- Dawn (10/5): - Such a lovely hotel , amazing view of the river , was given a upgrade wow it was a 2 bedroom apartment floor to ceiling window in lounge to relax and watch the boats sail by what more could we ask for . The food was all delicious, we had breakfast , lunch and dinner , staff were all very friendly . The hydropool in spa was relaxing everywhere was clean . There were a couple of niggles in the room , the bed was making creaking noises every movement which was a bit annoying so maybe the bedstead was loose ? But other than that it was very comfortable to sleep in , the rooms were incredibly warm so had to open windows couldn’t see any heating on anywhere , one bedside lamp wasn’t working , one of the bathroom sink plunger plugs was very hard to let water out when sink was full it worked eventually , and after a day everytime we opened the room door it started to stick and had to pull door towards us first in order for it to release to get in , all these are easily fixable so we didn’t complain as we were only there for 2 days and we had a lovely stay and would defiantly stay there again

- Deborah (10/5): Lovely retreat - Had a really good one night stay, food was lovely and a nice friendly atmosphere throughout. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful going out of their way when the spa shut earlier than we were told allowing us to use it
- JITEN (6/5): - The hotel experience was mediocre. The telephone in the room was out of order, leaving no way to contact reception or room service without physically going to the front desk. There was also no mobile signal, so using a mobile phone wasn’t an option either. The spa was fine but lacked atmosphere; as the only guest there, no refreshments were offered to help me relax. The room carpet had a visible stain, despite attempts to conceal it. Although the website claimed to offer 24-hour room service, this was not the case. When I returned to the hotel at 2 a.m., I was met by the night porter, who was also cleaning. Upon asking about room service, the only option offered was a chicken sandwich, which he would prepare, so I ended up going to bed hungry. However, I can’t fault the staff, as they were all friendly and polite.

Lovely large room with views over the river. Would have given 5 stars but the requested twin was not made up and there was an event whose Disco was loud and went on until midnight.

Room a good size, clean and lovely view of river, however some niggles overshadowed this by inadequate instructions on some of the room facilities eg. room safe. It was noisy at times, as outside seating area below window. I am also disappointed there was no small chiller/fridge in room especially in an expensive hotel as this. . Restaurant staff very helpful and restaurant was pleasant. Overall unsure if I would return to this establishment.

Riverside views from large windows to enjoy, a nice walk along the river into town, close to Mudeford Quay and all the lovely beaches. Great staff. Delicious breakfast each morning.

- Iestyn (8/5): Great breakfast! - Hotel was clean tidy and welcoming. The "spa" is a very small pool and sauna. It was warm and quiet when we went so we were happy but its not a Spa. The breakfast was amazing - worth the wait as it seems every breakfast is cooked fresh to order. It certainly tasted like that. Lovely river side room.

Comfortable bed and well sound proofed. Didn’t have dinner but had beautifully made cocktails in the bar as a nightcap. Can recommend!! Breakfast was served efficiently by friendly staff, my only small complaint was that my breakfast was served lukewarm on cold plates. Will definitely return soon!!

- Martin (6/5): - The rooms and the property itself were good with a great view. On the first night we stayed (Friday) we eat out and returned to the bar later that evening. The bar staff were great and so was the service. However, on the Saturday night we ate in the restaurant. The quality of the food for the price was poor, and the service in the bar area was appalling. We could find anyone to take our drinks order despite in being table service and ended up forcing an order through over the bar directly. Not good

Especially as I then decided to get a room for my parents and they had the same experience then when they arrived. The rooms were pleasant enough, although could do with a little tlc here and there mainly worktop edges, and carpets looking a little disheveled. However the view soon detracts from these small things in the room. We had the same reception in the spa as with check in, but I totally under We’re all short staffed and overstretched right now, with illness etc. the restaurant staff were lovely and very accommodating, and the food, superb. Im not sure I’d rush back, but overall it was a pleasant stay, I would expect a little more for the money paid though. That said, Thankyou for having us 🙏

We ate in the restaurant on both nights and the food was very nice and due to allergy problems the staff were able to amend the menu to suit us. - Ian (10/5): Excellent stay - Great hotel. Paid for a river view room, but not the best view of the river. Room 118 is not the best view if you get a choice. Did not detract from the two nights, however, as the room was comfortable, well fitted and clean. Staff were excellent throughout with nothing too much trouble. Harry and the restaurant staff were particularly good and always cheerful. Hotel had very good Covid restrictions etc and always felt safe. Plenty of sanitisers around.

Through the roof bringing down ceiling tiles & buckets throughout the landing.

- Frank (10/5): Birthday Stay - Service and food excellent. Room larger than most Only thing I found not up standard was the decorating in the rooms. Being a decorator myself, the walls and woodwork are a bit tatty and if you are paying £150 a night upwards you would expect a little more attention to detail in this area. Where the general people gather for dinner etc was where they seem to pay attention to detail but unfortunately, not in the rooms. May I suggest that their maintenance department use scuff x paint. It's more expensive than your standard Dulux etc but in the long run will save you time and money. Look it up.

We had a deluxe double which was a great size.Hotel & restaurant staff all excellent too, very welcoming and friendly without being too attentive. As we had dinner in the evening I have to say the food & staff were wonderful- not normally our experience in hotels so we usually eat out. Only slight negatives were that the water pressure for the bath took ages to fill so I gave up and had a shower and this was not very powerful at all. As we booked the day before there was no availability to use the spa or have treatments due to spa days. Thought guest may get preferential treatment to non guest but this was not the case. We would definitely stay again but ensure to book the spa in advance.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - This hotel is absolutely outstanding in almost every detail. The river views, and how the hotel has maximised these, are fabulous, as is the bar area, the terrace and the restaurant setting. Our river view room was very large and beautifully presented. The attention to detail generally thought the design of the hotel and its furnishings is excellent. Staff are very attentive and courteous and the food in the restaurant was superb. We particularly appreciated the wine cruise and the commentary from the excellent sommelier. This was one of the most perfect hotels we have stayed in and is highly recommended.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - The room and the view were amazing. What there was of the spa facilities was great. Not sure what is going on with pay and display parking that is being introduced will be in keeping with the appeal of the hotel though. One thing that would improve the appeal of the hotel would have been balconies, but the floor to ceiling windows almost make up for the lacok of these. Lovely area. Great walks, plenty to do. Will definitely come back .

- Jackie A (8/5): Great hotel - Staff very helpful and friendly, great location, good sized bedroom with nice views, I found the bedroom furniture layout very awkward for getting ready (hair/makeup) set up of seating, mirror and sockets didn't work. Breakfast was excellent.
- Ashleen (10/5): Fantastic hotel and staff - Fantastic hotel. The staff are excellent. Even the cleaner was wonderful. She was so kind and even gave me a hug. Can’t wait to go back.
