Guest Reviews
- Gerry (10/5): - We really liked the location since we were in walking distance to the lock. The extra little table area in the room was handy as well as the screened in area and the picnic table and chairs outside.
- Rhonda (10/5): Quiet and Beautiful - We stay every year for the last 5 years. We love the family feel of the place. The front desk and restaurant employees are very helpful. This is a very clean accommodation.
- Jacob (10/5): - Nice spot. Good spot on the lake with excellent staff. I stayed in one of the smaller motels, they have a barbeque but nothing else really for meals so . Had a nice relaxing holiday.
- Jim (8/5): - The main problem was in checking in on the third floor with no elevator. Tough going up the stairs. Also the room had no table to set p a laptop.
- SALMAN (4/5): - The staff was unavailable throughout the time we stayed there. Most of the time, there was no one at the reception. It didn’t feel like a hotel or inn at all—other options would have been a much better value for the money.
- jaculine (10/5): - Great rooms large bathroom deck off room. The only thing was the bed was not very comfortable. Everything else was just what we needed.
- Catherine (8/5): - We stayed here as a central location to kayak during the day. It wasn't busy. Rooms are big and clean. Not alot of restaurants around! And those that are in the area all close by 8pm. There is a dining room and grill on site but the grill is only open for breakfast and the dining room closes at 8pm. The food was very good! The service was a bit slow. All friendly except one lady who was a hostess maybe? She worked the dining area. There isnt trailer parking spots either but we were lucky to get a spot both nights by the small store beside the hotel. The falls were gorgeous of course and fun to kayak near. Internet sucks! The wifi speed was close to dial up. Nice big outside deck area though with lights, couches, bbq and propane fire pit.
- Helen (10/5): - Lovely quiet place to stay with the Lakeview. Great restaurant with excellent food. A lovely place to stay in the Kawartha area
- Lynda (10/5): - Was great
- Karen (10/5): - Pleasant place to stay
- Roslyn (10/5): - Liked the dinette and screened in porch. Almost like being at the cottage. Very quaint. Great water pressure in the shower. Comfy beds. Very nice stay.
- Miranda (10/5): Cute and Clean - Food was amazing, it was quiet and tranquil.
Our room hadn't yet been reno'd but the rest looked great!
The toilet paper was a bit thin...

- Stacey (8/5): Had it's pros and cons. - This is truly a lovely Inn. It's warm and inviting, the rooms are large and the property is beautiful to explore. We didn't see many staff members due to covid restrictions but they corresponded well through email and it certainly felt like they would be easy to reach ad accommodating had we had any issues arise. The Inn is a little dated. There were several areas where the walls were scuffed/damaged and though it was charming, it had a dated feel to it. The bed was not particularly comfortable and I was not happy that it was the end of October and 0 degrees outside but they hadn't turned the fireplaces on yet, which was certainly a disappointment given that it was a main selling feature of the room. Overall, we enjoyed our stay ad would likely go back again.
- Scarlett (8/5): A little disturbing - Just a little disturbed that someone was in the room - closet doors wide open and I'd never touched the closet during my stay. Information noted that no one would be in the room and towel service was at the door, if you requested it. I did not request it!
- michelle (4/5): - Did not like the narrow hall tonoir room. Did not like that our patio overlooked the parki g area and road, made it noisy.
The staff was curteous and friendly..
- Lyndy Banwell (10/5): - Nice place to stay in a quaint little location.
- Garry (10/5): - We had a great view of the dam and water flow from our balcony, room 208.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location on the waterfront beside the rapids and boat launch for canoes and kayaks
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very nice Inn - modern yet rustic. Good location for areas we wanted to visit.
The AC was in fahrenheit and didn't seem to read the temperature in the room accurately.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good location
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Stayed for the weekend on 2nd floor and had access to big shared terrace & bbq. Free kayaks to get out and see the falls. Super staff - front desk, marina and especially Debbie our server. Great food. Would bring a boat next time.
- tom (8/5): - beautiful location, one of the best falls.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Felt very comfortable, especially with the measures taken on response to COVID-19. Any assistance was easy to get.
- Jeffrey (8/5): first time -- enjoyable 2 day stay - Quite nice room. Spacious on second floor.
Boat launch is only complaint --- in n need of repair.
- John&Trish (10/5): - Location, friendly staff, excellent food, gorgeous view , lots to offer , and again staff made us feel very special
- Verified traveler (4/5): - We wont be back. You will understand what we mean once you are done your stay there.
- Eleanor (8/5): - Right on the lake. Bar b que’s outside fridge and microwave in room. Beautiful property with little path in trees by lake with picnic tables. Burleigh Falls is so beautiful.
