Aoy oy (JJ’s wife) especially helpful with boat transfers and taxis for us. Could not get Wi Fi / internet in the bungalow / accommodation. Made it difficult for us to plan future hotels etc.

Depending only on a generator für electricity they banned water kettles from the rooms - but every morning we found a big thermos bottle with very hot water on our terrace! Breakfast was not included

• Mikael (8/5): Härlig - Vi fick en fin bungalow med stort luftigt rum, bra badrum med skön dusch. Att man inte kan välja varmvatten störde ej, då det var lagom ljummet för att duscha i när det var så varmt. När vi kom så luktade det mögel i rummet, men personalen fixade kol, så det försvann helt ganska snabbt! Boendet ligger fint på stranden och nära till huvudgatan, så du saknar inget här. Även om vi inte är de som brukar äta på hotellens egna restauranger så såg vi att det var en mycket populär restaurang, så de har säkert utsökt mat! -

• Ute (9/5): The most relaxing place we have been to! - We liked it so much, that we came back later for another 10 days. The staff is very cute and professional. The cook is fantastic. JJ very helpful, he has built his resort into the forest, so the very old high trees give lovely shade to the houses. The sea is perfect, warm and clear. And so many exotic birds you can hear and sometimes see. But if you want to stay there book far in advance. Some people stay there for months. Save Koh Phayam, it is still a paradise! Leave it like it is! We liked everthing

Die Anlage ist auch für Kinder gut geeignet (wir selbst waren ohne Kinder unterwegs). Der Garten ist sehr gepflegt. Die Anzahl der Strandliegen ist überschaubar - da sollte evtl. noch nachgebessert werden. Die Häuser stehen sehr nah zusammen, Schritte, Gespräche...

• San (1/5): Warnung vor unehrlichen Methoden - Schlechteste Erfahrung in Thailand, ich kann vor diesem "Resort" nur warnen! Ich war eine Stunde vor Check in Zeit vor Ort. Mir wurde der Bungalow gezeigt und ich war erschrocken über den Zustand, wobei ich noch die höherwertige Kategorie gebucht hatte. Die Bilder auf booking hatten keinesfalls etwas mit dieser heruntergekommenen, überteuerten Absteige zu tun. Als ich freundlich um eine Stornierung bat, weil die Unterkunft nicht den Angaben entspricht wurde mir kurz vom Manager gesagt, ja ich kann kostenlos stornieren. Ich hab eine Stornierungsanfrage noch vor Ort geschickt und diese wurde nicht bestätigt. Als ich dann hartnäckig blieb und auf meine Erstattung bestand, wurde der Ton ein ganz anderer. Mir wurde sogar von der Office-Mitarbeiterin mit der Polizei gedroht. Doch davon ließ ich mich nicht einschüchtern. Schlussendlich kam der Manager JJ, der von seinen jahrelangen zufriedenen Kunden erzählte, die sogar seine "Freunde" sind. Ganz genau, er nennt sie Freunde, um deren Geld zu erhalten. Er hat dann vorgeschlagen, er öffnet nun die Verfügbarkeit des Bungalows und erstattet mir bei einer Buchung eines anderen Gastes das Geld zurück. Von wegen! In dem Moment, als ich das Grundstück verließ wurde meine Stornierungsanfrage abgelehnt. Zu allem Überfluss wurde bei booking eine No-Show angegeben, sodass mir trotz Bezahlung keine Bewertung ermöglicht werden soll. Diese Unterkunft betrügt nicht nur die Gäste, sondern auch booking. Sehr manipulativ und unehrlich. Es ist wirklich eine Schande für Thailand.

• Jenna (7/5): - Sijainti oli hyvä ja henkilökunta mukavaa! Kaunis rantaravintola ja hyvä ruoka. Toki annoksia, kuten aamiaista voisi päivittää tähän päivään. Lakanoita ei vaihdettu kertaakaan 6 yön yöpymisen aikana ja niissä oli öljytahrat edelliseltä asiakkaalta. Suihkusta tuli vain kylmää vettä ja joskus hanasta tuli aivan ruskeaa vettä, jossa oli hiekkaa ja ötököitä. Skootterin vuokrausaika oli minimissään 2vrk ja hotellilla oli saaren kallein hinta.

