- Jonathan (10/5): Al estilo japonés, me encantó!!

- Alex (7/5): - Beautiful Ryokan. Lovely breakfast. Best location of a hotel I’ve ever seen. Short stroll to the beach, Enoshima island and the station. The Onsen is fantastic. If you want to bathe/shower you have to do it in a public washroom. Shared toilets.
- Thitiyaporn (9/5): -
- Ricky (8/5): If you like a traditional style guest house then this is for you. Close to train station 100m away and the enoshima line - I liked the ryokan style of the property. We had a tatami floor room and futon beds. There were separate shared baths for guests. The breakfast was a traditional Japanese breakfast. Nothing.
- saijo (7/5): -
- Arathy (8/5): - The small Ryokan was a pleasant surprise for the price, as Ryokans are not on the cheaper side in Japan. The experience was warm- including the ladies who welcomed us when we checked in, the room and everything else. The baths can be much more maintained and cleaner.

- CHI PING (8/5): -
- Phil (7/5): - Ofuro There was a smell around the stairs area- on the 1st floor and 2nd floor- for the 3 days I stayed there
- Theera (8/5): -
- Masaaki (5/5): -
- HIROSHI (8/5): -
- Heikki (7/5): - Excellent value for the money! The breakfast was good and the location is superb. The room was also very spacious. The premises were a bit old, though nothing that would bother me too much.
- Duncan (10/5): -
- Joanna (6/5): -
- Marie Annabelle (9/5): - Ryokan traditionnel.
Personnel au petit soin. Petit déjeuner traditionnel incroyable.
Partie commune propre.
- yukie (10/5): -
- Berzieri (4/5): -
- Wen (8/5): Overall good - Breakfast No wifi
- Michelle (5/5): Traditional Japanese style room, older place with traditional fish breakfast and no offer of toast and tea for foreigner - Better suited to Japanese travellers. My Aussie family weren’t as comfortable on the hard mats and cold drafts. Not as welcoming as other places to westerners.
- Jerry (7/5): Staff were helpful and accommodating and location is close to two train stations. - Location, price and ryokan’s restaurant-traditional meals. They kept our luggage for a few hours after checkout (no official storage room, just in nook in hallway). Men’s toilet felt exposed-large multi-faucet sink for washing up was shared and sometimes women were in it blow drying hair, so not having en suite bathroom was not comfortable. Public bath was a little small.
- Karen (8/5): Very good -
- An (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast is delicious!
- Ilde (6/5): Great location but very old and smelly - The location was great - a few minutes walk from Katase Higashiyama Beach.
Close by there are combini and a lot of places where to eat and drink.
Breakfast (Japanese style) was also good. The staff was nice and let us leave our luggage in the room before check-in time. There was dust and cobwebs everywhere. The ryokan smelled of food and I felt the hygiene was very poor. The shared bathrooms were not very clean
- Jajwol (5/5): Passable - The location and pricing The rooms really smelled like cigarette smoke
- Japheth (8/5): Staff is very friendly and was worth the stay. - It’s very accessibly to everything. Nothing so far.
- Tiffany (5/5): If you want to experience traditional Japanese room then it's good or else I feel there's better. - Japanese style. There's no lift or elevators so if you have a lot of luggage or heavy items you have to carry up and down yourself from lobby to your room with no help on a steep staircase. During holiday time so there's families with children and you can hear the children running and laughing with both room and genkan door closed. Ofuro wasn't warm enough.
Not sure if they didn't have enough staff but during breakfast no one was around to ask for rice and miso soup with the breakfast they left on the table.
(10/5): Exceptional - friendly kind accomodating staffs..
- Karen (8/5): Very good -
- Anh (8/5): Great location - The staff is very friendly and breakfast was delicious. The ryokan is traditional style so you can enjoy the traditional Japanese atmosphere.
Location is great. You can walk to Enoshima. Japanese old housing doesn't have good soundproof and the ryokan allow pets, so I wouldn't recommend it if you are a light sleeper.
Also there was no sink inside the room, so yoi have to go outside for washing your hand or face.
- I (8/5): Great location and Good Hospitality - The location was very close to the train station. The convenience store is just right next to it. The walking distance to Enoshima takes only 15 mins. Hotel's breakfast was super! The sharing bathroom and toilet was a little not very convenient. The washing sink was a bit narrow which can only fit two adults to use it at the same time.
- Julie (7/5): Good - Very old Japanese style. And the restaurant is great. Toilet is old.
- Holly (5/5): Passable - Breakfast was very good. (So long as you like traditional Japanese breakfast with fish, pickels etc.)The ham side dish and the refillable drink bar for orange juice, soda etc was great.
The location of this ryokan couldn't be closer to all the main attractions and transport. The whole place needs a refurb. I understand this is an old Ryokan hau day during the 90s bubble and now making ends meet. I know it's too much money for a complet revamp but basic up keep and replacements of things has not been done enough. Carpets in the halls were stained and threadbare. Bathroom doors were broken. The price was quite high so at least basic maintenance should be done!
Futons were thiner than I like, thankful there was an extra in the cupboard which I layed out underneath to make it more comfortable.
Some staff were really freindly, but others surly.
- Aina (10/5): Perfect stay - The location was perfect.
Such a good place, and for so cheap!
The morning breakfast was delicious!
- Clara (6/5): Fine Minshiku in Enoshima - Very convenient location to Enoshima Island and Kamakura sights, and good restaurants and Lawsons. Has Japanese beds and breakfast included, great staff. It is old but it is Japanese style room and has hot Japanese bath. I would say it is a Minshiku, I would stay here again
- Anonymous (8/5): good - The food in the restaurant is delicious! Japanese style breakfast is the best! It was nice to have coffee and free drinks with the breakfast. There is no shop in the hotel, so we recommend purchasing at a convenience store in advance. 3 minutes on foot
- Quang (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mon (1/5): Bad -
- Chia2005 (10/5): "Old school" type of ryokan (japanese style hotel) conveniently located in Enoshima - Was looking for a low budget getaway for the weekend close to Tokyo where we can go without a car for a party of 6 ranging from a 4 year old girl and 84 year old grandpa, and found this conveniently located gem! It is NOT located on the Enoshima Island itself, but rather closer to all the railroad stations such as Odakyu Katase-enoshima (which is the last stop on the Odakyu Enoshima Line) and Enoshima Station on Enoden which takes you to Kamakura, and Shonan Enoshima station, which is the last stop on the Shonan Monorail which connects you conveniently to Ofuna Station on JR lines. For less then 1 man yen (approximately $US90 per person) it includes breakfast and dinner, which I thought it was a bargain, however you will not have your own bathroom, instead it is shared bathroom and public bath, but you can pay a fee to use a private bath for your party. Also, please keep in mind that Enoshima itself does not have an Onsen (natural hot spring) so it is just regular hot water to begin with.
However, there is plenty to do here for 2 days on the Enoshima Island itself such as checking out the unique shops along Benzaiten Nakamise Street, Enoshima Shrines, going up to the Sea Candle for the views (and if you are lucky you can see Mt. Fuij from here), Enoshima Daishi, Iwaya Cave or going to the Enoshima Aquarium. Or could be a great place to stay if you want to go to Kamakura from here.
If you want to try a typical old-fashioned Japanese style ryokan without breaking your wallet, come here.