- Sharon (10/5): A great place to stay with Family - We enjoyed our short stay the place was fantastic and clean and the staff friendly and very helpful. We look forward to coming back!
- Sasha (10/5): - Great place, the stuff is very friendly and helpful, the cottage was clean and cozy. We've enjoyed our stay there.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - What makes this property unique is where it is situated - can’t beat the landscape - rocks, water and, in the fall, fabulous colours. The entrance way to the Inn was decorated for the season. Once inside, there is lots of charm which one would expect from the vintage of this Inn. The beds are very comfy and there is a certain charm with each room, but there is room for some updating particularly in the bathrooms. My bathroom floor had a number of stains which probably can’t be cleaned. Also found some serious cobwebs on the light by the bed!! Just needs some TLC to keep its rating where it should be,
- Ted (6/5): - Bedding definitely needs renewing .... tired looking and feeling ! Nice location but pricing is too high for what we got in a room
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Fantastic! Stayed in the motel room. Great screened in porch. Nice views. Cozy space with comfy pillows.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The surroundings, the clear air, and the scenery all are what I like. Beds are comfortable unlike other motels. If anything to improve, please check wall plugs (suite #8) because I noted half of them did not have power.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Gorgeous area! - Amazingly beautiful location! So many options for fun here. They rent sea doos and canoes. We were very pleased to be able to launch our Waverunner, which we had brought with us and then for a small fee keep it at one of the docks on the property. It is definitely a place we hope to return to!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is a perfect place to relax or play. Stunning surroundings, great fishing and swimming. We can’t wait to go back.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I found that for the price I paid for a two day stay was way too much. At least a continental breakfast should be included. The pool was nice but there was really nothing else around the area of the inn. We had to drive at least 15 to 20 minutes for breakfast. My husband booked this inn, i would not of.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent dock and boat facilities cottages were very comfortable
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice place to come for a visit. Beautiful location
- HB (4/5): - Let me start with the good things. The location of the inn is great, right next to the lake. The reception desk was nice and friendly. The guys at the bait store were very helpful. But the facilities and condition of the cottage (one of the two we stayed in) were really poor, desperately need renovation. It stank so much that every time I entered it I had to hold my breath. The curtains and windows cannot open and close properly, bugs were everywhere.
Also, the front desk lady when we checked in first told us they cleaned up one cottage which had not been used for a while, so that we could have two cottages next to each other ( that’s very considerate of them). But when I checked out and told the other front desk lady about the smell, she made it sound like it has always been occupied by guests and I was the only one who raised this issue.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff at check in were amazing. The rooms were spacious. The restaurant was overpriced for the quality of food
- Lorraine (8/5): - I liked the encloaed porch on the back of the room. There was a bbq provided for each room. A small market was right next door. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Bar selection sucks, toilet paper is 1 ply, they ran out of steaks even though it's on the menu on a Saturday night when it was full. The kitchen and bar both close at 8pm. Other then that everything else was great.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I liked the comfortable bed and the view from our window. It was a lovely area and had a good resturant.
- Stephen (10/5): - What a terrific place.
Quite a treat to listen to falls as you drift off.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The on-site restaurant was very good. Staff were very friendly.
- M&M (8/5): - Burleigh Inn staff were pleasant and welcoming upon our arrival. They provided us with details and activities available during our stay. It was a nice peaceful getaway from the city. We would book again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Fantastic inn, clean & comfortable . Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly reception staff.
- Michelle (10/5): - Clean large room. The front desk was very helpful and courteous.
- Brian (8/5): One Night October Stay - Our stay at the Burleigh Falls Inn was a good experience. The personal touch service was evident. We checked in late and there was a personal note and key left for us. The scenery in the morning was a nice surprise. We would definitely return when the weather is good and use the pool and the nearby water for some fun.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A very nice quiet place to stay, located right on the rivers edge you can walk along the water and around the cottages. The restaurant attached to the Inn is the best, our meals were made from scratch and was one of the best meals we had on our trip. Overall a great place to stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We had a great stay. Very cozy. Beautiful scenery. The staff were fantastic.
We ate at the Grill and the food was amazing.
- elizabeth (8/5): Acceptable - The experience was lovely.
It was comfortable and homey.
Would like to stay sometime in the summer.
- Karen (10/5): - Went to view fall colours and fishing trip, stayed in motel unit perfect for our trip, the ability to fish two lakes and a beautiful tour up to the Petroglyphs amazing dinners at the Inn.
- Twin (10/5): - Wonderful inn ever!!!
Very nice place~~
