- Mireille (9/5): -
- Martin (9/5): Quirky establishment but an enjoyable stay. - Excellent breakfast! Small bedroom.
- steve (10/5): - Beautiful old winery. The host Sylvie was wonderful and accommodating. A very memorable stay.
- Ellen (10/5): - Beautiful property with friendly and accomodating staff. Quiet and comfortable large room. Loved it.
Insgesamt absolut empfehlenswert. An manchen Stellen etwas in die Jahre gekommen, könnte etwas Renovierung vertragen.
Iedere dag juist hetzelfde ontbijt. Geen afwisseling.
- Nick (9/5): - This excellent B&B is well positioned for exploring the Loire - with ever friendly hosts, super comfortable rooms, a large pool and wonderful grounds

- Mills (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tatiana (3/5): Poor - Beautiful building. Friendly hostess. everything is very old, terrible smell, very old carpet on the floor, air conditioning did not work
- John (10/5): I usually choose an hotel rather than a B&B. I am rapidly converting from one to the other. - Excellent Continental breakfast. I can't think of anything I didn't like!
- JILL (10/5): - We enjoyed this beautiful 18th century chateaus with comfortable spacious bedroom and gorgous view.
The hostess greeted us with an aftenoon tea and deliscious breakfast.
- Nigham (7/5): Great and lovely place , but breakfast very ordinary. - The location and the property was lovely. Sylvia the host was quite friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very ordinary , only cold and sweet things , my husband being diabetic could hardly eat anything from the choice given . Some , cereal ,warm eggs or toasted bread would have been good .
- Angela (10/5): Exceptional -
Posto no ne affittabile ne vivibile !!! No ne ne vivibile !
- Steven (10/5): - Lovely peaceful and friendly. Beautiful chateaux with great pool
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - I'm a few words, everything. The location, the grounds, the house, and we loved our room. N/A
- Alexandra (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (8/5): Everything was very nice - Very nice location, difficult to get to by bike, but worth it
- Josephine (10/5): We are so happy we have discovered this wonderful place to stay and it will definitely be our go to place whenever we ar - Absolutely beautiful property with a wonderful heated pool and a lovely park with a lake. Delightful breakfast.and a charming welcome. Nothing
- Stuart (10/5): Serenity and sophistication in amongst the Vouvray vineyards - Beautiful building in a stunning location No restaurants nearby, and the ones in the village are not open very often meaning good drive to get to anywhere
- Gary (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (10/5): - It was very peaceful and quiet and a lovely setting, overlooking the Loire Valley. The room was spacious and clean. A couple of lamps were broken.
- luke (10/5): - Our family including two teens absolutely loved this property even though the wifi didn’t quite extend to our room (if you have teens you know that says a lot!). Beautiful grounds, charming building with common sitting area complete with pool table (and wifi), and a sunroom for optional light continental breakfast if desired (10€ each). We loved the outdoor pool, great scenery and location in the countryside convenient for visiting chateaus and trying local wines. Friendly owners/staff and locals, plenty of free parking on site. Highly recommend staying here. We were in La Rocheliere apartment which is dug into the hillside. The apartment is charming and spacious with a fireplace, large washroom, two rooms with three beds, one master and one double/twin seating/kitchen combined. There is a small fridge and kitchen sink/cooking nook with hot plate, microwave and I think toaster oven (we didn’t cook). There is also a private patio outside this room with an eating and lounging area. When we didn’t eat out in town we bought wine and pre-made food from the local grocery store in Vouvray and enjoyed on the patio. The only unfortunate thing was that the mattress in the master bedroom was saggy and uncomfortable but the twin and double mattress in the other room were decent. Pillows were also strangely square and flat. Such a magical place it’s a shame to not have a comfortable sleep, an upgrade to the mattress and pillows would make this place our favourite in France and Italy.
- Bartosz (9/5): Great place, great owner - There is vibe, charm, character and history around this place
Entrance with fragrant plants
Charismatic, hospitable owner/manager
Pool and views are 10/10 Corridors/elevator are neither modern nor historic, they're fusty.
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Molly (9/5): Very beautiful, quiet, relaxing setting. Lovely grounds. Polite staff. Recommended. - Breakfast was very nice, served in a lovely sunroom. Jam, croissants, coffee/tea/hot chocolate, assorted fruits, yogurts, etc
- Suzanne (5/5): It was an uncomfortable sleep in a beautiful vista which requires self-reliance. - The breakfast was delicious. The coffee was excellent. The terrain was beautiful from a distance. The pool table was a nice diversion after a long day. The access to the kitchen was appreciated. There was plenty of property to explore. The smell of new paint was mildly offensive and ever-present, however, the painter was quite friendly. Some amenities were only made accessible after we took the initiative to ask or find them ourselves. There were dead frogs in the pool that we had to skim out along with an abundance of leaves with the skimmer we found by the pool. Thank God. The pathways and gardens were neglected and somewhat hazardous. There was clear evidence that they were once quite beautiful, but the natural beauty did shine through. The beds......well, what can I say. The doubled bed had pillows that looked really good but were quite uncomfortable. The small bed was inadequate at best. It had a rubber mat to ensure one's urine did not damage the mattress. It was lumpy and like sleeping on a stack of hay covered in a vinyl tablecloth. Definitely not appropriate for an adult. Overall the facility is in a general state of disrepair with wire exposed at outlets, a hole in the tub patched with duct tape, and a leaking radiator in the bathroom. I believe there is a chance the the state of disarray may have been due to back-to-back weddings which over-burdened the staff. Lovely staff.
- Wolf-klein (10/5): Exceptional - a beautiful peaceful place in the campagne
- Oliver (3/5): Delightful exterior and Chateau, sadly everything else ruined our stay. - Location and chateau were stunning. False advertising of beds,( had to buy an additional room for my son.)
air con being switched off by a master switch by owner’s son by 10.30 pm. When questioned I was told that it wasn’t allowed at night!! ( when else are you using a bedroom while on holiday? ) I booked it specifically because they advertise 2 double beds and air conditioning.
The towels in bathrooms were thread bare, tiny and had been washed to the point they were hard and well past acceptable. Both our toilet seats were broken, my son’s shower head was disgusting and clogged up. There was a hole in a cheap plastic bath with duct tape over it in my room. There were damp stains around the window. Lumpy pillows. (Lucky we brought our own.)
Very arrogant man ( owner’s son , I believe. ) only interested in taking more money for an additional room instead of trying to help solve the problem.
Arguing, that the room wasn’t advertised with a double bed and a large double bed. Unfortunately for him, I have the evidence of this from their page on booking.com. I attach a photo. What should have been an enjoyable experience was ruined by the owner especially. I can’t comment on breakfast as we left as soon as we woke and didn’t want to stay a second longer.
Since then the owners have ignored emails from the booking advisor asking to explain what went wrong.
I would not recommend at all except for the exterior which is Devine.
- Rajan (10/5): - Beautiful property and location. Rooms were spacious and clean and the staff were helpful and knowledgeable.
- Stephen (8/5): - The property is amazing.
Beautiful pool
The breakfast is basic if you decide to take it at 10 euros
We had some trouble with the air conditioning and were moved straight away.
Overall our stay was very good.
- Yael (10/5): A great value for you money - this place is a gem. the pool size is luxurious. hosts are friendly and all one needs to be. the only challenge: that it gets more and more visitors. we have been there now 3 seasons in a row, and each time it is great.
- Carolyne (10/5): I recommanded - Great location. An old building with comfort. Susan was very nice.
Breakfast was made of local food and the jams were so good.
You must try at local restaurant a glass of Vouvray.
- Joe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samuel (9/5): Silvia was welcoming, helpful and the hotel beat our expectations. Would definitely recommend! - Amazing location and facilites, the swimming pool was quiet and picturesque.
- Martin (9/5): Superb -
- christian (10/5): - Le lieu est somptueux
- Lawrence (10/5): - Beautiful well run place
- Wesley (10/5): - Our family of four stayed at this property for several nights in April 2022 and had an amazing experience. The property is centrally located in the Loire Valley, which facilitated visiting chateaus in and around Amboise and Tours along with several wineries. The hosts were amazing and recommended several wineries to visit along with dining options in Amboise. The rooms are very clean and refreshed daily, and breakfast is superb. The property grounds are stunning and worth exploring!
- Rebecca (10/5): - Absolutely wonderful stay. Helene was great and took good care of our family upon checkin and during breakfast. Beautiful property with a 5 star feel. Wish we could stay longer!
- Alain (10/5): Could have stayed longer - Very nice grounds .. our apartment was nice and cozy and felt very private.
Friendly staff
- Suzanne (10/5): - Very nice hotel staff friendly and good welcome
- Laurie (10/5): - Parfait
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great, historic property in Vouvray. A great experience to stay at this property. Owners are first class.
- Marieke (10/5): Fantastische overnachting - Prachtige overnachting. Super vriendelijk personeel.
- Anna Mia (10/5): Fantastiskt - Fantastiskt! Otroligt vackert ställe och trevlig personal.
- thu (10/5): - Amazing!!! Loved the place. Beautiful from every direction. We arrived extra late and were still greeted with a late night smile.
- Geraldo (10/5): - A propriedade é linda!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property was beautiful and a lot of fun. Everything was really nice. We enjoyed it immensely, and we would happily return.

