- Gustavo Enrique (1/5): Desagradable. - Cuando llegamos, el baño estaba sucio. Totalmente desagradable.

- Yuqiong (8/5): Very good - The staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel has a quite good location, within 15-minute walk to the gold museum. The room was right next to the main road and it was extremely loud. So much noise from the buses during the day, cars and motorbikes in the middle of the night. I could not sleep at all the whole night. I was having a Zoom call in the room and my colleagues asked me if I was outside because they could not hear me well.
- Marie (6/5): Convenient location but not a fan - The room wasn't like the photo on the site, it was old and the towels were very thin and old as well
- Scott (6/5): Nice.....But LOUD - Nice room., Good amenities, friendly staff. It's loud. There is a bus station across the street. So, from 6am-9pm, it is constant busses reviving their engines, busses queeling breaks. Difficult to sleep through and woke me up every single morning.
- Jessica (4/5): Very disappointing experience at a cute hotel. - The common spaces were nicely decorated and maintained and there was always coffee and infused water available in the lobby.
There was someone at the front desk 24/7 to let people in the front door which was nice and there was a rooftop patio (though the view isn't stellar) where you could have a quiet moment in the evenings..
The hotel has a Sauna and steam room available for an extra fee (40,000COP per person for two hours.) though they are both very rustic. The staff was nice enough to add pineapple tops and some herbs to the steam room for us so there was a nice aroma.
The beds are indeed very large and comfortable. I messaged Hotel Inter Bogota weeks in advance of my arrival requesting a second night. I was told that booking was updated for two nights and that the cost for the second night would be the same cost as my original booking.
Despite having this in writing on the app, the hotel was not interested in honoring their commitment. When we arrived we were told to check out the next morning and re check-in "if there had availability" for the second night (at a higher cost.) This waisted our time and on our one and only day in the city and caused unnecessary stress.
Additionally we booked a landmark view room and we certainly did not have one, unless you count a view of the neighboring apartment building and a parking lot a "landmark view." when we brought this up with the front desk we were told there were no landmark view rooms available.
This ended up not being an issue because our window opened directly onto our neighbors patio so we had to keep the blinds closed whenever we were in the room because people were often sitting on our windowsill always. It was awkward, there felt like there was no privacy.
Overall we just had a terrible experience with the room we got vs what booked.
- Monica (7/5): Good -
- Brendan (8/5): Very good -
- Reinier (8/5): I will come back - The room was big and had good beds. The staff was very helpfull and friendly. The breakfast was good. The location and the price are great. Close to the Transmilenio and the taxistands. Close to a busy shopping street. Internet was good! Not all the lights were working.
- José (10/5): just as described - just as described
- Natasha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rico (10/5): Good place, good location. - We arrive at 3 am and the main staff was alert to us. Furthermore we have a very safety impression for the neighborhood in contrast with previous warnings we was advised.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff was friendly and helpful. Wifi was a bit weak.
- Alfredo (10/5): Magnifico - Más que excelente, voy satisfecho del servicio y de mi visita en general a Bogotá
- Suzette (6/5): Great Staff & Location. - I have mixed reviews for this hotel. The staff is so friendly & kind, very much so! The location is perfect. We walked to everything we wanted to see. It’s an easy trip to/from the airport, public transportation is right there. Safe area. But the hotel property is very curious. It is 3 different buildings but made into 1. You can see from the outside where it’s different. The inside has 1 elevator but the stairs are very confusing. The photos online do not reflect all of the rooms. I discovered that is the front building which did not get to stay in. Our room was clean & again, the staff is amazing & hard working, but the room was in the older building for sure. I can recommend this hotel for sure but be sure to ask to see your room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Eu indico! - Hotel excelente. Boa equipe de funcionários.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Buen servicio - Buen servicio
- Verified traveler (8/5): 空港からの移動に便利 - トランスミレニオの終点Universidades駅の目の前です。
旧市街を観光するのに便利です。
朝食代が含まれていなかったが、5階のバーで安くて軽く食べられます。
- kezlopi (6/5): Great friendly staff - Staff are super friendly and helpful got in super early from australia way earlier than check in our room wasn't ready but they let us stay in another room until ours was. Lots of antiques and interesting art scattered around the halls. There is no sound proofing so noise was a bit of an issue and the bed was a bit saggy in the middle but overall your getting what you paid for i don't mean that in a negative way it was exactly what we expected for the price. Cheap and cheerful good for a short stay before we started our colombia adventure.
- V757LBedgarm (2/5): All Night street noise due to Main Bus station & dirty sheets - The hotel is very basic and we stayed here because is quite central to main attractions in Bogota city, so is cheap and backpack styled rooms. It doesn´t mean the room might be dirty, specially the sheets (hairs and you feel somebody slept there).
