- Xt (10/5): If you’re in happo, stay here. - The owners were very accommodating and welcoming, and even sent us to happo bus station after checkout. The location is only 7min walk from happo bus station where you can travel to nagano or the other ski resorts. There’s tons of amazing food nearby including their own soba shop downstairs, which we had for dinner on Tuesday and Friday. Room was big and comfortable, had everything you’d need. Nothing much. The heater was a little warm but nothing to be complained about in winter. The curtains do let quite a lot of light in which can wake you up, and the rooms are not completely soundproofed, you’d be able to hear the neighbours. Not an issue if they’re considerate!
- Tyson (10/5): Our stay was enjoyable & comfortable! Would recommend to other travellers! Thank you for having us - Very close to Happo mountain and close to the bus stop for other mountains. Within reasonable walking distance of restaurants and convenience stores. The staff were very accomodating, helpful and friendly!
- Nathan (10/5): Great location in Hakuba - Spotlessly clean, amazing location and value for money. The couple who run it, and the soba noodle shop underneath, are some of the kindest and most helpful people. The beds were firm but comfortable. Everything was great.
- Ben (10/5): 10/10 would stay again. - 10/10 staff and service. The accomodation is lovely, warm and clean. Our room was larger than expected and even had a view of happo one, which we did not expect! The bus terminal to catch shuttles to other resorts is around 500m walk away and super easy to get around Hakuba. Super close to lawsons too for many quick snacks. Superb value for money! This accom does not offer shuttles to resorts like some other places do, but for the price this place is amazing.
- Codie (9/5): Overall, great experience and good value for money - Was convenient to the bus terminal and local shops. The room was cozy and clean. Breakfast was a good continental variety. Staff were very hospitable and exceptionally helpful. Even offered a lift to the train station on our last day. Beds were slightly too firm for my liking, however, plenty of extra blankets and pillows.

- Paul (8/5): Semi-traditional style warm guesthouse with a friendly family. - Soba restaurant downstairs, powerful washing machine, cosy & warm room Wifi was weak/patchy
- Olivia (9/5): Beautiful location and play to stay! - We really enjoyed our stay here! In walking distance to cafes and shuttle bus stop! Very convenient. The couple who run the place and restaurant are beautiful humans! They go above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Thank you !❤️

- Austin (10/5): A lovely, clean lodge that was a pleasure to return to at the end of each day. - The lodge was very clean. Very good proximity to local amenities. The couple who run Nagomi-tei are absolutely lovely. Friendly, courteous and helpful, they couldn’t do enough to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
- Nina (10/5): Exceptional - Very cosy place - spacious rooms + comfy beds with lots of places to hang clothes to dry after a day of skiing. Within walking distance of echoland and Happo village for food and drinks in the evening and easy to get to different resorts via Happo bus station.
The owners were so lovely and even gave us a lift to the station when we left!

