Guest Reviews
- Tu Huu (1/5): -
- Terje (4/5): We think that you need to improve the cleaning, mostly the bathroom, several times we saw cookroaches, and musquito. Nev - Close to robertson, that was good Little old
- Jenny (3/5): Friendly staff, but the outdated rooms, cleanliness concerns, and noise made our stay below expectations. - Location The hotel is outdated. The elevator is very limited (max 3 people and strict weight capacity), which is inconvenient. Upon entering the room, there were mosquitoes inside. The room and bathroom did not meet cleanliness standards. The bathroom felt old—the shower knob came off when used, and the shower floor was not tiled. You can also hear noise from outside, including neighbors closing doors and talking. Overall, the facilities need significant improvement and did not meet expectations.
- Pastacio Jr. Malabanan (5/5): Improve cleanliness - Close to mall Insects crawling (ipis) , old bedsheets and towels
- Arden Jay Ulep (1/5): - Just convenient to Robinsons Mall Too expensive for a room you are getting could’ve been better
- Wilfred (9/5): -
- camille (6/5): - lack of lights. wifi not working
- NeilL (6/5): Fair enough for the money - Location is convenient if you want shopping and eating of different kind of foods. I saw 2 small cockroach running around the floor in the morning. Also, the water smell something at the start of the shower.
- Richard (8/5): -
- Nicky Rizza (8/5): It’s a nice place hopefully they will add hair dryers. And for sure we will book again for our business trips in Laoag. - It’s affordable and the location is near malls and the university I visited Only thing is that, I was given a room that needed to take the stairs and you can hear that they are doing some constructions in the another room however I truly understand the situation so I still recommend it.
- Rosary (8/5): Great location and friendly staff. - The location is very good, just across Robinsons mall, restaurants, groceries and a bank. The check in is seamless as well as the check out. The staff are all accommodating as I requested hair dryer and iron. The heater in the shower takes time to warm up. Also the restaurant that serves breakfast opens at 7am, maybe they can open early for those travelling.
- Benny (5/5): Decent - Location!!!! The aircon wasn’t cold enough. The shelves had dust buildup. The table and shelves was all stained and peeling. The wallpaper peeling and ceiling was water damage!!!!
- ryryz001 (6/5): Less than... - The location is what keeps this hotel alive (imo). Everything else is underwhelming. The cost should be atleast 500php less per night. Tv volumes jumps or isn't loud enough, hot water is better during the day and not night (when its necessary), window view isn't really a view
- Greg (1/5): Hotel is poorly maintained, periods without water to bath ruined the stay. - The staff were friendly Hotel is poorly maintained. Daily issues with hot water and then periods of no water at all, then dirty water coming through the shower. The main things I need in a hotel room are a bed and a working shower. Since the bed is super budget and hard, I would at least expect working water. That was not the case and at times I had to walk around in the humid heat, without bathing that day.
- Melinda (6/5): -
- ryryz001 (4/5): Unfortunately... - Convenient location Room cleanliness, no windows, tv volume is like a Rollercoaster (up land down), no table ot chairs
- Phil (2/5): Won’t stay here again! - Cold showers unless you leave water running for 15 mins and water pressure was some drips at best, service was terrible to poor. I stayed here last year and it was just ok but had good service, but it’s terrible now. Look for accommodation near SM Mall don’t waste money on staying here!
- Guittap (3/5): -
- Leticia Crisologo (4/5): - Stedet var nærme shopping senter og spisesteder. Litt vanskelig å kommunisere med de som har ansvar.
- Aileen (10/5): - Always good services
- Cagandahan (9/5): Superb -
- Felizabel (1/5): Grossed out to the max - That it was next door to Robinson mall Our beds had blood stains on the fitted sheets and on the floor in the bathroom. SoOoo disgusting which means they don’t changed sheets after each check out and clean the floors…. It was soOo grOss. On top of that we had 5 rooms and paid 3,000 pesos each. Not worth it at all!!!
- Augustus (8/5): Very good -
- Oliver (4/5): - The bathroom smelled terrible. When I asked for more towels to help with the bathroom they said "You can only have two." I booked the next day by accident and staff would not let me re-book.
- Sourav (1/5): Worst stay at very expensive rate. Under maintenance property should not have accepted guests. - Nothing Everything. The property was under maintenance and should not have accepted guest. When I asked for cancellation, they said they won’t pay back any money.
