- Kenneth (1/5): I will never stay at this place again. - The staff, Amanda , and the night lady went out of their way to make sure that my stay was good. I commend them for their hard work. The room window was so foggy I could not see anything, there was no soap or shampoo, the lights didn’t work over the sink, and the TV said “no signal “.

YMMV - check in was ok, staff was pleasant. room had two beds and that worked out as we had two people. the ac was very cold( a little clunky sounding all night, but very cold) at check in there was delay in finding a "ready room". we got there at 4pm. like many others mentioned, the exterior doors do NOT lock. the smell of weed is overwhelming, in the hallways and stairs. The room was a little better, less weed smell. once in the room cleanliness, or lack thereof was immediate. pretty dirty overall. cigarette burns and stains on the comforter, stains on the sheets, etc. one towel for two people. no shampoo or soap in the room. a quick vacuum around would go a long way to clean it up. the smoke alarm was missing, wiring hanging out of the ceiling.
- Little Red (6/5): Disappointed - The jacuzzi bath tub and the gambling machines They had roaches in multiple rooms, gym was closed, and the pool was closed, it's an indoor pool, shouldn't need to be closed, they double charged deposit, and aren't giving deposits back out even though rooms are clean, staff was beyond unfriendly and sarcastic. All in all, the worst stay at amerihost I've ever encountered

- Wes (1/5): Night from hell. - Nothing I checked in at 6:45 and didn't get into a functioning room until after 8.00. The door would not lock. Instead of just putting me in another room they spent almost an hour fixing it before they prepared another room for me. Lights between beds didn't work and smoke alarm was missing . It was a terrible experience. Would not recommend to anyone. Supposed to be getting a complete refund. If that fails to happen I'm going to corporate. Wes Henderson
- Mike (2/5): - This property was uninhabitable. After checking we went to the room, and it was terrible. Towels on the floor, bed unmade and stained, trash in the room and an odor of mildew. WE Left immediately. I asked them to refund the $153 on my credit card. If that is not done I will stop payment and contact the Chamber. I have pictures. What was represented at booking through pictures was fraudulent and not accurate. I wouldn’t let a dog sleep in that room
- Sebero (2/5): They charged me a $50 PER NIGHT deposit. - This place is a dump. Also, they charged my card a $50 PER NIGHT deposit and still need to credit my card. SO no I am dealing with this crap.
- Brandon (4/5): - The room was fine. A little deep cleaning would go a long ways. The building it self needs some safety measures, I didn’t need to use my card to get in the building because the outside doors were all unlocked. The pool area was dark and has a huge hole in the window and again you can walk in without your card from the outside. The check in was fine but you walked past a group of people to get in to find an empty desk, called and someone from that outside group smoking came in. Not a bd stay but needs some revamping before we come back.
- Kevin (2/5): Beware! - Do not book this hotel. If it is the only thing in town available, go down the road 15 miles and pick somewhere else. The staff are nice enough but the whole experience was a nightmare. Its soooo unclean and run down. The pillow cases on our bed were disgusting. And we only had a sheet on the bed, no comforter. The carpet was caked with nastiness. I complained about the bedding and they gave us brand new out of the box, so that was at least a step in the right direction. Only one towel in the room. Asked for more, none were clean.... this was 7 at night when I asked and the hotel was not full. Lots of people just walking around at night, did not feel safe. Do not bring children here. Owner was not nice either.

I finally got my deposit back but she told me since she messes up and gave the one guy two deposits back that mine was coming out of her paycheck its not my fault they shouldn't have put anyone in a room with bed bugs and the pther thing they had for breakfast was an apple

- Andrew (8/5): Mexico - So when i booked the room i booked a kind size bed with smoking, it was just 2 adults that were staying. During check in we had a bit of trouble, they didnt have a room like i booked available due various reasons, ac problems, room hadnt been clean, ect. So they offered me a suite however that would have cost over an additional $100.00 in taxes, fees, and deposit, or they could put in a double queen bed room for no additional cost. I chose the ladder of the two options when got in the room we quickly realized the ac unit was working very effectively. We trued shutting it off and tried to open the window for a cool breeze, that when we noticed that there was no screen innthe window and there was dierct easy access to out side or into our room. We closed the window and turned on ac you unit and toughed out. There were 5 lights in the room including a reading lamp, the lamp and 2 of the other lights would not turn on.

