- John (8/5): Convenient espacially if accessing downtown is important! - The staff was excellent - they were already expecting me, though I was checking it late at night. The breakfast was good value for money. In addition, if you know your way around, it is very convenient. The automated control of the fan and lights in the bathroom was annoying and should be replaced with standard switches.

- Nduwumwami (4/5): Do not stay at Nairobi CBD area - De GYM Het hotel is gelegen in drukke slechte buurt. Geen enkele taxi kan tot daar bereiken. Er zijn 24/7 constructiewerken aan de gang waardoor slapen niet lukt.

- Lyle (3/5): They over charged me two meals and refused to reverse the credits and informed that I needed to eat and they would deduc - No No hot water construction working all night and no cable and they never repaired it and refused to reduce the price of the bill.

The room phone has no direction on which numbers to dial if you need help. The room was inclusive of breakfast, but one bothered to check on the guest. On our checkout, we tried talking to the receptionist, but she was just on the phone and didn't bother to talk to us. So we just left. The staff need to improve on customer service

The noise made by the guards while openning the garage door during night didn't allow me to sleep. Didn't enjoy to be bited by mosquitos and only one free bottled water in the room is never enough. The pillows and the sheet seemed to be more old then my grandma. The place itself is quite old but you got what you pay for... So, what is cheap is not always good...

- Jensen (2/5): Construction made it impossible to sleep. - We stayed here two different times during our time in Kenya. The first was when we first arrived in Nairobi. It was just ok. The room was poorly lit, the bed was hard, and there was no hot water for the shower, but it was somewhere to sleep while we staged our trip farther North for some self-drive safaris in the parks in Kenya. We thought we knew to expect the same things when we returned to Nairobi, but it was far worse for the second stay. There was loud hammering and construction noise when we first arrived, but we were told it would stop "in about ten minutes" when we first were let into the room. It did stop, for a while, but then started back up. Horrible, loud, pounding and crashing sounds coming from right above the room that lasted until far too late in the evening. It lasted until maybe 9 or 10pm, and only stopped after we made several calls to the desk, as well as walking down to the desk to ask that the noise stop so we could sleep. The noise stopped, but only until about 4am, when it started right back up and kept us awake the rest of the night. We decided to cancel the rest of our booking here, and book another hotel and demand that we be refunded for the stay since we were there to sleep, and were kept from doing that by the awful sounds coming from right above our room. So far we have not been repaid for any part of our stay. The experience as a whole was pretty unpleasant. Hopefully those staying here in the future will not have the experience we did.

- John (8/5): Close to downtown. - I arrived and had a problem with the reservations but the lady said go ahead and get some rest and we will solve the problem later. We solved the problem the next day with travelocity customer service and all was well. The staff were all very friendly and helpful with constant smiles on their faces when they greeted me. The room was kept clean. Not the best area of town so when the sun set I stayed in the room until the next day. I never had any problems but I would recommend some caution in that area of the city when going out of the hotel. When you do leave it is very easy to get a taxi or an Uber. It was a pleasant stay with a very friendly staff.
- Joshua (8/5): City Center Hotel Experience. - Just be prepared to want to really stay in the city center. This hotel is right in the heart of the city center.