- Rodel (3/5): Poor -
- Mitchell (10/5): - Our go to hitel whenver were in ilocos norte, food is okay! Love the room, basic with ref and our needs(amenities) freindly staff.will stay back again.
- REMEDIOS (8/5): - convenient to all shoppings but not my go to the bathroom shower no warm water at least or hot just
- Basit (4/5): Deceiving without shame - Location Service from staff and not being helpful. Said no twin room made us book extra room saying it's the last one. Then put us in rooms that were not what we paid for. Once complained miraculously they had 4 rooms, the type we paid for but now ended with an xtra room and a twin room which was not available.
- Katerina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jasern (7/5): Good -
- GARRETT (8/5): - The Hotel was under a major renovation at the time of check-in. The first room was on the floor with heavy noise from the construction. The second room had no water pressure in the shower. The third room had a broken window lock. The fourth room had a connecting door. To the next room. Only a single door separated the two rooms. There was no hot water and they kept turning the electricity off and on during the day, like the construction workers were trying to find which switch powered a circuit.
The Staff was very helpful in trying to find us a satisfactory room. If not for the great staff we would have left for another Hotel.
- Benny (7/5): Okay - The water pressure and location The air conditioning and Cockroach
- Rosalyn (6/5): - The breakfast meals were good.
Cost of the shuttle bus was expensive.
The unit needs renovation or maintenance. (Sorry)
Greeters were helpful and courteous!
Cleaners were also great!
- Perrin (3/5): A hotel not to my liking. - Very convenient location. Because it’s at a major intersection it’s noisy with tricycles, motorcycles and Jeep horns.
The hotel appearance -except the lobby - was ugly and dull. Doors are all grey metal. Lights in my room were dangling by the electrical cords which had been knotted to raise them up. Neither of the bedside lights worked.
There was a squealing sound outside my window, on and off all night.
Our friends said there rooms were fine - but not ours.
All and all it was not an impressive performance.
On the positive side, the young staff were very helpful, very friendly and very efficient.
- paoloangeloc2025 (6/5): Business Traveller's Review - Rooms and amenities are basic. Better if there is variety with the breakfast. Rooms shows its age, and no outdoor looking windows. The air seems stale inside the building. Hot water seems to be turned off at night. Rooms are sufficiently cleaned and well-lit. Staff are courteous. My stay was okay, but for its price point, there may be better alternatives.
- Imelda (8/5): Very good -
- Marie (8/5): Overall, I enjoyed my stay. - Close proximity to stores and restaurants. Water temperature was cold/warm. Water could never get hot enough.
- Edwin (3/5): Poor - Opposite to mall Hotel outdated, toilet so smelly and leaking, dusty hotel and hot water not working for days,I don't think will come back to this hotel
- Edwin (10/5): Exceptional - Accessibility
- Olivia (3/5): The proximity of the place (which is the reason why we stayed here) did not compensate with the hassle we encountered. - Location Construction noise as early as 8am. There was no advance info that they have ongoing construction. We could have booked to another accomodation as we have work until midnight and complete sleep was the reason we booked in this hotel.
The electronic key was not working in one of the rooms. My co worker have to go down 3times just to request for assistance. And this was very late in the evening and all we wanted was to rest.
- Alven (2/5): Very bad experience in this hotel! - Location is gvery good as it is only across the mall. The unfriendly staff, who doesn't give a damn. Not informed about non-operational hot shower until issue raised and not informed about construction . Given a kettle and buckets for warm bath. Not very good. Toilet stinks. Construction workers in our floor are noisy and started early disturbing the peace. Room cleaners used the toilet and closed the toilet while we were away and stinks. Can not complain as staff does not give a rat's a#@. It is a very bad experience in this hotel and will not come back here again when in Laoag😐Very poor customer service!
- David (4/5): - Lets talk about gd 1st. Great location, right nx to Robinson shopping mall. Fast elevator, gd cold a/c, outstanding staff, helpful, friendly. Lets see bad, no hot water in room. They say its hot but believe me its not even warm. Water is non portable. Restaurant is not so gd, we ate McDonald's every morning.
- Lyndon (1/5): Sucks…. Property management put profit over healthcare and safety of their guests. - Just the staff 1) Due to the renovation they were doing at the 4th floor, my room smells gas. I was at room 414, next to the three rooms they were renovating. I called and complained. They put me at room 303, just below the renovation rooms. Of course still smells gas. I had enough and checked out. They were offering me to stay in their condo, but I told them no. They told me that it will take time for them to process my refund (checked in for 4 days, but only stayed one night), but i told them I didn’t care about the money, I just want to get out of their property. They staff were apologetic, but it was too little too late. As I was having conversation with two staff, one other staff went up to the 4th and 3rd floor and checked. She did confirm about my complaint.