Still hasn’t been rectified. 2.staff were fighting with each other while checking me in and one left and said they were quitting, and we did notice the other worker was very rude to her. It was really awful to watch. 3. Mgr had to be called because only a premium room was available, and they could not upgrade me, took over 55 min to get into a room, they had to upgrade me but told us we could not use the hot tub in the room because we only pd for a regular room. Very unprofessional. I have never had so many issues at a hotel before. 4. Drunk people sitting outside that I think may live in the hotel.

Requested additional towels and was told they were out of towels. Had to go to Walmart and purchase towels and toilet paper. Management and staff live on site and appear to be tweekers. Expedia should remove this property from their system.

- Andrew (4/5): - The service took forever to get checked in even though i booked earlier then just arriving. I was charged by the 3rd party and the hotel, also was hit with a 100 cash deposit. Which 9.32 was returned. When entering the room we noticed there was no fitted aheet on the bed, no plug for the jacuzzi tub, as well as no remote for the tv, Had to wait over an hour for a remote to be brought to the room. Later we noticed trash in the drawers for our clothes, and while showing we noticed some stains all over the wash cloths.

- Brad (4/5): - I should have read more reviews before I booked. Room key would not work, replaced and then did not work later. Door handle hanging and looked as if it had been kicked a few times. TV would not turn on, no batteries in remote, got new batteries, still would not work. TV would not even work even manually without remote. Refrigerator plugged in and on but not working. Toilet plugged upon arrival, I was too afraid to complain so I used the one in the lobby. Shower would not drain and I took a shower in ankle-deep water. Burn holes and rips in bedspread. No mattress pad, just a thin non-fitted sheet directly over the mattress. Room furniture very rough, scratched and beat up. Property generally very rough. Housekeeping carts in the hall in the late afternoon...one with a pack of cigarettes on it. Several room doors open in the afternoon. All outside doors never locked at night...I didn't feel safe. I parked my car well away from my room and near the entrance and security cam as I was afraid it would be broken into. Parking lot extremely deteriorated. In general, the property looks like it could have been abandoned if didn't have a reservation. Positive points: staff very friendly, room was unkempt but not filthy as reported in other reviews. I got my deposit back without a hassle like other folks that reviewed. I pride myself in staying at budget properties to save a buck, but this one crossed the line. Definitely not a place to stay with children. My advice is book elsewhere.

- Michael (6/5): Beware of owner - Everything was good I usually pay for Monday and Tuesday in one reservation and then extend my stay for Wednesday and Thursday nights. Unfortunately my check did not go into my account till 9:30pm but they didn’t run my card till the next morning and they took $20 out of my $50 deposit. On top of that the owner has kept my deposit for almost a month last month I did not complain about it. Figured the owner would understand my situation. The staff was great it’s just the owner that’s awful, even the staff said so. I will not use this hotel again.

The whole hotel smelled of cigarette smoke, and it permeated everywhere even into our Non-smoking room. That being said, the workers were very nice, and helpful. So no complaint there. But if Cigarette Smoke bothers you, this is not the place to stay.

Towels from previous guests were still on night stand, there was a mop in the middle of the floor, and the shower curtain was wrapped around the top pole. The speakers on the tv were blown, the room was freezing till about 2am. At about 8pm an employee opened the door to our room. There was a drill running off and on till 10pm. There wasn't a Continental breakfast either. But what do u expect for 50 bucks.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Wont stay there again - Dirty, unmaintained, lacked basic necessities. Sheets were dirty, leftover molding food in the fridge, thin towels. Carpets were gross.
- Darla (8/5): - Your website says there was a hot tub, but we got there and it was closed for like 10 years, you should take that off your website if you can't use it. Otherwise we had a good stay.
- Harris (3/5): I was up there hunting and just needed somewhere to lay my head. - The staff were nice. People running the halls all night.
- CORY (2/5): Horrible - We pulled in very late around 1am first red flag the worker was sleeping had to call the phone to walk him up. Takes awhile to get us checked in half ass told us how to get to our room cuz he is half asleep still. Get to the room the light wont turn on get it on and there are 2 pillows on a king size bed nasty pillows at that. Looked like it got robbed missing a night stand and no chair and no toilet paper, hair all over the sink. Go back and tell the sleepy guy we aren't staying in that room he gave us a new room this one had 2 queen size beds 2 dirty pillows on each bed and a mop chilly in the room no towels. Went and said we aren't stay here so we left and had to drive another 15 mins to a new hotel got to bed about 230am
- Michael (2/5): Bad experience - Got the suite for jacuzzi tub. All furniture outdated and stained up. Halls smelled horrible and like cigarettes. Bed very uncomfortable. And they wouldnt refund my deposit stating i stained 1 pillowcase and 1 towel
- Danielle (10/5): Good - It was great, the tv worked just fine. Front desk was super helpful, great location. Not much for breakfast but overall great for what you pay! Would stay again