The room was big, well equipped and spotless clean.
The breakfast was varied, big and tasty, perfectly to set you off for a day of snowboarding or skiing.
Their Soba restaurant is a gem. It was very good!!!
The location is really good, out of the crowded tourist area but still a 5 min walking distance to the shuttle and Ecoland..
It was an amazing stay, thank you!!!! Nothing, evening was perfect!
- Michael (10/5): Excellent value. Thank you! - Excellent value. We had a great stay. Thank you!
- Daniel (9/5): We had a lovely stay and felt very blessed by the lovely owners/staff who always smile - Very spacious room, amazingly lovely staff, great value breakfast, location, drying room for ski gear, and much more.
- Ava (10/5): 10/10! Great value for money and perfect location. - Amazing place to stay, we stayed for 6 nights and were able to walk to happo chair lifts, happo bus terminal to get to other mountains and also able to walk into echo land for dinners. Staff were amazing and extremely accommodating. Rooms were extremely clean and large, plenty of space to hang washing etc.
- Nicola (10/5): Incredible location, amazing staff and food! - The location is fantastic. We were lucky to get some great snowfall whilst there. The staff are so incredible, the food is delicious so I would recommend booking for a soba dinner while there. Really great value for the area. The only thing that might bother some is how hard the beds are. We have found it is very common in Japan to have very hard beds, so some people probably love this. For us it was a little bit uncomfortable, but honestly all of the benefits of our stay far outweigh this one negative.
- Jianing (10/5): Exceptional - The owners were very kind and hospitable. We had gotten stuck in the snow and they came immediately to help us out of the snow and get it moving again. They also ensured that the snow was cleared every morning before we left so we would have an easy time leaving and returning to the property.
The property is also located close to Happo and Echoland with plenty of food options. We had the pleasure of having the soba noodles at Nagomi-tei one of the lunch days and it was really delicious! On some mornings we were also lucky to see the owner preparing and chopping fresh soba noodles to be used for the day :) Nothing, everything was amazing!
- Brendan (10/5): Fantastic accommodation. Great value for money. Exceptional Hosts. Can’t wait to book again in 2025. - The accommodation is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. The room was pretty spacious with good storage & hanging space for wet gear. The room also has a private bathroom which was a bonus. Awesome mountain views.
There is also a washing machine and microwave on the ground floor for guest use + a drying shed out back for your boots and boards/skis.
Good location with a 5 min walk to Happo / 15 mins to Echoland. There’s also a good local onsen a few minutes’ walk away.
There is a cosy little restaurant on the ground floor which serves a good hot breaky daily for only ¥1,300. The restaurant is also open Tuesday & Friday for dinner serving fantastic homemade soba dishes + awesome buckwheat ice-cream crepe dessert.
The owners/hosts, Fumiko and Susumu were fantastic - really friendly, welcoming and super helpful which made our stay there all the more enjoyable. We also really appreciated their help arranging an extra night’s accommodation on a very busy weekend at such short notice, so we could squeeze in one last pow day. Can’t thank you enough!
- Ricardo (10/5): Amazing views, lots of fun, great experience. - The owners were very welcoming and helpful.
The accomodation was really nice and clean, our room had amazing view of the mountains and the bedroom was comfy.
When we missed our bus the owner were kind enough to give us a ride.
Just a great experience overall, I'd definitely book it again when visiting Hakuba.
- Philip (10/5): Incredible value for money, lovely owners - Whilst not in a town center it was only a short walk to both Happo and Echoland. It was no problem walking in ski boots to the bus stop every day. The owners were lovely, everything was spotless and well maintained.
- Dylan (10/5): Love to stay here again, clean comfortable and convenient - Love everything here. Owners are very friendly and helpful. The whole place and room are spotless clean. Great facility and very close to the main bus terminal. None
- Pauline (10/5): Perfect quite and private place for a couple during a snowboard trip. - I have no words to describe this place, will definitely come back.
It’s a family business, so it’s very well maintained, clean and private. Door closes every night at midnight.
The ground floor is a restaurant, opened only during couple days of the week. The hosts provide a laundry facility and a microwave for guest use.
The property and the vibe there are amazing, the is food delicious, the soba is a must try. Breakfast is served if booked in advance. The owners are super lovely, very friendly and helpful. They were always around the restaurant.
The 4 rooms are located on the second floor with a very decent size and well equiped with a tiny tv, drawers and hangers, one coffee table, two chairs and a mini fridge. The mattress is not very soft, but it’s exactly what you need after spending the day on the slopes.
There is a gear storage attached to the house, were you can store your boards and boots.
The place is 5 minutes walking from the main station were you can take any shuttle or travel bus. There is a convenience store and several restaurants in a short walk distance.
- Matt (9/5): Great Budget Friendly Accommodation - Spacious and comfortable rooms for 2.
Great location - close to Nakiyama lifts, bus stop, Happo Village for food, Lawsons.
Yummy breakfast and strong, punchy coffee.
Very good Soba dinner set that comes with a must try unique buckwheat crepe dessert. Soba dinner is only available 2 nights a week but is very delicious!
- Ray (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexander (8/5): Very good -
- Josie (10/5): Noodle shop home away from home - The view from our bedroom window faced the ski hill, with fireworks on first night! Big open bedroom space for 3 people, able to control temperature in room. Cozy beds and blankets. Private dining experience in soba restaurant. Super close walk to either Happo town or Echoland for food. Owner always rushing out to clear the snow with his digger for an easy path to the ski shed! Kind friendly owners, always checked in morning and night to see how the snow was and how our day was going. We loved our one week stay here, make sure to watch the process of soba noodle making, it’s an art. Thank you for a wonderful week! Ski shed heater turned off overnight, boots often a bit cold in morning.
- William (10/5): Exceptional - The hosts were exceptionally friendly, genuine and welcoming. They made our stay feel like a home away from home. They were more than happy to help with any questions before arrival and during our stay. The homemade soba was delicious - a must have during the stay! Great location; easy walk to Happo and easy to get the bus to other ski resorts. Would definitely return!
- Kristie (10/5): Perfect stay at an affordable proce - The owners were so kind and helpful. They helped me bring my suitcases to the bus station even though it was a short walk. They were very friendly. I purchased breakfast for 1300 yen and it was delicious. The facilities were great. Laundry was provided and the beds were comfortable.
- Mia (10/5): Best value you’ll find in all hakuba - Best value accommodation I’ve found in all Japan ski resorts. We got a spacious room with private bathroom and toilet! There was enough wardrobe space to unpack our large suitcases and hang up our ski gear + a mini dining table with cups, kettle and fridge so you could make a mini meal if you didn’t want to eat out that night! Happo bus terminal (the main bus terminal) was only 5min walk away - which made catching the bus to ski at a different ski resort for the day super easy! Happo-one village was also only 5min walk as well as a convenience store and plenty of restaurants, bars and onsens! Echoland was also only 15min walk away. We will be staying here on our next trip.
- Clarence (8/5): Very good -
- Gu (10/5): Cozy good value with everything you need - The property was clean and had everything we needed. The location was great - close to bus stations, convenient stores and restaurants. The host is a couple and we like how homey the place felt. We also had breakfasts and dinners at the restaurant downstairs, which were great.

- Edwin (9/5): 4 days snowboarding in Hakuba - Host/owners are exceptionally helpful and friendly! They made me feel at home whenever I come back to rest from my snowboarding runs. I had their tempura soba on my last night and it was delicious! Location wise it's actually very near Happo central( close to Lawson and onsen). Oh you also have your personal bathroom in mini desk for you to chill in your room which is a pleasant surprise! Heater is a little noisy but that is normal for heaters I guess.