Property owner and management, health and safety of your guests should comes first and foremost, not your profit. What you’ve done had put your guests health at risk. Unacceptable and negligent on your part.
This is my second time on this property, but will never set a foot again.
2) parking - at the wee hours, you have to park your car behind McDonald or a bit farther . Then you walk at your own risk hoping you don’t get mugged.
- Lani (8/5): Very good -
- Jordan (6/5): Love the location; great service; terrible wifi - Like the hotel. Perfect location. Close to the mall and nearby restaurants. The only issue we had was the wifi constantly disconnecting.
- Lorlie (8/5): Very good -
- Russell (2/5): - I like where it’s located but the room itsel stinks like someone just pooped.
- Henry (5/5): Just an average hotel. - Its location. Kinda old hotel and you can hear the noise outside.
- Cesario (4/5): No elevator at third floor for senior citizen use stairs -
- toniea210 (8/5): Good choice! - Close proximity to Robinson’s Mall and several restaurants and convenience stores. Hot water is abundant though it takes time to heat up. Wifi is strong. Complimentary toiletries and bottled waters are provided. TV has few channels to choose from. Towels and rugs are present. Fresh bed and clean floors as well.
We were told there is a breakfast buffet for Php250.00 ($6.25 CAD) available. Cheaper than the one listed on Expedia ($8.00), so better to purchase from the hotel directly.
I wish the guards are more attentive though.
- Marites (7/5): Good -
- Josh (8/5): - This is what I would describe as an efficiency hotel. That being said the staff is friendly and went above and beyond during our stay. Facilities were clean and very close to the mall and many restaurants. You absolutely cannot beat the price for the area.
At times it was a little loud with the traffic near the mall but I would absolutely stay here again. For any amenities missing the staff and on site restaurant make up for it.
- run_the_world00 (6/5): Good Location, Room for Improvement - Stayed for overnight and had an early check-in. 50% is charged for early check-in which is a standard hotel practice. Very informal front desk staff- they can be more accommodating. Place is not very well kept.
Room is small with chipped walls. Saving grace are the beds and towels which were new and clean. Bathroom is okay, had some basic amenities.
I did not expect much form this place due to its price point. Breakfast is included although we were not able to try it.
Best part is the location which is just in front of Robinsons mall.
- Henry (9/5): Superb -
- Kimberly (6/5): Okay - I love how the hotel was right across the street from Robinsons Mall and near food and restaurant areas I didn’t like how the hallway to the rooms did not have air condition. The elevator was small. Room keys didn’t work.
- Terie shell (10/5): - It’s good.
- Josephine (9/5): Superb -
- MICHAEL (8/5): - F
- Kimberly (10/5): - Great location near the Robinsons Mall. Quite place. Need to have AC in the hallway because it was hot. I love how it’s just across the mall and near McDonald’s. Front desk was very nice and helpful. House keeping was nice too.
- Liza (8/5): Will come back again soon - Almost perfect None
- Meah (5/5): The location of the hotel is very central. - The location is perfect as its located in the main city center, business center area, malls and restaurants, plenty of parking and easy to park. Taxi are only limited in the area
- Thiara (5/5): Passable -
- Aileen (10/5): - Safe and convenient location.
- Zaldy (6/5): - I’d rather say what I did not like. Room was small, no chair and no desk. The bathroom including the shower area was not tiled. It took us while to locate our room as the numbers on the door are rusty and hardly visible. I liked their shower, though.
- Barry (2/5): I will never stay there again. - It’s a perfect location to the mall is the only reason that people stay there The staff are absolutely nonresponsive, non-interactive, not friendly and pretty much antisocial.
The bathroom floor is dirtier than the road surface outside of the hotel.
There is no hot water. It’s barely lukewarm.
- Julianne (5/5): Passable -
- Dolores (1/5): Bad - Front desk are not friendly, night clubs around the property are so noisy, music blasting all night. No water heater for coffee, no complementary coffee or tea, no cups or glass. The only way to access the 3rd floor is to 4th floor and then use the stair well down to the 3rd floor. They sprayed pest control chemical that smells like gasoline on the hallways without notifying us. Overall...I would not recommend this place if looking comfort on your vacation.