The city is colder than average in this place because is near of the montains, we have to sleep on the top of the blankets so it was a nightmare because Transmilenio Bus station is just in front of the hotel; no anti-noise windows so you will not be able to get some rest during all night and early morning due to the higher decibels noise coming from the station and from the people walking nearby of the hotel (83 dB average inside).
I really don´t recommend to stay in this hotel, no security on it and BTW the elevator is quite old.
- anamcara1127 (8/5): Great location and very lovely staff - We loved the location of this hotel. It was very convenient to Candelaria and a five minute walk from the teleferico to Monserrate. The staff was exceptionally friendly and we were warmly welcomed each time we entered the hotel. The manager met with us twice and helped us plan our day. Everyone there was so kind and helpful.
We were on the fourth floor (with elevator) and there was a large central lounge area and a small balcony near the room. We had a large comfortable bed, a couch, kitchenette, and a nice bathroom.
Upstairs there was a larger balcony overlooking the city and a restaurant. We enjoyed our brief stay at this hotel.
- BFeran (10/5): Cute Hotel with a lot of Character!!! - I had a great experience at the Hotel. The service was fantastic! I had no problem checking in or out, they help me with my bags to my room. The room was great, best bed I have slept on in South America. The room and bathroom were both very clean, something that is very important to me when travelling. The location of the hotel was perfect to walk to sights and restaurants. The hotel also has a restaurant that I ate at, it was great as well.
I really enjoyed the décor, and just sitting in the lobby or the various sitting areas throughout the hotel when I had down time. I spent a good amount of time walking floor by floor checking out the different paintings, fixtures and overall décor. The hotel has a lot of character, it reminded me of a Wes Anderson movie, which I love.
The hotel had a great feel and great staff. I will be back on my next trip to Bogota!
- Elenikatsa (10/5): We liked a lot and we will come back if we will be in Colombia - The hotel is very central so it is possible to reach all the places very easily.
It is very clean and I found the employers very gentle and help-full. One day I had got some problems with my computer because of the battery and they even gave me a computer to connect free with internet otherwise all the hotel is covered by free internet wireless .
One of the services that impressed me more is that there is even a sauna that you can take for free and the price of the hotel is cheep.
We had got even the chance to eat inside and in the morning we were taking a good breakfast with a fantastic original Colombian food called tamal.
I have rented a car and I could park for free in the private perking of the hotel even during a week that I spent in Cartagena.
During all my staying of ten days I felt like I was home because of the treatment of the employers.
Thats why I think that Inter Bogota it is an excellent hotel.
- Giobeza (8/5): Central with friendly owners - We stayed there in Jenuary for two weeks, but it wasn't our first stay. Of course It can be defined as an Hotel for Colombians because its forniture is very typical and confortable, even people who work there, are very wellcoming and friendly. They are always ready to give you clues, where to find the best places to visit and the best way to reach them.
The first time I went there It was in 2008 I stayed for 2 months and It wasn't expensive, they left me a special price since I made a special honey moon. I found it so confortable and near the historical and typical parts of the city (Monserrate, Candelaria and so on) that I decided to go back there this year. Besides, the owner family is delicious ready to help you even during the night.
It was lovely to stay there and if i go back to Colombia I will go back to Hotel Inter Bogotà
- Mjsandim (2/5): WORST STAY EVER! - WORST STAY EVER!
We have travelled to Bogotá several times for business purposes and we knew Hotel Inter Bogotá since over 5 years ago because of our Colombians closest friends/colleagues. During those stays at the hotel we didn't have any problem but our last stay was just horrible.
We reached the hotel approximately Thursday 21st, 11PM and the they haven't our reservation details as previously processed so we had to wait longer than expected also there was a drunk man at the lobby with a typical Aguadiente bottle insulting one of us with no reason also the receptionist was a bit scared because of that male which by the way was not a guest, we realize the next morning he is just a person living in front of the building renting a parking lot spot and comes some nights to make problems at the front desk.
After that we were up and down looking for rooms because they wanted to install us in a really bad place we almost entered to every single room of the hotel, they placed us in a room with 3 beds at the 6th floor apparently there was a Peruvian Group arriving on Sunday so we definitely have to move out the next day because the room was already booked and clean for them, anyway we move the next morning to a different room at the 2nd floor with NO hot water at the shower we presented our claims up to 7 times with no positive reply. Bogotá is +9000 feet over the sea level so taking a shower with cold water is not really nice at all. Lately we get a biiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttt of hot water so we took our showers like Spiderman, against the wall. For a night we went out and when we wanted to take our usual ''Spiderman shower'' we notice that hot water didn't work once again so we called the lobby and amazingly were told to wait 15 minutes because the hitter was OFF! Why they turn OFF the water hitter at night? Is that a normal practice in hotel???