- Verified traveler (6/5): Amerihost in Mexico, Mo - The television service was terrible, with only two channels being available. The pillows were like sleeping on bags of wet cement. There were strange stains on the carpet close to the window. The heat and air conditioning register banged off and on all night. On a better note, the young woman who checked me in was extremely pleasant and helpful.
- peggy (2/5): - They are horrible they are dirty after staying there for two nights they locked me out of the room called the police on me because I refuse to pay a service animal $100 deposit and it states on their website that service animals are exempt from any fees I was harassed by them the entire day until I had to go to the store to get something to eat and came back and was locked out
- JOSEPH (8/5): - There was nothing i dislike. Shower head could been better,hard to get the shower head to spray better than hard spray. And tv remote would not change channels, had to find button on bottom of tv to change channels.
- Thomas (2/5): - Do not stay here. First impression - the smell of marijuana hits you as soon as you walk in the door. The desk clerk was not there so I waited. The room had no soap so the first thing I did was go back to the front desk to ask for soap. When we returned to the hotel later that night, tired and ready for bed - still no soap. I simply just wanted to wash my hands. It was after we went to bed that the worst came. Someone was having a party above us and the music (mostly the bass) filled our room. At 3am I called the front desk. They said they'd look into it. The noise continued. My husband called the front desk and the line was busy. At 345am we packed up and drove home. I told the front desk clerk we were leaving because of the noise. He said he had talked to the loud party already but they wouldn't listen to him. We wanted to stay there so we didn't have to make the trip home late at night. In all, we paid $161 and ended up driving home anyway. I called on the next business day and requested a refund and was told they'd look into it. Today when I call the phone rings and rings then hangs up. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. Honestly, sleeping in your car would be better than this place.
- Rachel (2/5): - Most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I didn’t even end up sleeping there because I was sure they had bed bugs or something. Pillow cases weren’t even clean. There was bread and trash in the drawers. Stains or cigarette burns on everything.

- Dayon (8/5): Not sure - Not bad for a nights sleep. TV didn’t work, sheets were stained, and towels were raggedy other than that everything was okay. Stayed in room 233.

- Tyler (2/5): - The place is utterly disgusting. The entire building smells like mold and marijuana. There’s people living on the upper floor and has the rooms set up like an apartment. The pool is clean but the windows are shattered and held together with tape in some spots. The beds have one sheets that not even fitted and no mattress cover. The shower curtain had black mold and yellow stains on it along with the towels having brown and yellow stains. The other thing that really set this place off was the windows are accessible from the outside we told the front desk with nothing being done about the situation. We ended up leaving without a refund. The staff is amazing but that’s literally the only good thing about this place. It’s cheap but I promise you that extra $40 is more than worth it.

- Rayne (2/5): Stay somewhere else - Smelled of marijuana in the lobby as soon as you walk in. Room had a weird smell and towels, sheets and bathtub were stained.
- Enrique (2/5): - The room they gave me had not been cleaned from previous guest. I told them that and the response was. Do you still want it? They found me another “non smoking “ room and it smelled like an ashtray The guy had a liquid spray bottle and asked me after a few sprays if it smelled better. I said no. He asked if I still wanted it because it was clean. I was given choice of non cleaned room or ashtray room And I passed on both. After 7 hour road trip I had to find another place to stay. They were not helpful in finding another place Terrible dirty smelly place and service was even worse than the room

- Leo (3/5): While this stay was comedically worse than I thought it was still a refuge to sleep at. - I was left alone Inside of drawers had crumbs and hairs and needed to be vacuumed out. Sometimes I had asked for help 4 times over 3 days and did not get it. The breakfast would be great with food. Other things that happened made me think I have never stayed at a worse hotel. I traveled onward to a hotel that was only $50 a night and it was at least twice as well maintained with better staff, care, and facility.
