- Jeannine (10/5): - Words are not enough to describe. It was just WOW.
- Lisa (7/5): -

Generalnie to miejsce to jakaś katastrofa.
- Antonio (4/5): Muddy view over lagoon - When i searched booking.com we were looking for something in Trou D’eau Douce, this property come up with nice pictures but in reality its in Old Port facing and muddy lagoon!
Was a bit disappointing at first sight, very small pool but the staff was friendly and the restaurant had good food hence taking so long to serve this food!
There is nothing with in 30 minutes either side of this place and no internet in the rooms so for someone planning to complete disconnect from everything it’s good! Not being in Trois D’eau Douce as i searched for,
being next to muddy lagoon

- Rakshita Remy (10/5): Amazing - Service , food , ambiance , very good
- Oomajee (8/5): Super Cosy and Nice Place - Peaceful environment and amazing views😍
Staff very friendly and always have a great smile when we came across them during the stay🥰😇
Food was delicious.. was really tasty🤤

- Helen (8/5): Peaceful place lovely staff site needs more investment - The hotel is quirky in design, a bi t of a hippy vibe. Tucked away on a bend and teh restaurant and pool between the open ocean and a mangrove inlet. The rooms are extremely rustic and each has a small balcony over the mangrove. The staff were extremely helpful. Two of our party were very sick the day before our booking and they allowed us t move the day we were coming so we didn't spread the illness.
The beds are huge and comfortable. The staff give you mosquito repellant tablets for the plus ins. The whole site is now looking tired. I stayed a year ago and it seems to be even worse now. My partner fixed our broken toilet which did not flush. In the morning the air conditioning waste water pipe had burst and had flooded our bathroom and over our toothbrush. The restaurant prices had oncreased astronomically from the previous year when I had lobster. I dont expect to pay London lobster price in Mauritius and it was half price the year before. They did do a discount as we were a party of 5 eating and we were guests. One of the reasons I booked again for this year was for the restaurant. At these prices for food we can eat in other places less far from our base.
- Frəd (9/5): Amazing - Sophia is the soul of this place. She has been wonderful throughout our stay. Kind, energetic and professional, she has made sure we have a fabulous stay, remain comfortable and satisfied. The view of the lodge is amazing and it brings such peace to the soul. Exactly what we needed. In order to be safe from mosquitoes, it would be great to have mosquito repellent in the rooms by default.
The pool could be a little cleaner.
- Joanna (9/5): Superb -
- Vimal (6/5): Pleasant - The outstanding Mountain views The property needs proper renovation
- Vimal (6/5): Pleasant -

- Hubertn (10/5): Perfect escape from every day life - The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They made sure that we were missing nothing. The room was spacious and very cozy. The bed was comfortable and the view of the sea from the bed is incredible. Only thing that bothered me was the shower temperature that was stuck on a temperature quite uncomfortable to me but great for my fiance. The breakfast was great and I ate well. The dinner was very warm, we were cozy, the music not too loud, people were enjoying themselves and my fiance and I were able to enjoy a relaxing date. I should have booked a longer stay but it was worth every cent.
- Thierryrml (8/5): Very good -
- Kim (1/5): Denied access!!!!!! - We were refused access. Saying booking.com price is erroneous. We book. N u make mistake. We lose lots of time, mo ey n disturbance.
- Aleksandra (9/5): Superb - Beautiful and relaxing place for getaway in nature
- Rachois (9/5): Superb - Staff was amazing enjoy a lot of good moment
Food was amazing
- Sohel (2/5): One to avoid - Staff lady who was the receptionist bar tender probably chef waitress. But she was lovely and very kind person Inadequate ac full of insects full of mosquitoes room was like a horse shed.
Really sorry for the negative review but it is how it is. Checked out a day early. Tried to contact Booking.com but there was no WiFi in the room . Even in the bar it was virtually non existent
- Sandra (8/5): Very good - A cute, very easy/ basic accomodation. A good place to spend 2-3 nights
- Russell (5/5): Passable - Friendly staff No room fridge.
Very basic. Backpack type accommodation
- Jorge (4/5): Disappointed. Not recommended for couples - The location and the view The rooms, the smell, the cleanlinness (or lack of it), the lack of privacy and the fact that the photos are somewhat misleading
- Lina (9/5): Superb -
- Provencal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (8/5): Very good -
- Georgios (8/5): Very good -
- Patrice (8/5): Lovely to see an unspoiled corner of Mauritius - Beautiful spot, charming guesthouse.
