- D (10/5): Great place to stay in Umluj - Great hotel found at last minute due to a change of travel plans. We stayed in the panoramic apartment which was a lovely, huge space with a separate sitting area and two bedrooms. Two minor issues: 1. The bedroom window latch and seals were broken, therefore, being right next to the sea the wind was whistling through at night. 2. The bathroom is very small and a wet room including a toilet. It’s almost impossible not to soak the entire room, including toilet roll when showing, minor, but notable. As a top-tip, note that breakfast does not include coffee, which I accidentally found out when ordering and being charged for it! Although only around 25 SAR for 2.
- Kroglund (10/5): A nice surprise! - Nice and very clean and quiet medium class hotel. Neighborhood a little bit scruffy but there’s a small grocer across the street, a small park with a “soft “runway and one of Yanbus best humble fish”restaurants” a few minutes walk South (name: Abu Hamza). Rosalina staff is kind and welcoming and with a little bit of English and ditto Arabic, you’ll get a long way! We stayed 3 nights.

I have stayed in Saudi hotels before but this was fantastic and was position A for our needs. Amazing shower room, iron and ironing board, tea and coffee facilities and a hairdryer. Planning to visit in a day or so again, this is my favourite hotel in Yanbu!
