- Laurie (10/5): - What a gem!! So incredibly happy to have found this place and we were so lucky to have it all to ourselves for 2 evenings as well. We came in for the weekend to leave Monday although ended up staying another evening. The lake view is perfect, the cottage was divine and quite large for $. We enjoyed the kitchen as we at there most of the time since we were right on the water and again all alone, why leave. We met Chuck the owner, what a wonderful man. If you both have the time, sit for a chat he has some Fabulous stories. He is currently updating this fall the outside and some inside, going to look amazing. There are tons of activities as well, boats, PB, kayaks, just a wonderful place to enjoy and the Storks oh love those guys all day!!

- Mark (6/5): - The mattress in our room was worn out. I notified the owner, and he replaced it right away. It is a rustic getaway in beautiful pine country. Reminded me of the RoseBud Motel.
- Terry (6/5): - The amount of Lake front that was walkable was very limited and not a lot of good seating by the lake for the rooms that were not on the lake side.
- Lori (2/5): - Dirty, run down and no room for much of anything by the water. Sewer smell due to broken sewer pipes and human waste back up in yard. The owner was rude and does not care about the property.
- Cheryl (8/5): - the only thing I did not like was the no pets on grass. Dogs cannot read and really struggled when my poor dog waned to go potty to drag her away from grass area. I could see must clean up after your pet.
- Beth (10/5): DOGS are welcome CABINS ARE CUTE! - It was a wonderful little resort right on rainbow Lake that I enjoyed tremendously. I noticed after with beach accessand on site boat rentals. The unit was cute, comfortable and very clean. The staff was very nice and helpful and my unit had a complete kitchenette with supplies for up to four people to eat. The exterior had quaint little seating areas for everyone and barbecue grills to utilize if you wish I would definitely go back.

- Christine (10/5): Great location - The Rainbow's End Resort was a great home base for us while spending a long weekend in the Pinetop area. We didn't use the kitchen but it seemed well equipped. The cabin is older but comfortable and functional. We enjoyed the location on the lake and it was quick to get to Pinetop or Show Low.

- David (6/5): - Really liked being able to fish so close and that it was far enough away from main road to not hear that traffic. Didn't like the mattress as it was sunk in the middle and we would roll into each other. I felt that the host I interacted with was a little gruff and sort of off putting. Also, the room next to us was empty. They set the room up for incoming guests but the they don't check back and the tv was on all night.

He is easy to be reached and he has an associate that helps him out. We have never had a bad experience and recommend this place to everyone!

- Juanita (6/5): It worked for us. - This is the type of cabin where you get what you pay for. The cabin feels safe, but it is old and in disrepair. The faucet to the bathtub was falling off and chunks of the wall would come off when you turn it on. The shower always sprays when you are running bath water. Our cabin had plates, bowls, cups, silverware, salt/pepper, and some very old stove top pans. The kitchen appliances are RV size and work fine. The bedding and furniture had a lot of dog hair on them. My son is highly allergic to non-hypoallergenic dogs. So, he had a bad reaction. We come prepared for that with all pet-friendly locations. Our heater went out the second night. When I called the phone number, the property had it repaired within 20 minutes. The location is great. My family probably won't stay here again, but this would be a great place for men who want to "rough it" for a fishing trip but don't want to stay in a tent. Be sure to bring your own paper towels, trash bags, oven pans, foil, plastic wrap, ice, and cooking spray.
- Irene (10/5): - We had such a wonderful stay at Rainbow Lake. Thank you Steven for letting us keep the boat right there on the shoreline for easy access during our stay. The room was comfy but the pillows were super hard!! LOL. After we found the extra pillows we were OK. The common area was absolutely perfect! We met the neighbors and had a community fire in the pit on our last night. Thank you again and we will DEFINATELY be back to visit.
- CHRISTINA (10/5): - My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Everyone was friendly and hospitable. The location was beautiful and my husband had the great fortune of catching a northern pike while we were fishing out on the lake. We will definitely be going back!
- David (8/5): - We stayed here for the weekend as a respite from my husband’s cancer treatments and it was just what we needed. We loved being close to the lake and rented a few different types of boats. Stephen was friendly and very welcoming. The cabin we rented was tiny and we were thankful we are fairly small people. My son thought it was cool that we were staying in a “tiny house.” The kitchen, while small, had everything we needed to make our meals with. We hope to return and next time will upgrade a bit to a bigger cabin. We are grateful to have found this place especially with its cancellation policy since it’s hard to know how my husband will be feeling week to week.

- Corina (10/5): Get-a-way from Phx heat!! - First time staying here and it was nice! The property manager Stephen was super nice too! My slight negative comment is the bathroom. I get it's a small place to stay but the bathroom was super small, especially for us thick & tall peeps. My husband is a tall guy and struggled a little with the toilet & shower. Other than that, the stay was great!

- Al (8/5): - I stayed in the Pine room for two days with my wife and three teenagers. The room was clean and spacious. I can describe it as a two bedroon, two bathroom, mobile home. The property was super clean and well maintained. I would definitely stay there again.