• Andreas (9/5): Für ruhige erholsame Tage am Strand - Besonders hervorzuheben ist das freundliche, aufmerksame und hilfsbereite Personal. Vom Empfang über das Serviceteam im Restaurant bis zum Roomservice stimmte alles. Die Lage des Resorts ist außergewöhnlich. Die Bungalows liegen etwas zurück im Wald und das Restaurant liegt direkt am Strand. Die Bungalows sind recht groß und bieten alle eine überdachte Terrasse. Teilweise haben sie zusätzlich noch eine Dachterrasse. Sie sind zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Die teureren Luxusbungalows scheinen etwas neuer zu sein und bieten eine Klimaanlage. Die anderen haben lediglich Ventilatoren. Durch die schattige Lage im Wald lässt es sich hier aber auch gut aushalten, weil man die Fenster geöffnet lassen kann, da sie mit dichten Mückennetzen ausgestattet sind.
• Nina (8/5): Entspannter Inselurlaub - Nettes Bungalow, mit allem was man braucht. Das Team ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Egal ob auf der Insel oder bei der Weiterreise - es wird einem immer geholfen. Uns hat die kleine Anlage gut gefallen & wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Wir hatten zum Duschen nur Kaltwasser - aber man gewöhnt sich daran.

• Nils (9/5): Super Aufenthalt am großen Strand der Insel in der Nähe aber nicht direkt an der Hauptstraße, guter Zugang zu den Restau - Das absolute Highlight der Unterkunft ist das Personal das sich sehr gut um seine Gäste kümmert. Auf Anfrage bekamen wir Warmwasser, was auch sehr gut funktioniert hat. Die Bungalows waren sehr sauber und wurden täglich gereinigt. Auch der Rest der Anlage war sehr gepflegt. Sehr gut gelegen am Haupstrand. Kostenlose bodyboards und Sandelzeug für Kinder Gutes Restaurant Die Anlage ist etwas eng bebaut, Man sieht den älteren noch nicht renovierten Bungalows ihr Alter an. Keine Aircon, Aber das ist alles Jammern auf sehr hohem Niveau

• Eric (7/5): The average of my 2 experiences (2015 and 2025) in JJ is good enough to reserve again in the future. - The ressort is in the front of the most beautiful beach of the Island. The staff is polite and very helpful. This location is also walking distance of many types restaurants. There is MiniMart at 2 minutes walking. Our stay was 5 days. When we arrived in the bungalow, the bed smelled strongly musty and there was an opening under the washroom overhang of the roof: a huge door for mosquitoes. On my complaint, the manager moved us in an other bungalow 1 hour later. This last was new and very clean although one pillow smelled lightly musty. This was fixed as well. We staid in this bungalow for 3 days and we were upgraded in a more luxury bungalow for the last 2 days. Still, the matrice smelled lightly musty. As our timing was at the end of the rain saison, they might have bedding problem of fast drying?

• Christine (8/5): Preis Leistung stimmt, zumindest in der Vorsaison. - Meersicht, große Dachterrasse. Personal extrem freundlich und lustig. Auf meine Wünsche wurde recht schnell reagiert (Bungalow Wechsel). Essen sehr gut. Sehr schöner Strand. Ich hatte zuerst einen Bungalow ohne Klima, weshalb es sehr feucht war. Und es gab nur kaltes Wasser. Ich bekam schnell einen anderen. Hier war das Wasser dann sehr heiß, weil es keine Mischamaturen gibt. Es waren trotz aller Vorsicht mit den Moskitonetzen sehr viele Moskitos im Raum.

Spacious, good lighting, large comfortable bed, good clothes hanging area, lots of mirrors, mini fridge, air-con and a large modern bathroom. Perfect for a relaxed beach holiday 😊 There was really nothing that we didn’t like.

• Luke (8/5): Very good - JJ is a super friendly guy who is very welcoming. The staff there are all friendly too. Restaurant right on the beach. Very family kind of vibe with the guests which isn't bad but I was travelling solo. A bit on the pricey side of things but I stayed in high season.
• Dani (10/5): Exceptional - The place is nice situated quite close to the beach, depending of the room you will have. The food it is amazing and you should try fish at their place, they have an amazing chef.
• Nicolaas (9/5): Superb - As always, we loved our stay here! It is the third time and come back every time we visit Koh Phayam. It has a great location close to the beach. The first days of our stay were rainy and the roof terrass was spacious and excellent for sitting outside. We also appreciated the roof terrass when our daughter (9) was sleeping and we had some time for ourselves in the evening/morning. The personal is very friendly and always willing to help. As they say, you'll be treated as family. We love to borrow their bodyboards and enjoyed playing in the waves every evening. Next time we visit Koh Phayam, we will be back! Nothing JJs may have control over but the wifi speed is unreliable.

