- Kerry (8/5): Lovely Villa with great facilities ... - We enjoyed our stay at this Villa. It was well equipped, extremely clean and comfortable. The pool was beautiful too. But the room advertised upstairs (small ante room with lounges to escape/relax) is unusable. The staircase is very dangerous (narrow, no railing and no sides!) and there was no furniture up there - at all - despite what was shown in the website photos! One of us took a quick look, but none of us actually went up there. The Villa is close to great shops and restaurants, but it is a bit of a haul to get to 'Eat Street' - certainly too far to walk. However, if you want to avoid the scene in Seminyak Square, this location is ideal. It is very peaceful and quiet and you get a great night's sleep, as the rooms are very private. Laneway is difficult for a small van to access, but it is a very short trip to the local mini-mart, so this is a good meeting point if you have a driver booked. As the Villa is quite new, they have taken steps to be more eco-friendly too, which impressed us, as Bali is so overrun with tourists (us!), it is good to see that they are attempting to care a little more for it's longevity. We also loved Dickie, our security guard, who arrived every evening to stay on-site to ensure we were safe. This was a fabulous addition, given that we were five females. He was very alert, but never intrusive and we slept very soundly knowing he was there!