- Jhecel (8/5): Very good -
- Lorelei (7/5): Good - The staff are good.
Located within the commercial district and near center of Laoag City
Has a restaurant. The rooms are not very clean.
Elevator is creeky.
- Sino (10/5): - nice place and convenient to everything tnx
- MissBohemia (10/5): Great first stay - Went to Ilocos Norte for a research work and Viven hotel was highly recommended by my colleagues. Since my team only need to work on a few things in the area, we stayed overnight only. It looks like the hotel is a bit old but it still well kept. Staffs were all accommodating, rooms feels safe and secured. The hotel is perfectly located near the mall which makes it easy to run errands if needed. Anyhow, I hope to have the chance to go back to Ilocos Norte and if that happens, I will definitely stay here again.
PS. I was not able to take any photos for my team was dead tired when we arrived and had to be early the next day for work.
- Martinez (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rollin Flores Tusalem (10/5): - I had a great stay in this hotel. The staff is wonderful, and they offer tours!
- Ever (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mary (1/5): The hotel is dated - The hotel is dated there’s only ac in the rooms if that. The rooms smells. None
- Mr (4/5): It was a state of convenience located next to the mall and only the reason I stayed. - They don’t have a real breakfast option the hotel menu caters only local cuisine, which by the way taste terrible It took me over 15 minutes to take a 3 to 5 minute shower because the water pressure barely existed
- Juvhan (6/5): Pleasant - Good location! Accessible to a mall, banks, transportation, and commercial establishments. Comfortable beds and cozy room There is a pungent smell in the bathroom. An air deodorizer would be helpful.
- Edmar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ryan (8/5): Very good - Very close to Robinsons mall and other shops. With a clean pool. Staff are helpful and professional The elevator is small. No free breakfast.
- Richellestar (8/5): Very good -
- Rudy (6/5): - Accessible to bus stop and shopping center. Hotel breakfast should at least start at 6am. Thank you.
- Jolita (8/5): Good value stay, recommend it for those who are not from the area and looking for something inexpensive. - Right in front of a mall and other commercial establishment so if you’re not from the area, its practical and easy to navigate. There’s also a salon inside the hotel. You can also pay upon check in unlike others that would immediately request for payment. The hallways are a bit dim or unattractive. You. cant also open the windows
- Marianoemi (7/5): Good -
- Benny (5/5): Passable - Location cockroaches
- Clyde (4/5): Never going back - At 2300p wasn't included Ice box would be nice. Good air conditioner would be nice
- Mitchell (10/5): - Nice that the pakce ks at the heart of robinsons place, walkable to all the restaurants, accomodating staff!!!
- Norman (9/5): Superb -
- Lester (8/5): Very good - We like the location of the hotel. Their service was good. Their staff are kind & approachable. Clean bathroom. Fast service from their restaurant. There's a bad smell in the room. Their beddings are not pure white, we saw brownish colors in the sides of their blankets. We're not sure if they always clean their pool. The TV has limited channels.
- Valdez (10/5): Exceptional -
- Teresa (3/5): Not recommended for those who have car - Your shower needs to be repair
Water at the shower and heater is not good
You should also provide telephone type shower
Floor drain needs to fix it can cause injury/accident to your guest
You should also provide toilet paper daily and electric kettle to all your rooms
Imagine I ask for one and they tell me it's not available because all was taken by the guest
So I end up buying one
You should also provide 2 keys if you have 2 guest in 1 room
And parking parking parking, provide more parking for your guest
- Sammy (8/5): Thank you for your service, specially all the worker - Good None
- Ma. (7/5): Good -
- Osmundo (10/5): - I liked everythinhg
- Zygaena (5/5): Condescending Staff - The place The staff. Coordinated for airport pickup and confirmed the ETA a day before but they DID NOT show up. Called to let them know the guests have landed and are waiting but was told that it wasn't book and told us to just "take a taxi." Male front desk was very condescending on top of that. Will never book here again.
- Wade (8/5): Very good -
- William (7/5): Good overall. Nothing stands out that would keep me from booking again. - The hotel was nice in a great location. We did not have towels in our room. The bed was comfortable. The location is worth the stay at this hotel.
- Jaarmy (6/5): Pleasant - It was near the city center The smell. There was a really bad smell coming out from the drain of the comfort room
, which is all over room..
- Ma (8/5): Very good - Location
- Joana (8/5): Very good -