- Atsuko (10/5): Amazing French countryside experience - It was an amazing stay. The place is absolutely beautiful. The cottage we stayed in was very private and quiet with everything we needed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We loved this hotel. The pool was beautiful and very welcome as it was very hot when we stayed. Madame Susanne was a wonderful and generous host.
- Alison (10/5): - Beautiful chateau in the Loire valley. Highly recommend!
- Patrice (10/5): The best hotel and service - This place is amazing and the service is excellent. We felt like we were the royal family ;)
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely! - Beautiful home, grounds, pool, and breakfast. Wish we had a longer stay.
- Lori (8/5): Difficult to find - arrive before dark. - We stayed here while touring chateaux in the Loire Valley. The hotel is extremely difficult to find. We arrived after dark and it took us almost an hour to find it and several phone calls (international) to the owner to help us. So, try to arrive before dark and it will be a little easier. Also, be sure and eat and have gas in your car, because we didn't see any services nearby in Vouvray. It is about 1/2 hour outside of Amboise in the country and used to be a winery. The owner Sylvie is very nice and accommodating.
- Jean Guy (10/5): On y retournera...
On y retournera,
Merci
JGM

- Jose (10/5): - Beautiful property. Very nice host and staff. We loved it all
- Ricardo (10/5): Great chateau in the french countryside - Domaine des Bidaudières is a great place to stay in the Loire Valley. The building itself is gorgeous and it has a great view. It’s near Amboise and Tours so its location is superb for a few days exploring the Loire Valley