Lovely staff
- Linda (8/5): Had a very pleasant day! ❤️ Sure will come back again. - Breakfast was nice. But TEA shld have been last. . But the personnel was very helpful and pleasant and attended to our demands. The green lemon served in the cocktail was very bitter. And I cldn't drink it. Guess the yellow one wld have been better.
More coffee and vanilla tea instead of green tea. The milk powder was as solidified and cld not be used.
- Yan (4/5): Disappointing -
- Nick (5/5): Ideal to wind down in preparation of going to have driving around Mauritius - Friendly staffs with lovely smile even though the breakfast seems ok due to its area where very little shops could provide excellent supplies. Lovely scenery gave a perfect opportunity to wind out after a long flight giving me a time to recover before start to explore the world of Mauritius. Very windy and wind breakers would be nice to have some. It is just where the building is based facing to the sea which is almost continually windy.
- Chahine (2/5): Very poor - Lovely staff
Great foods
Great location
Amazing views
Accommodation as mentioned antique
No curtains or door between toilet and room.
Room very small
But the outside is absolutely gorgeous
Be mindful the area around the accommodation have CCTV, just don't go naked😜😜😜
Overall was a great experience
- Dussoye (8/5): Very good - More progress
- Lianne (8/5): Cosy and friendly accommodation with a great restaurant - We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very friendly and helped us organise our trips and local transport. The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean. Starting the day with a coffee on the deck was just lovely.
The restaurant has a vast menu; we had great dinners, thanx to a wonderful chef! It is convenient to have a rental car when staying at the accommodation as it is a bit out of town. Bring enough cash/cards. No ATM nearby.
- Helen (10/5): Beautiful location fantastic restaurant lovely staff will visit again when back in Mauritius - Lovely location for my 60th Birthday. We were on an Island tour on our Royal Enfield motorbikes and we chose this location as the place to stay for my birthday. We had a lovely room overlooking the mangroves. Huge bed big shower. Mosquito plug in repellers and air conditioning. The staff were fabulous amazing chef- I had 2 lobster dishes which were heaven. We were given a complimentary arrival drink which was a lovely touch. Felt authentic and was relaxing There was nothing that I did not like
- Kristyna (6/5): Nice place, but... - Breakfast and dinner were both very good! It was a calm and relaxing place. There wasn't a wifi in the rooms (at least when we were there) and the only place to get it was in the reception area. It seemed to be though caused by the cyclone the previous month so something that they will likely soon fix!
We found that price for dinner was quite high and there weren't many alternatives around.
There isn't much to do in the area so it's worth going if you like peace and quite.
We found a cockroach in our appartment :(
- Claudia (8/5): Cool stay with an awesome view. Perfect for one night. - The location is amazing! The view when you wake up is just perfect. The bed was quite comfortable. It was definitely an experience. The pool is lovely with a view of the ocean and the breakfast was great! The bedsheets weren’t completely clean but this is an easy fix. Everything else was nice and clean. We did get eaten up by mosquitoes so a mosquito net would really make a huge difference here. Otherwise I recommend mosquito spray and closing the windows and using AC.
- Vaishnavi (5/5): Passable -
- Nathalie (7/5): Idyllic setting, amazing views, comfortable sleep but missing some management. - It's an experience, a very idyllic setting.
The view from the room was amazing, sea view, mangrove view, even a little mangrove at the front-door, back of the room with colourful crabs.
The location is really nice if you have a car, it's a bit far from everything so you definitely need a car.
Breakfast was ok. Nice place outside for breakfast with sea view so that makes up for a lot.
The pool looked very inviting but we didn't use it (had really bad rain during our stay), great sea view from the pool.
The bed was quite hard but so comfortable!
The rooms are large and comfortable. But the walls are thin, you can hear your neighbours snore... so they can hear everything from you as well :-) Not very private in that matter.
The balcony is amazing just to sit, relax, read, have a rum, but if your neighbours smoke... would be nice to have smoke free rooms in the middle of nature but that's personal.
The bathroom and shower, well it's basic but it works! We did have an issue one half day + morning, after a very heavy rainstorm there was no hot water in the showers. That can happen, but nobody informed us, we had to go ask for a solution (buckets with water) ourselves.
Which brings me to management, I wonder where management was. Friendly staff but clearly no real management training or customer satisfaction training. Again, friendly young girls but they need some guidance to deal with different types of people and guests and anticipate in case of problems like the lack of warm water, a simple communication about it would have been nice, that's all.
Would we stay again? Like I said, it's an experience, the location is brilliant, the quiet nature, the birds on the water, the views... we stayed for 3 nights, that was enough. Would we go back for like 2 nights? Yes definitely.
- Sudarshinee (10/5): 10/10 would go back - Everything. And food was DELICIOUS, staff so lovely Liked everything!
