manager was incredibly attentive and truly listened to our concerns, which made a significant difference during our stay. We will always cherish the memories of our nights at the Pullman. The entire staff was incredibly attentive, ensuring that we felt welcomed and well cared for. The pool and gym were beautifully arranged, providing a perfect space for relaxation and exercise. The dining experience was excellent, with a variety of delicious options that delighted our taste buds. Thank you once again, Ederies, for making us feel more at home than ever! RACHELLE (6/5): Won’t book again … - Check in staff and speed was amazing . The staff that took me to room were equally amazing . Top 10 . Even 2 days later when I checked out the reception gentlemen’s still remembered I was sick when o checked in and asked how I was . Excellent customer service The breakfast service which paid for at the breakfast was atrocious. 1. Breakfast was cold even thought there were hot plates under each Crussetta cast iron saucepan 2. I asked for a cup so I could pour my tea and I was asked “ are there not cups on your table “ - uk no dear there are not hence why I am asking ! 3. The basics were not upkept - I wanted English breakfast tea and had to fill my own pot - fine - went to do this and the hot water pot was empty - advised a waitress - she advised to give to her and she will fix - she then started to fill the pot at the coffee maker then walked off and came back minutes later . I asked can I take it now - she advises - yes - I opened the pot and it had not even had been filled with hot water - honestly ! 4. I went to the pool at 11 am and by 2.30 am I was asked to “ pay my bill “ as the staff was ended her shift . I said I understand that but I am planning to be here for another 3-4 hours so why do I need to close the bill - again she advised it was the end of her shift and I can open another bill for the next waiter . I said to her I understand shift changes but I said I am staying here for 4 more hours so why inconvenience me like this . No reply. I ended up packing up and paid the bill - no tip - I really hate doing this but I felt I needed to to send a message - are we really insisting to inconvenience customers for a 10% tip ? Honestly I would have stayed and spent another 2-3 more timely bill in output so around Rand 1,200 but for a 37. Rand tip I am chased out

jobst2016 (8/5): Pullman Hotel, Cape Town – A Mixed but Ultimately Caring Experience - The Pullman Hotel is well located in a good, quiet area of Cape Town, which made for a peaceful stay. The interior of the hotel is modern and stylish, and the rooms themselves were clean and well presented. Our experience at check-in, however, got off to a rocky start. The room allocated to us on arrival was already occupied, which was frustrating after a long journey. To the hotel’s credit, we were upgraded on request, and after some negotiation they offered complimentary lunches in their restaurant to make up for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, lunch service was another challenge. We waited a very long time for our meals to be served, and in the end they were delivered to our room instead. While the gesture was appreciated, the delay was disappointing. There were also maintenance issues during our stay. The shower drainage did not work properly, resulting in the bathroom flooding on two occasions, which detracted from an otherwise comfortable room. That said, what truly stood out was the attitude and professionalism of the staff. They were attentive overall, and I cannot praise Achumile highly enough. Her kindness, professionalism, and calm handling of the various mishaps made a real difference. She consistently checked in on us and went out of her way to ensure we were happy, turning a difficult situation into a far more positive experience. In summary, the Pullman Hotel has a lot going for it in terms of location, design, and staff attitude, but some operational and maintenance issues need attention. Exceptional service from staff like Achumile, however, shows the hotel’s real potential.

On my first day, I was stuck in the elevator for 30 minutes, which was extremely scary and traumatic. The overall atmosphere felt unsafe. There were very shady individuals staying at the hotel, and the neighborhood itself is dangerous. I was followed by suspicious people on the first floor, which made me feel genuinely unsafe. The air conditioning was ineffective — even set to 10°C, the room felt closer to 30°C. The shower was also a major issue, with water fluctuating between scalding hot and freezing cold, making it impossible to shower comfortably. The hotel is connected to a residential area, and the type of people allowed access to the hotel was appalling. An ambulance arrived on one of the days, and no explanation was given, which only added to the discomfort and concern. everything was horrible

For over two weeks, I have been trying to arrange one simple request: adding and paying for breakfast for my guests’ room. Despite multiple emails, the hotel has been completely unresponsive. I received two emails asking for the guests’ names, which I provided at least three separate times, yet nothing moved forward. What makes this worse is that calling the hotel is essentially impossible. Every time I call the front desk, the line is busy. This has been the case consistently for over a month, making direct contact with the hotel unattainable. This level of communication breakdown is unacceptable, especially for a hotel of this caliber and for partners working to enhance guest experiences. I am actively trying to give the hotel money to provide a better stay for my clients, and no one will respond. I am leaving this one-star review in hopes that someone from management actually reads it and responds, because email and phone communication clearly are not working. This experience has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

The hotel is very comfortable, well maintained, and its location is perfect for exploring the city. The staff was consistently friendly and helpful, and the food was good, making our stay even more enjoyable. During our stay at Pullman, the hotel staff recommended Redhaa as a local guide, and this recommendation truly exceeded our expectations. We spent two full days touring Cape Town with him, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Redhaa is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and passionate about Cape Town. He shared not only the main attractions, but also valuable historical, cultural, and local insights that allowed us to understand the city on a much deeper level. He was always punctual, attentive, and very flexible, adapting the itinerary to our interests and pace. His warm personality and attention to detail made the experience both comfortable and enriching. Thanks to Redhaa, we were able to see Cape Town from an authentic and memorable perspective. Daniel (10/5): - Das Hotel liegt im Central Business District, in dem man sich tagsüber in Gruppen bewegen kann, aber im Dunkeln ist es eine No-Go Area. Dafür nutzt man wie überall in Südafrika einfach Uber. Wir kamen mit dem Mietwagen und konnten problemlos im Parkhaus parken. Das kostenfreie Parkdeck für die Hotelgäste ist ganz oben, wo man dann eine sehr steile Treppe zu den Aufzügen runtergehen muss oder man geht einfach die Rampe, die man hochgefahren ist, rauf. Der Check-In verlief schnell und freundlich und das Zimmer konnte bereits etwas früher bezogen werden. Die Zimmer sind klasse und super isoliert. Das Bett war super bequem, so dass die Schlafqualität wirklich hervorragend gewesen ist. Auch das Badezimmer war sehr schön gestaltet mit guten Pflegeprodukten. Es gibt eine kleine aber feine Poolarea und auch ein gutes Restaurant mit Preisen auf Pullman-Niveau. Das Frühstücksbuffet ließ keine Wünsche offen und der Wunsch nach einem kleinen Late Check-Out wurde auch kostenfrei erfüllt, was ich auf dem Level und den Preisen top finde.

RichardHillard (8/5): International Business Hotel - We spent 2 nights at the Pullman during our Cape Town visit. It was centrally located for the Business District but is an Uber ride away from the V&A Waterfront. There’s a nearby stop for the Hop On Hop Off bus which is a convenient way to explore the sights to the South of Cape Town and then it finishes back at the V&A. The negatives: There was work ongoing on the main elevators so getting up and down to our room sometimes took an extremely long time using the service lift; there was also some dust and noise caused by this. Outside of the hotel there was construction ongoing which was quite noisy. The positives: The staff were friendly and efficient. The Business Lounge offered a good breakfast and a nice selection of canapés and refreshments in the evening. Our room was large and clean, and the whole hotel was what you would expect of an international brand; as long as you’re not expecting ‘unique’ or ‘boutique’ then you’re unlikely to be disappointed. Euan is worth particular praise for his efficient handling of our arrival, whilst Lorna and Shamiela were perfect hosts in the Business Lounge.
