• ciriaca (10/5): Not for the beach, but for the peace and quiet - Peaceful bamboo bungalow surrounded by nature This is a beautiful bamboo bungalow in a very quiet setting, perfect if you are looking to slow down and disconnect. I ended up extending my stay for a few more days because I really appreciated the calm atmosphere. It’s not close to the sea, so you’ll need a motorbike to get around. For me, this was not a problem at all, as I specifically chose this place to have some peace and privacy. One thing to note is that my room was described as having a sea view, but the sea is no longer visible due to the trees growing, so it would be good to update this in the listing. One suggestion: it would be nice to have some curtains on the terrace, as the afternoon sun makes it difficult to fully enjoy the space. On the first day, I found ants on my clothes and inside my suitcase, even though I had no food. However, when I informed the reception, the staff responded immediately and gave me a spray, and the issue was quickly resolved. Overall, a lovely and peaceful place, ideal for those who appreciate nature and quiet more than convenience
• David (10/5): I'll be back! - Peaceful, centrally located hill top environment away from the popular beach areas. Simple, but well decorated and roomy bamboo huts. Breakfast good and inexpensive. Perfect place to chill with a book and hammock. Nothing to dislike. The huts are close together so it would be a problem if noisy neighbours, but thankfully everyone was considerate while I was there. It is definitely not a rowdy vibe.

• Christoph (10/5): - On the first look it seems to be basic. But the designs is rather sophisticated then basic. With attention to detail. Didn't expect that. And the best hammock in whole Thailand btw ;-) It's not hot at night and we didn't had any serious mosquito problems or problems with other animals. Fan is totally sufficient thanks to the open design. Fridge is a plus and is very silent too. You need a scooter and then the location is just in the middle of the island and close to everything.

• Stefano (10/5): Da ritornarci, sicuramente! - Tutto: la tipologia dei bungalow (interamente in bamboo), la calma del posto, la gentilezza della ragazza che si occupa di tutto... da ritornarci, sicuramente! Nulla, non avrei potuto chiedere nulla di più a questo genere di struttura che, ovvio, non ha le caratteristiche di un hotel stellato ma proprio per questo offre un fascino indiscutibile collocato nell'ambito di quest'isola.

• adam (10/5): Beautiful natural bamboo rooms! - Beautiful rooms constructed of bamboo and natural materials. Very clean with nice and helpful staff. A peaceful and romantic environment. Hard to think of anything not to like! The location is good, convenient for shops and restaurants but maybe a little far from the beach for some people.

• Juliane (10/5): - Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in unserem Bambusbungalow. Kleine feine Anlage Hellhörig aber baubedingt nicht zu vermeiden. Man bekommt einiges mit von den anderen Bungalows. Das hat uns aber nicht gestört, da die anderen Gäste ruhig waren und die Gegend auch sehr ruhig ist.

• LUKE (10/5): Beautiful island, lovely people, great accommodation - Didn’t want to leave - Amazing location, feels like you’re in the jungle with hornbills and other wildlife surrounding you with a distant view of the sea. Nice and central of the island so easy to get to everywhere. Lovely family run business with very helpful staff. The breakfast was tasty, there are western options but me and my husband both agreed that the rice soup was outstanding. They also offer a laundry service here which we took advantage of, we handed over an embarrassing amount of dirty clothes which were returned to us a day later, smelling amazing and it was very reasonably priced. The bamboo huts are really nice with a big comfy bed, it’s simple but for what we paid, it felt like an absolute bargain. We visited lots of different areas in Thailand but this was probably our must memorable accommodation. We loved our stay here but one slight thing to note is that there is little to no hot water which wasn’t a big deal for us and we heard that this is pretty standard on the island. And a cool shower was often welcome after being out in the sun all day.

Les chiens qui aboient toute la nuit La proximité des bungalows = on entend tout ce que font les autres. Pas vraiment au milieu de la jungle, on entend la route, mais ça reste largement acceptable.