Then we had problems with the Wireless Internet (WIFI), for over 3 days since we got there didn't have Internet access, for a minute I thought it was our computers and our mobile phones (Smart Phones) as well but no, they had several issues with their local network it is incredible to believe that the hotel next to them have stronger wireless signal than Hotel Inter Bogotá!!!
We lost meetings, contacts and some other important details we planned for our recent trip and that was unacceptable for us because of the miss Internet Access, we claimed over and over again and the only answer we got is ''The technician says everything is working'' but it was NOT true, our computers still have no internet access at all and so our mobiles too. On Sunday night we didn't have internet access still and the some Peruvians were at the lobby with their laptops asking questions like Why is that? Is that common? We have no Internet? So, I definitely realize it was not our computers it was their bad network!
Besides we check out at 4AM because we had to fly Monday early morning and we have problems again because the receptionist was not instructed how to use the Hyper so, it was 4.30AM and the Credit Card didn't went through and not because there was no money in the bank account it was because they have no idea how to use it, she called a lady in a room upstairs which apparently lives at the hotel because she got at the front desk with her pyjamas and the same problems with the Hyper so we pay cash after because it was already 4.40AM and we could miss our flight!
Finally we pay cash but they wanted to use a different currency exchange 1500 pesos per dollar and the official was 1830 pesos per dollar, we know this is a normal hotel practice but considering all the problems we had it is really a shame. Room prices are really high comparing to better places near by. Upon airport arrival we get charge for more because he waited for us 20 minutes outside the hotel.
Honestly Hotel Inter Bogotá is not on our favourites hotels list anymore and not in our plans in the nearest future to the magnificent city of BOGOTA!
- SEMAROPE (10/5): Great family owned Hotel at the heart of Bogota - Greetings from Grand Prairie, Texas
We really enjoyed our stay at this Hotel right from the start. The owners and staff were always available in case of any questions concerning the city.
For us was the location was exceptional. The proximity to the main city tourist attractions such as Museo del Oro, Monserrate, Planetario, Plaza de Bolivar and others, was just a great convenience. Good restaurants were within walking distance on 19th St. As in any big city we were always aware of the surroundings. Is best and safer if you use ATMs at the shopping malls north of Bogota.
As a whole we were pleasantly surprised of this old Greetings from Grand Prairie, Texas
- Trail802832 (6/5): Hotel mainly for Colombians, but owners are great - Stayed at Inter Bogota from 9/27 to 10/7 of 2008. The hotel was booked by my wife's family and she is native born Colombian. The first room we received was small, which for Colombians is a decent size. The lower level rooms are also similar to Hotel 8 and will not impress gringos.
Since my wife's entire family came up with us when we went to the room, I let the room stand that night. The next day, before leaving for whatever we were doing, I asked my wife for something larger and we went to the front desk. The desk called the owner and we were shown an upper level room, which was similar in size, but was significantly better in decor etc (essentially an upgrade). I just asked for something bigger and was shown one of the larger rooms, which was large in size with similar decor to the upgraded smaller room. The size was good, a bit bigger then the average US hotel room, and the increase in price wasn't bad at all.
The hotel owners, a married couple, one of which is Italian speak respectable English and we met them multiple times during out stay. Towards the end, we become friends, since we always stopped at the bar etc and met with them often. The staff and owners are extremely nice and gave us tips on things to do, and even handed us their personal tour books to hold for our stay there. If anything, the staff are excellent and amazingly helpful.......a decent amount of Spanish should be known though since English is limited.
Rooms are well taken care of and clean, but beds are a bit hard by American standards. The hotel is older, so there are some repairs needed, but none of it bothered me once I moved to an upper floor room. The reality is that if you stay in Bogota, stay in a real Bogota hotel, the worldwide chains are extremely overpriced and you get the standard hotel setup.....so you miss the overall experience.
We only ordered dinner once, but had breakfast several times. Food is not the top reason to come to this hotel. There is an excellent breakfast place right around the corner.....and I was impressed with the food there. Restaurants are a short cab ride, or walk during the day (Bogota in general isn't the best place to walk at night....you just never know).
The hotel is centrally located and you can walk to Monsarate and the Presidential Palace. The area immediately around the hotel is not a tourist location, so make sure you know what you want to be close to before booking......Bogota is huge.
Total cost was 50-60 per day in the upgraded room....and was a good deal. We had a wonderful stay......and would go back to meet the owners again.....who may be coming to NY in the coming months.
When booking make sure to mention you are a tourist......the owners know to treat a tourist to a different standard.
