Most amazing view from our balcony, truly breathtaking taking.
Bed was comfortable with decent linen and towels.
Breakfast and dinner were both very good. Plentiful and tasty.
Lovely garden to have a little wander in. Nothing.
- Cohen (8/5): Good for a short stay out of the city - Beautiful place, with great view, staff available and helpful Location is far from Ella and the main activities in the area, or even restaurants.
Staff can look somehow a little intrusive, but it seems part of their culture as well.

Very helpful and friendly staff mades feel at home and comfortable. Beautiful view of the mountains from every where in the hotel. The room we were given had a super views of the mountain right from our bed which was so nice and gave a cozy feeling. Enjoyed the walk around the garden enjoying the breathtaking views. Wonderful stay nothing to complain of.

The thing I enjoyed most was the view from the patio like area with the room!

Special thanks to the hotel staff (Raja) for making our stay pleasant and comfortable .
- Saule (9/5): Superb - I stayed in the bigger room and it was just what I needed. Very spacious, beautiful views, private balcony. I had a wonderful stay here. Haven't tried the restaurant or any other facilities. Overall very satisfied. Needs a tiny improvement on cleanliness to be 10/10.
Smaller double rooms seemed to have some humidity issue.
- Anil (8/5): Very good -
- Sujith (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darshana (9/5): Superb -
- Javier (9/5): A dream accommodation located in a wonderful and privileged place. - A dream accommodation located in a wonderful and privileged place. Cozy, clean and very comfortable room. The staff was very attentive and always helpful.
I made a mistake when making my reservation and I showed up at the hotel a day later. They didn't give me any problems and there was no extra charge!
Totally and absolutely recommendable!
- Delan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dileepa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Benjamin (9/5): Superb - When we arrived we got warm towels to refresh ourselfs. This was very nice. The manager and staff was very helpful and and got us a pot of tee while bringing our bags to our room. We took the (3 course) dinner, which was tasty.
It is indeed a villa and very big. For us it maybe felt even a bit to big. If you look for a nice place with an idyllic view in the valley, definitely come here.
- Insith (6/5): Pleasant - The view was alright and the service was good. For the price we pay they should give more facitlities and the amount that they cost for food is too much. Not worth for the amount we payed
- Prabashana (7/5): Good - View from the restaurant Food and it's pricing.
Cleanness of bathroom. No ventilation system for bathroom.
Nozzles of water fittings are blocked and therefore insufficient flow rate.
- Moghalles (10/5): A cozy experience. - This was one of the most beautiful places I have stayed at in a long while. Everything about the place was simply sublime. The views from the hotel are to die for, the service was excellent and the staff were some of the most gracious and helpful people you'll ever meet.
- Sujith (10/5): Comfortable stay with stunning views - Lovely view with nice room balcony, large and comfortable bedroom, great wifi, beautifully designed property and outdoor area with different places to sit, friendly staff We were considering having dinner in the hotel but it seemed too expensive so we decided not to have dinner there
- Pubudu (8/5): Amazing hotel with a noise problem - Gorgeous view overlooking hills and valley. Beautiful lounge. Well decorated with a mix of couches, tables, swing, rocking chair, etc.. Room was spacious and comfortable. Nice bed. cupboard, and a built-in wraparound table/work surface that was sufficient for keeping your stuff and working on a laptop. Lots of power outlets. The bathroom was clean. Had good water pressure and hot water. The towels were a bit threadbare - time to get a new set.
There is a small, well maintained gardens for you to explore and a 'tree-house' to sit in.
Helpful porter (who opens the gate, brings beer, carries luggage, etc.). Has limited information (generally suggests asking the guy at the desk for most questions).
Overall great place (except for the noise issue). Likely one of the best places to stay in Bandarawela (if you need to stay in Bandarawela). Noise!!! No soundproofing (open slits over the door - covered only with an insect mesh) allow all sounds in/out, and Bandarawela is loud (temples and mosques blasting prayers, random trucks with loudspeakers, over-powered sound systems, dogs, loud partying, and trains). There is a Karaoke bar just down the hill and they will blast very-loud off-tune singing at all hours (Thursday - Poya day - from 6pm to midnight, Saturday from 2pm to 6pm, and Sunday starting at 10am - on the three nights I was there). Bring earplugs if you plan to sleep - even if you plan to sit in the lounge and enjoy the view.
Limited food service. There is a large a-la-carte menu, but most things were not available. Bandarawela town is only a few minutes away by car, so not really an issue.
Weak internet - measured around 4Mbps up/down when it worked - signal dropped multiple times
- Christine (8/5): We loved watching the Ella train pass by at the bottom of the hill. The view was spectacular - Food, service and view were fantastic Rooms felt a little damp
- Stefan (6/5): Eten te duur voor wat je krijgt - Beauty full place in beautyful hotel The price of breakfast and diner
- Jagat (8/5): Property with character tastefully done up, comfortable stay with caring staff. - Internal ambiance, spacious rooms, efficient and polite staff especially Raja. Tiny toilet and bath, cold and frayed floor with no bedside rug,
- Asela (8/5): Very good - The view from the room is excellent, and the customer service is great. There is some mold in the bathroom and a moldy smell in the room.
- Damien (9/5): Great discovery in the Ella region. - Just a little outside of Ella, with a beautiful view on a green valley. Very friendly staff and very comfortable rooms.
- Sander (10/5): Nice and clean villa with mountain view - New and clean property with beautiful garden. Magnificent views from everywhere. Meals from the restaurant were well presented and the service was excellent. Staff was extremely helpful.