- Verified traveler (2/5): - Rainbows end is located back behind houses off an alley way, looks rundown on the outside. The entire property is very compact. Only a few of the rooms are right off the water/lake, however cannot get to the lake cause there is a fence around it. The only part of the lake accessible from the property is off the boat docks.otherwise you have to either walk a distance or drive to get to the actual lake. The major problem is the rooms, they are connected with a conjoined door, therefore there is no privacy. You can hear everything going on in the next room. The parking here is not great ether, although it is on the property it is a significant ways away from rooms. The room we stayed in did not have any heat, The owner had stated he had turned off gas to all the rooms, however, the heat source in ours was as well broken. The refrigerator made grinding noises and was not in proper working order, it did not keep our items cold nor did the freezer, freeze the ice. The shower is very small even for a small stature person as myself of 4foot 9in and 135lns. There is a reason they don't show pictures of the rooms, because they are a studio apartments. Although there is a 10o'clocvk curfew on noise, the teenagers next to us were loud way past that time. We had decided very early into our stay that we would not be staying the additional night, the next morning we spoke with owner who eventually agreed to allow us to not be charge for the second night as we had already packed up.

- Richard (10/5): White Mountain Retreat - I spent 3 beautiful days & NIGHTS at Rainbow Lake Resort. Chuck was an excellent host & took care of all my needs as if we were brothers. When I arrived at 3pm He dropped everything and invited me in with open arms and even helped me unhook my boat & park it under a tree where it would be safe & out the way for other guests to park. I will definetly stay there again & recommend it to everyone I know. Great for families with children of all ages.

We rented two cabins and both were spotless and smelled good. There's grills and firepits for every cabin. Check in and out was the easiest we have ever had. We are already planning our next trip. We've stayed in alot of hotels over the years, this is the first i have ever cared to share about.

What I didn’t like the signs to point you in the direction of the resort did not have lights. We arrived in the evening and it took us a while to find a place! Very communicative and made sure we were happy with everything. We rented a pontoon boat on the property and spent the day on the lake fishing. Boats in great condition and easy to use even for a novice. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a rustic getaway
- N/A (4/5): - I liked that the lake was so close very convenient. However i didnt care to much for the owner/renter (chuck) I believe was his name. some times he was really pleasant and other times he is very snappy toward adults and children I feel its very unprofessional behavior.
- Margaret (10/5): Great place to stay!!! - When we first arrived, Carlos the manager greeted us. He gave us all of the information we needed. He told us he left the TV on and the heater on so we were all sure it worked. The room was nice and clean. We did cook dinner in our room and cookware and dishes were fine. If you want coffee you’ll need to provide that and sugar and creamer. Which we didn’t mind at all. The place was beautiful and so relaxing. Just what we needed!!! Thank you Carlos for being so hospitable. We will be back again for sure!!!
- April (10/5): Great Getaway - It was a great getaway. Peaceful and quiet. The room was cute and cozy. Our only complaint was the 30mph winds that prevented us from going out on the paddle boat as planned.

- Eric (10/5): My 3 year old calls it "The L ittle House" 🙂 - We stayed in the Cedar room. It's about the size of a hotel room, only it has a little kitchen. Perfect for a 3-5 day get away!!! Again, it's small, but perfect for our little family. The area is really nice, the lake was beautiful and the staff was great! Check in was so easy, you get your key from the box and go. We will definitely be back!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - VERY Rustic. Needs a bath mat as tile floor very cold. Also bath could use a shelf. Kitchen could use an update and can opener and cutting board. A larger TV screen would be nice. Nice fireplace stove and header. Our cabin had a nice lake view but not all cabins do. Management was friendly and cordial. Quiet property with lots of space.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - Being a single traveler, I was given a small dingy room. The sheets on the bed were stained and the blanket was dirty with other people's hair. I couldn't wait to leave in the morning.

- Shirley (10/5): Our Anniversary get away - It was exactly what we needed! We loved being by the lake and watching the wildlife. We had everything we needed in our cabin and the bed was SO comfortable! We will definitely stay here again! I think next time we will stay in a little bigger cabin though! The only suggestion I would make for this particular cabin is a couple extra hooks in the bathroom and maybe a little shelf that you could set things on to make it a little more "girl" friendly! :)

- Alison (10/5): - This was a great, relaxing location. We will return in the future. People were social, and it had the basic comforts. (We had the smallest room). The boat rentals were the perfect touch, plus we were able to cook, which helped save money. We highly recommend this place. It reminds me a lot of childhood in Wisconsin.

- Bob (10/5): This morning place is terrific! We love cabins! - First of all Chuck is wonderful. The cabin was clean and efficient. The bed was comfortable and the guests were great. They all liked the same things like ourselves. You have to like “Glamping”. This is not the Olympic Four Seasons. It’s a place to relax, unwind, and enjoy good neighbors who come back again and again. Book it early! We got lucky. We are going back again in the Fall. Bob and Tammy Ritter in Spruce 2.

- Charles (10/5): Highly Recommend! - The resort was very comfortable and clean. The other vacationers and the owner Chuck were wonderful. There are plenty of activities that kept our daughters occupied. We have stayed at other places and this has been by far the best. We will be back!
- robert (4/5): Unimpressed - The picture said more than the reality of being at the place it's by the lake yes but the apartments are super small the bath room reminded me of being on a navy ship super small like it was for midgets kitchen had nothing in it I was surprised that dish soap was provided other than that you had to buy all your condiment's just to cook a steak.

- Claude (8/5): - Small, very rustic cabins....the chain link fence between cabin and lake is a definite detraction from the property. The cabin was small, but adequate for 2 people. Rentals seem to be high-priced. I would think that if you are renting a cabin, you should get a break of the boat rental. The lake is great....if one has a boat. Claude
- Lisa (10/5): Rainbow love - My husband and I went to check this place out because he loves to fish. Chuck was a great host. Gave us prices to rent boats, canoe and water toys. He is Very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. He helped when we needed it but left us alone which is what we prefer.
