- oscarhD9867SX (2/5): Don't stay here unless you have no other choice, including a campsite. - I was traveling and had no choice but to stay at this motel. It cost 188 dollars a night. There were only 2 rooms available this particular night. I was under the impression that Holiday Inn was an upscale motel. I was surprised to find the trash can in my room was full of beer cans and the bathroom sink had makeup remains on it. Like I said this was the only choice I had and there were no more rooms available. I called my wife and told her where I was staying and she told me they have one of the best breakfasts availible. The coffee was the worst I have had since I was in the military and the breakfast was inedible. I don't know how powdered scrambled eggs can be slimy but these were. The cereal was stale and there were no other decent options. I have had better breakfasts at motels that were far cheaper. I do not know how they can justify charging nearly 200 dollars a night and not provide better service than this.

The room looked okay until doing the room walk through and attempting to use appliances and wifi. There was a huge stain on the bed I'm praying wasn't bodily fluid. Some of the lights in the room would not turn on. There was dust in various places. We could not get the wifi to work. Staff would not be at the front desk. We called about the issue and was told there was nothing to do or no number to call. Took hours to get ahold of cleaning. Definitely was not worth the money.

Big bathroom with fan, lighted mirror, Soaps, shampoo, conditioner, blow dryer, plastic hair nets, makeup remover all provided . Small Coffee service setup is in the room but hotel provide 4 types of hot coffee in lobby 24/7. Breakfast offers sausage, bacon, a. eggs, waffles, boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, dry cereal, biscuits & gravy and more. Pretty big spread and nicely presented. Lots of dining room space for small or big groups. Barbecue grill out on the deck, with outdoor seating and tables- nice to grill your own steaks! Front desk shift supervisor Stephanie was a huge help, lined us up with a ride with the local “Uber, Sherry Jones. who took us to the airport in Witchita after we got in a car accident and wrecked our rental car just a few minutes after we left the hotel parking lot. She charged only $50.00 for the ride. What a lifesaver she was- we made our flight back to Alaska with time to spare when we got to the airport This hotel and their helpful, friendly staff make this our go-to hotel when we’re in Chanute. We loved it!

- lighthouselovertoo (10/5): Descent breakfast & room. A little pricy for a small town - We had a good stay. The Holiday Inn Express is new since the last time we stayed in Chanute. There really weren't any good options in the past. There was a reasonably good motel breakfast. My only complaint was they assigned us an accessible room without asking and it wasn't quite as comfortable. I would definitely stay hear again.

- Anna (10/5): My go-to for southeast Kansas! - A newer hotel & overall outstanding experience. Room was very clean, comfy bed. Service was great & breakfast tasty. Fitness room was best I've seen in a long time: rowing machine, 2 ellipticals, treadmills, etc., & nothing broken (a rarity for hotel fitness rooms!). Very convenient to highway. Liked the little market with healthy frozen meals as there's not many dining options in Chanute.

Almost acted like I was disturbing him. Idk ? But I a tub for easy accessibility that I realized I didn't get right off the bat, Was to tired to deal with a room change. The room has a bad motor and the sheets were all wrinkled, bathroom sink clogged as well as the bathtub, standing in a foot of water after my shower. Gross.

Dining area was a mess with trash cans full and overflowing on to floor. Went back down at 930 am to eat and all food was gone. Room still a mess as though no one was paying attention.

Our room was nice with comfortable beds, keurig coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator. One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. I didn’t use their patio, but it had a gas fire pit and gas bbq grill. I saw people really enjoying this space. I was so pleased with our stay.

- Lila (8/5): - Beautiful room, friendly staff. Great accommodations. We booked a two night stay. On the second day when we returned to the room late that night we found housekeeping had not been in. Bed not made. We had been given on small soap the first day so no more soap and tissues had only had like two in it the first day. On check out I reported it to the desk. I was told since Covid they only service rooms every five days. I’m like WHAT. That’s a crazy excuse for housekeeping when being charged full Price for the room.

- Linda (8/5): A good hotel. - I've stayed here several times, it is clean, convenient & friendly. Only down side is it was built for tall people! I Can't reach the shower head (a good 12" beyond my reach) & I can see it has massage adjustments but not reachable. (I'm 5' 3" tall). The microwave is so high I could barely reach it -would be dangerous if you tipped something over & onto yourself. Otherwise I like the hotel & would stay there again if I'm in the area.
- Stacey (10/5): - This property is such a great addition to Chanute! We stayed here for 4 nights and it took on a sense of home. The breakfast was fantastic! The hallways were clean, the rooms were clean, and the public areas were clean! Hard to find those qualities anymore. My only suggestion is that the front desk staff be trained a little better on socializing and friendliness with guests. They were definitely zoned out and lacked greeting skills as you walked by or entered the building. We didn’t stay here for the front desk clerk so that is why I gave the best review possible! Thanks for having us!!!!
