• Mary (8/5): Great place to stay if you are beach lovers. - We loved that the beach was just across the street and we really appreciated the restaurant and bar right on the property which was the biggest selling point for us. Could have had more room in the bathroom and maybe a few shelves for our toiletries but other than that it was what we expected.

• Cheryl (7/5): Would definitely stay there again. Hope they work on the upgrades. - The staff was amazingly helpful. They made changes for us to accommodate us. The music was great. My 82 year old mother got to go on the dance floor and boogie. The music was loud but in the rooms you could barely hear it. The walk to the beach was easy once you got across the main road. Not being able to park close to the room. My mother’s sink didn’t work in her room. In my room it took forever to get hot water in the shower. Then it would go in and out. There was also a broken beer bottle on the walk way which no one ever cleaned up while we were there. I also had a hard time getting ahold of anyone there prior to coming. I did figure out why, because there isn’t anyone there until later in the day.

• James (8/5): We will probably stay here again, on the south side. - We stayed 1 night in room 11, a queen deluxe and 2 nights in room 6, the king room that has a kitchen. The property is nice, plenty of parking in the back and really nice people. There is an easy walkway to the beach. The restaurant looked good and has great reviews but we didn't get to try it. Probably will next time. This is not a complaint, just info: There are bands that play on the weekends till 8:30 or 9:00pm and everyone had a good time in the restaurant, listening to old rock and roll, which is always fun. But if you need to rest before that, choose a room on the south side of the hotel. Room 6 is 15' from the band. The south side, where room 11 is, was quiet. If we had the time we would have joined the fun, but we were working really early in the morning and had to rest.
• William A (8/5): The room provided was very clean, with fresh linens, and the handicapped parking is very good. - The room, with its bathroom, was renovated nicely. The walk-in shower, and its tile and grout surfaces, were especially attractive and were obviously redone to insure that after shower use soap and water spots were easily cleaned by the housekeeping crew. The furnished towels are of good quality, and a nice array of towels were provided by hotel staff. All of the linens and bedding sheets had a pleasant clean smell and appearance as if those items were freshly laundered the day of arrival. The shower faucet handle was very difficult to turn on and off in the room that we had as motel guests . As noted by other guests the hot water is slow to arrive at the shower head. One had to be.patient to take a shower with adequate hot water. The mattress on the bed was adequate for sleeping but would not win any awards as an extra-ordinary hotel bed mattress.

Ingesamt gibt es 4 Netzwerke, ein jedes mit anderem Passwort und kein einziges funktioniert so richtig. Das Hotel ist daher für Remote Worker de facto ungeeignet.

Property needs upkeep. Parking an issue. Band night when we arrived - room not quite ready. Staff completely overwhelmed - said not ready for crowds after booking popular band . We booked for three nights -left after first.

• Cindy (10/5): Cute nice little place - Easy check in, good value for the money, it had everything we needed for one nights stay. The bed was comfortable. The decor could use some updating, but we are only there to sleep so it was fine. If you like a dark room, bring an eye mask. The window in the hallway has a blind but the outdoor lights are so bright and stay on all night.

• Olivia (4/5): Picked wrong motel to stay at. - Location Room were old. Furniture damaged and countertops badly stained. Loud A/C system. Bed uncomfortable! And the light that comes through window at night doesn’t allow you to sleep! Need blackout curtains!!

She enjoys what she does and she is good at it. The crowd and music dissappated at 8:15, bummer. She checked in at the bar with me. She's a southern girl, two names. lol Had a morning beach walk, after a safe, restful sleep. It was a fun little excursion and I picked you, will pass on the great find. My fish was opaque and had an odor.

Not a bad place for $150 a night but the toilet didn’t flush right, uncomfortable bed, floor was sticky from cleaning solution or something but it was clean at the least, didn’t realize the Surf restaurant played live music at the restaurant after 9pm. My fault for not researching more. I’m sure staff would have moved us to another room if we had asked. We just went home instead.

• Robert (5/5): Below average but clean and up to date. - The room was clean and well appointed. It was up to date. Hot water was a crap shoot, maybe, maybe not. Took 5-7 minutes to make it to the room and then didn't last but about 8 minutes. The lights on the front of the building absolutely lit up the inside of the room and the blinds gave no relief.

• Lydia (8/5): Always a pleasant time! - The location is what sells me every time, not to mention the restaurant food is super good. Easily the nicest staff at any business on Amelia I’ve encountered. The beach is a short walk across the street and there’s plenty of parking. This was our second stay and we’ll be back for a third! The shower in the double room we stayed in had a hand held shower head which was partially broken- it kept falling out of the mount. This was the only real issue we experienced. Other than that the room just really needed some cosmetic work, it wasn’t as nice as the Queen room we stayed in previously but still doable.

Spent the evening watching football at the bar. Food and service was fantastic and everyone enjoyed their drinks! • Aimee (4/5): Open air restaurant with motel attached. - Great location across the street from beach. No beach views. Open air restaurant literally 10-15 steps from room. Potentially LOUD in the summer but super quiet here in winter (stayed right after xmas). Great food at restaurant but will be exceptionally busy in summer months. Odor from restaurant (fried seafood) was right in your face all the time as the open air restaurant is in front of hotel rooms. Had a hard time finding staff to check in and waitress was not very helpful in locating him. Had to ask three times and she didnt let us know what was happening. Just gave us sour looks - didnt make us feel this was right. Office looks like a messy office and not a reception area for checking in. Weird vibes with that. Room needs repainting and bathroom is tiny. Definitely has older beach motel vibes but was quiet and comfy with an office area, fridge, microwave, and small couch. Nice to have this area separate.

• Brandi (10/5): Great location and room - Our room was perfect for our family. Plenty of space for all of us, convenient to the beach, restaurant right out the door. It was perfect Would have loved a real coffee maker haha
• Kelly (8/5): Perfect Location - Location and friendly staff We have stayed here 4 times now and love it. I do think, though, that it has gone down a little bit recently. There was a coffee maker in the room, but no cream or cups. Also, there were 3 remotes but we couldn't get any to work. The sweet young lady from the office worked on the tv for quite a while and did get it to work, however in the morning, nothing worked again! Also, the one bed was very uncomfortable and sloped badly! These things wouldn't stop us from staying again though!

The front office was junky and dirty. The room was old and not maintained. It’s a motel, not a hotel. It’s one story, so the band in the restaurant was extremely loud! The room was covered in flying biting gnats, that they call sand fleas.

• Ivy Lynn (10/5): - Friendly staff, delightful on site bar and restaurant. Our room was newly redone. No carpet! All across the street from the Atlantic Ocean with an easy beach access. Great place with a great price!