- Andrew (7/5): An alternative, rustic experience. - A different sort of accommodation experience in Mauritus and unlike traditional hotels. The views were amazing and the bed was very big and very comfortable. The staff are very helpful and the onsite restaurant has a good selection and at good prices. A nice stop over experience for one or two nights. The accommodation is rustic but so rustic that it had no glazed windows so either the doors were shut, and complete darkness, for using the aircon or open and no aircon but mosquitos instead. The location does mean you need a car as there is nowhere to eat, drink or walk to outside of the mini resort.
- Samantha (8/5): Lovely. Staff could have been better - Beautiful location Staff not great grasp of English. Menu very limited for vegetarian
- Jemila (8/5): My arrival I was a bit dissapointed( it was during the night), it was further than I expected from the airport. I would - The view is magnificent! The infinity pool will make anyone dream. I kind of like the concept of the *la case pecheur. The location is great, love the sit out on the balcony Water hazard for children- the pool is not fenced, water around is not fenced. No signs around to let parents know of water hazard. Not really child friendly unless you want to surpervise yr child 24/7. Not very relaxing in that sense if you can sit back and let yr children run around. The finishing of the building is not the greatest. The inside could look better especially the bathroom, the floor.
- Janus (8/5): Very good -
- Sue (7/5): Good -
- Fanny (1/5): I left after 1 night for another place - View - size of the room Impossible to close properly the room - not safe - lot of bugs and spiders - not welcoming crew
- Dheerendra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (8/5): Perfect view in Mauritius - Lovely private terrace on the water, the food was amazing! Very good breakfast with eggs, fresh fruits, yoghurt… Nice swimming pool. Very friendly staff! The room itself is a bit outdated, the mattress a bit hard
- Melanie (4/5): Disappointing - The view The room is small and everything is old or broken. It is not value for money
- Shivangini (5/5): Passable -
- Monica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shawn (10/5): We wanted to spend a couple of days in the South East of the island and La Case du Pécheur was just -
- Rachel (9/5): Superb -
- Yamomami (10/5): Atmospheric place, helpful staff - Atmospheric place, helpful staff
- Fiona (10/5): Exceptional - The breakfast was great, with a nice selection of choice. The setting is idyllic
- Nick (5/5): Passable - The tranquility. The location. felt a bit trapped and obliged to pay the expensive restaurant prices as there was nothing else available if you don’t drive.
- Roland (7/5): Marmite - love it or hate it - The location was very different and quite special
If you want a five star resort this isn't for you
The breakfast was average but dinner was very good.
I found the staff very friendly and helpful
There was a kettle in the room and Wi-Fi
On check out day we kept our room until 5pm at no extra cost We were there three nights and the room was not serviced
No hair dryer
- Jaanus (8/5): It was a relaxing start for our Mauritius holidays! - Location is a little bit remote, but nature around is beautiful. It's a good place for them, who love to relax and enjoy few peaceful days. We really liked the dinners, very tasty and good service. All staff was helpful and friendly. Due to wild nature around, nights were a little bit noisy.
- Jon (8/5): Pleasant place to stay - lovely to sit on the balcony with the lagoon to look at. Road noise a bit intrusive.
- Veronika (7/5): Good - The view from the terrace. Later check-out which was good for us because we headed to the airport later in the afternoon. We had cockroaches, quite a big crab and even a mouse in the hut. So we didn't feel comfortable at night. Also nothing against mosquitos was provided. The mud from the mangroves is a bit smelly. Some of the staff was nice but with some of them we had a feeling that we are bothering them. When we were at the bar, nobody paid attention to us. So I asked twice if we can order some drinks. The girl wrote down our room number and then she left and never came back :D
- Satianand (7/5): Good - Relax No fridge in rooms
- Damien (7/5): Good -
- John (9/5): Saved our Mauritius holiday - Location is a real alternative place - something we wanted - breakfast and dinner excellent, staff lovely - it is a very natural beautiful setting - it is an amazing place - but this is an experience not a luxury hotel - it is a one off
- Erika (9/5): Superb -
- Bouwer (8/5): Very good -
- Tg (4/5): unique location, but staff is just lazy 🧟♀️ - great location, but that is about it. staff did not make us feel welcome, ignoring us first at the check in later on breakfast. pricey.
- Jane (9/5): Superb - The staff were very friendly and very helpful. I wanted to change my room because I wanted a slightly different view and they were happy to accommodate my request. Food was great too and the sunset views are spectacular from the rooms.
- Kristiina (10/5): perfect! such a great experience! - such a lovely place with the most incredible staff. highly recommended both the hotel as well as the restaurant.