• Danielle (9/5): Lovely home away from home at a beautiful beach on super chill island - Loved the location, the beautiful beach, the nice set up of the restaurant. The food was delicious. I stayed in a tent and although very basic, it was all I needed and very cosy. Above all, the staff were the best, they made me feel like I was home away from home. Would love to come back one day so no goodbye! The tent could use a few new zippers and maybe some mosquito coils would be nice, although i could also buy them at the minimart (2 minute walk).

No refrigerator on room, and I didn't see it before. We could arrange ourselves with it, but you should know. It is clean, but somehow could be cleaned better. As they might use some real brushes to clean the outdoor facilities. It is a bit a shame, as it could be so much more classy as it currently is. I understand it is in the jungle, but cleaning the tiles is not impossible once a week. As it is hot all the time, you keep your windows open also at nights. The houses are close together, so you can hear your neighbors very well. Some might like to have more space between their neighbors...

• Piotr (6/5): Probably nice during the high season, but much less so during the rainy season - Fantastic location next to Ko Phayam's finest beach, the size of the bungalows, friendly staff I wouldn't really recommend it during the low season. Our bungalow was stuffy and the bedsheets smelled like they had been washed a while ago. The beach bar was boarded up and the resort "restaurant" only served very basic food – which mattered a lot on the most rainy days when riding a motorbike to the other side of the island was a challenge. They were open for business and yet sort of ignored our needs, which wasn't fair as we were paying customers - high season or not.

• Nadine (9/5): Small, family owned resort with exceptional service and near to the beach - Beautiful old garden with lots of big trees and shade. Beautiful, very long beach for surfing, walking and swimming with practically zero trash. The most important about this resort is the family feeling and the very friendly staff from owner to cleaning staff - everybody is exceptionally friendly. Fresh fish is amazing at the restaurant. Many people come back here regularly because JJ and his team make you feel at ease. Nice shaded terrace with table and lounge bed for private time. They are renovating bungalow by bungalow- so give them some time. Ours (B2) only had an overhead shower which is not ideal with children

• Travelguru! (9/5): Nice cosy tents and bungalows by the beach - I stayed in a tent on a raised platform and loved it. Close to the beach. Lovely staff and a great restaurant. I did not like that the squirrels left poo right at the door of my tent almost every night. But when I asked, the staff quickly and thoroughly cleaned it.

The staff and owner of JJ’s treat people like family - it was a complete pleasure staying there! The standard of cleanliness in the rooms is very high. The food in the restaurant is very good. There’s an excellent chef at JJ’s! The location is great! Excellent value for money! We look forward to returning to JJ’s! Not a thing!

• Miro (3/5): nicht empfohlen - Die Lage ist gut am Long Beach Buchen Sie kein "Deluxe Bubgalow"! Das Zimmer war feucht, modrig und schimmlig. Es hatte auch Kakerlaken und andere Insekten im Zimmer. Diese Zimmer dürften eigentlich nicht mehr vermietet werden. Ich musste nach einer Nacht abbrechen und an einen anderen Ort ziehen. Die Villas und Zelte schienen OK, kann ich aber nicht beurteilen. Inhaber sind überspitzt freundlich, machen sich aber ständig über die Gäste lustig wenn man einwenig Thai versteht.
• Sami (9/5): Great place to stay at. Would go again. - Location is good. Staff is helpfull. Food is good. Air-con would have been a plus. And fan in the ceiling stopped working.
• Carberry (10/5): Exceptional - The location is fantastic, opening to the middle of the beach with a beautiful shady area to sit and have breakfast or watch the sunset. Staff are exceptionally helpful and nice. The rooms are spacious with a wonderful rooftop area with hammocks and lounge furniture for relaxing and listening to the birds in the surrounding jungle. I would have liked a small fridge in my room to keep drinks cool.

• Kurt (9/5): Superb - Great PRICE-PERFORMANCE ratio, friendly and very accommodating staff, fast Wifi, location directly at the beach, only a few infrastructure around hotel, the beach was suitable for swimming as the water level is always enough
• Sunanta (10/5): Exceptional - All staffs have service mind. All menus are delicious.All people are friendship.Rooms are clean. The staff clean the room everyday.
• Jason (8/5): Very good - Could hear the sound of the surf from the bungalow and I love swimming in the sea. Dining on the beach was super and the restaurant food was very good. Bungalows were comfortable and clean. The resort didn’t overwhelm the nature. The cost was a real plus; JJ’s delivered great vacation value.
