• Mirya Zayanti (9/5): It is definitely a lovely destination for couples seeking a quiet and romantic getaway. - I truly enjoyed my stay at Royale Chulan Cherating Villas, especially the beautiful beach view which created a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere throughout the trip. Waking up to the sound of the waves and the scenic ocean backdrop was definitely the highlight of my experience. I also appreciated the variety of food options available during breakfast, as it offered a good selection to suit different tastes and made each morning enjoyable. During our stay, my husband unfortunately had a fever, and we were very grateful that one of the staff members kindly assisted us by providing some medication. The thoughtful and caring gesture truly meant a lot to us and reflected the warm hospitality of the team. One area that could be improved is the waiting time for the shuttle car service between the parking area and the chalet, as the delay was slightly inconvenient at times.

• ZAINUDDIN (8/5): A serene and indulgent getaway at an exquisitely tranquil resort - Comfortable stay in a calm and peaceful environment. front staff was welcoming and friendly. breakfast and dinner were good and worth the price. Because our room was located far up the hill, we needed a buggy to get to the beach. However, the buggy had to be requested in advance, and we had to wait for quite some time. When we wanted to return, we eventually had to walk because the buggy never arrived. The staff were also rather slow in responding to reports. For example, I reported the absence of toiletries upon checking into the room and called the staff about it. Only after making 3 reports — 2 by phone and 1 verbally to the front staff — did housekeeping finally come to deliver the toiletries.

I would have left at check in but for the fact it was a 3+ hr drive home The entire premises was run down and dirty. Staff were very slow and not very helpful. Pool was run down. There were dead leaves and insects on the water. The tiles on the base of the pool were broken. The side corner of the pool need some scrubbing.

• Shamyl (8/5): It was a very pleasant stay and the staff were well trained and very helpful. - The staff were well-trained, courteous and accommodating. Ocean View suite was nice and spacious. The hot water in the shower only lasted 3-4min every time we needed to shower. Suggest to have simple deck chairs for the balcony, would be nice. Also would be good to install bedside plug points for charging purposes.

Pool was quite dirty, maybe because it was under maintenance. All else was amazing! Pool was a bit dirty and some animal poop alomg the way to the pool but that's to be expected being surrounded by nature.

The location is excellent, as it is situated directly facing the ocean. The check-in process was smooth, with staff members demonstrating professionalism and courtesy. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, featuring modern amenities such as high-speed Wi-Fi and a comfortable work desk, which made it suitable for both leisure and business purposes. Housekeeping was consistent, and the room was maintained to a high standard throughout the stay. Breakfast was included in the booking and met my expectations. The buffet offered a wide variety of both local and international options, with fresh fruit, pastries, and hot dishes prepared daily. The dining area was clean and well-organized, and staff were attentive in replenishing items. In conclusion, the Royale Chulan Family Villa provided excellent value for money, with outstanding service, comfortable accommodations, and an ideal location. I would highly recommend this property to travelers seeking both convenience and comfort. There was only one restaurant available, and its menu was limited. In addition, the buggy service used to move around the resort was rather slow.

I was a little disappointed that the bathtub was not cleaned properly when we checked into the room. It was a small setback, but once addressed, the rest of the stay was enjoyable.

• Andros (10/5): - We had a truly pleasant stay. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the accommodation was clean and comfortable. The private beach was pristine and peaceful, while the breakfast, though modest in variety, offered authentic local flavors we truly appreciated. My mother especially enjoyed the natural beauty and serene atmosphere, nature lovers will definitely fall in love with this place. We’re definitely looking forward to returning. A small suggestion for improvement: the transition between the beach and the villa area could be made safer, as the steps are slightly uneven. Also, a few pool tiles seemed loose and may require maintenance. These are minor issues, but fixing them would make the overall experience even better.

La salle de restaurant a vraiment besoin d'une rénovation ainsi que les éléments extérieurs transats de la piscine, très usés et inconfortables. Hors période surf, rien à faire à Cherating excepté une sortie pour les lucioles et dans la mangrove malheureusement avec des bateaux vétustes. 2 nuits max.

The breakfast spread quite good and the staff really helpful and friendly like Rose from the reception and few I didn’t get theirs name including the one that drove the buggy . Have to call buggy because I’m not that fit to walk around.

The food was delicious and the portion was filling. Pricing was equivalent to upmarket restaurants ,but it was matched with quality. Not many activities to engage children. It could have provided more games or activity-based equipment.

• Arif Syahir (9/5): Superb - An unforgettable stay that struck the perfect balance between comfort and charm, complete with breathtaking views that left me in awe. To move around the resort, you need to wait for buggy services.

• weiminn2018 (10/5): Perfect beach resort. - A friend had advised us to stay at this Cherating villa 2 yrs ago and only recently we had the opportunity to stay there.. Made up of villas and 6-8 ocean view rooms, set on a hillside to the north of the Cherating beach. Well maintained (not all East Coast hotels are) and with a luxurious finish turned out to be a comfortable stay. The family villa is laid out rather uniquely, the main master bedroom is a large king sized bed with a living area set up between the bed and the balcony. This living area is where we spent most of our time, chatting, drinking coffee and snacking. The other bedroom has a separate entrance to one end of the living area, with a door and it opens up to a smaller room with 2 single beds. The good thing is that the master bedroom has a bigger toilet/shower with a jacuzzi, and the smaller 2 bed room has a WC and shower. That mkes it a villa for a very comfortable stay for 4 adults. Ocean rooms are built beside the pool, next level up are the family villas and further up the suite- villas. Transport by buggy is provided FOC and all you need is a call and the buggy appears within 5 min. We enjoyed the time in the living area and on the balcony watching the sun rise from one corner of the beach and the dusk conditions over the beach. The beach in front of RC is unique as there is a large sand bar towards the sea, followed in wards by a calm pond and then the beach. Very good for young children to play away from the breakers. Our villa came with breakfast and contrary to some reviews, it was a very good breakfast. Breads, cereals, fruits, hot dishes like nasi lemak with condiments, noodles with soup, prata, and our favourite was their turmeric fried chicken. Accompany this were fruit juices and coffee/tea service from fresh coffee machines. Live stations prepared eggs any way you want and service was excellent. For outside meals, you may wish to walk to the south,towards the main Cherating beach for a few beach restaurants serving the public. Agro We planned to stay at Raub and getting a good hotel was a challenge as there were so few. We decided on this hotel because it was new, full time concierge and an ELEVATOR . the other hotels did not. Rooms were functional, clean, all things worked, toilet and shower clean and towels provided. My only complaint is that the shower rail was up but missing the shower curtains. No breakfast but there are coffee shops nearby for your morning brew. Anika Recently renovated with upgraded carpets and flooring - appears better than the last time we stayed, or was it our opting for an upgrade from a standard room. Clean rooms, full complement of towels, and comfortable beds smack in the middle of town. This is our third time staying there.