• Sonya (10/5): A truly wonderful place to stay - We love this place - it's what we call in England 'glamping'. It is fabulous value for money, the huts are beautiful, the beds are super comfortable, the bathroom is really nice - just cold water though (which to be honest is all you need here). We love the sunsets, the views, the peace and quiet. The comfy hammock to lie in and enjoy. The family who runs this place are so nice and work so hard to keep everything in good order. Breakfast is good - tea, coffee, hot chocolate, we have always had fresh fruit, muesli and yoghurt which is delicious.

The bungalow are basically open, no walls, just bamboo. So you can find small animals inside, or ear them from the outside. Anyway beautiful

• Sam (4/5): Good value and nice location but all the rest very bad - The mattress Impossible sleep , every night who knows how many dogs all around the property barking and fighting all night long and even if report to the receptionist nothing never change in 5 days of our stay , our neighbors run away as well for the same reason . Stuff sadly not helping in nothing , not smiling and very cold . Breakfast very bad , we did just once because literally serving bacon and ham like cooked days before and as stones plus half of the ingredients were missing and we pay anyway full price .

They are bamboo huts but with a super comfortable bed and really nice bathroom. Just a cold shower but it was just what we needed really. The family here are really friendly and the whole area is kept very clean and tidy. Breakfast is small but very tasty with as much tea and coffee as you like.

• Miriam (10/5): Exceptional - The huts are simple but you have everything you need. The view is amazing and the balcony (the hammock) is a perfect place to relax. The breakfast was delicious. The location is perfect if you have a scooter. You can reach every place on the island in 15 min and the beach is only 5 min away by scooter. The bed was comfortable and the mosquito net looked like new. It was a really nice stay and we definitely would come back! There are a lot of mosquitoes so you need mosquito spray ;)

• Kharinna (10/5): Wonderful Stay at Phuree Hut Koh Phayam - I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Phuree Hut in Koh Phayam. The host family was attentive and present throughout the day, ensuring that all guests felt welcomed and comfortable. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and I found Phuree Hut to be one of the most well-maintained places I've stayed at in Thailand. The breakfast offered three delicious options: eggs with toast, yogurt with fruits, or rice soup with chicken or vegetarian. While they only had coffee powder and not freshly brewed coffee, there were plenty of coffee shops nearby in the direction of Long Beach, offering a wide variety of coffee options. Additionally, the location is perfect, with Phuree Huts situated in the heart of the island, making it a mere 5-10 minute drive to any other place on the island. The trees around the houses provide shade, and a gentle breeze accompanies you as you relax on the hammock on the balcony. Phuree Hut also offers laundry services for clothing. I highly recommend Phuree Hut for a relaxing and enjoyable stay on Koh Phayam. I will definitely be back! I feel it's important to mention that the bungalows are very close to each other. This proximity means that sounds from neighboring bungalows can be heard. However, I understand that this closeness is part of the natural setting of the resort, so it's just something to be aware of.
• Anna (10/5): I will be back :) - I stayed at Phuree Hut for four nights, four nights of peaceful sleep due quiet location. I loved waking up in the morning, opening the door and just looking at the ocean straight from my bed. Great spot for morning meditation :) The staff was very nice. Easy access to the beach, shops and other locations on the island. I would most certainly stay again!

• Sonya (10/5): An amazing place to stay - This is such a wonderful place to stay. Firstly, the family who run things here are brilliant, very friendly and efficient. The huts are absolutely beautiful - they are made of bamboo and are very outside inside. Everything was exceptionally clean. The beds are extremely comfortable and have a really good mosquito net - we slept with the doors and windows open at night. There is a hammock on the verandah - it's a really beautiful hammock, everything here feels very high end. The views are fabulous, we could see the sea from our verandah. Breakfast - we had the muesli, yoghurt and fruit - it was delicious and with copious amounts of coffee and juice. We really hope to come and stay again, one of our favourite places to stay.
