• Inger (8/5): For annen gang hos Millers i Frigiliana. - Opplevelsen var helt annerledes nå enn for tre år siden. Nå foregikk all kontakt med mailer før ankomst, og vi traff en ansatt først da vi sjekket ut, og det ble veldig lite personlig. Vi setter stor pris på lokalkunnskap. Hotellet er koselig, men beliggenheten i gate som er stengt store deler av dagen og ingen parkeringsplass i nærheten, gjør at det passer best med lett bagasje. Småbutikker i Frigiliana og Nerja har et bedre og «nyere» utvalg varer tilpasset skandinaver enn ellers i området rundt, og flere gode restauranter.
• aja (8/5): - At 1st, the room looks amazingly charming. Afterwards, my wife noticed the room was not as clean as it first appeared. The bathtub, shower curtain, and the corners of the room were dirty and sometimes displayed mold. She noticed old spider webs in the side table area, which told us that they only performed surface cleaning. In addition, the owner was extremely rude to her new worker in front of my wife during breakfast, which made her extremely uncomfortable. It's a shame bc the property is extremely charming, especially for the nightly rate. With that said, the owners' (not from Spain) rude treatment of her new worker (from Poland) was unacceptable for us-especially in today's current climate in our society.

• Antony (6/5): - This is a really property but the rooms vary considerably, last time we had a nice room this time the room was much smaller, no windows, glass door which naturally you need to close the curtains when inside, the shower was not clean, otherwise ok.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent stay - Beautiful apartment/room! The owner is English and the decor definitely felt that way. Our space was very spacious. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Location was great and accessible by car. Excellent stay- would recommend it to everyone.

Friendly face to face morning meetings. Would stay here again for a base in the area. Surrounding village positive and friendly.

• Joanne (10/5): Very welcoming abd an ideal spot - Tanya was very helpful and welcoming and hotel is in an ideal spot and our accommodation was very comfortable, all be it in need of some upgrade now, this is still a lovely hotel.
• Mark (6/5): - Was so looking forward to staying here for 2 nights after seeing the mostly good reviews…. Hotel is in a beautiful location which cannot be faulted. Parked in the car park but saw plenty of parking on the roadside so no need to spend €10. Firstly no one to greet us, the maid/cleaner answered the door (2pm in the afternoon). Given a room that wasn’t ready, then she swapped us to another room that looked out onto the street which was nice. I felt The Room was small which is ok but it had far too much furniture in which made it feel smaller. Only Half a toilet roll in the bathroom on check in, however this was filled up the next day. Shampoo & shower gel dispensers on the wall are a great idea but only if they have something in! glad I brought my own. There were stairs to the en-suite which was a bit of a nightmare getting to the toilet in the night. First use of the shower flooded the entire bathroom (shower head wouldn’t stay still). Lovely views from the terrace on the roof but all looked a bit tired and unkempt. The property had a communal kitchen for all to use, (I’m not a fan) and the sink in the kitchen was full of ornaments soaking in water, not really the best impression for guests. Was also expecting to be able to order breakfast but only complimentary coffee & mini croissants available. We were hoping for a nice boutique hotel after looking at the pics. Would go back to frigiliana but would stop somewhere else next time.

• Robert (4/5): Hopeless! - I rarely write reviews, good or bad, but in this case I felt I should. It's a tired hotel in good location, but we had a very disappointing experience. No-one to greet us on arrival, & we had to get past lots of people having a birthday party to get to our room. There was no information in the room apart from some suggested walks, & apparently none in the reception area (we were later told by another guest that there was a book in reception, but that it was underneath a pile of dirty dishes from the birthday party). There was a Juliet balcony, but the window box there had 5 stubbed out cigarettes in it. The hot tub on the roof terrace was out of action. The 2 biggest issues were no breakfast available (even though I saw an advert saying breakfast could be ordered), & no parking (even though the listing claims parking is available). Indeed, that was the reason we booked. Parking was in the village and was a nightmare. If Millers are claiming parking, then all establishments should (but they don't because they are more honest). Millers also offer massages and wellness sessions, & I get the impression they are more interested in that than the guesthouse. The following night we stayed in Nerja, & for approximately the same price we found a clean establishment with very helpful staff, a fully functioning small pool, and a delightful breakfast. If the owners of Millers don't know they are underperforming, then they are in the wrong business.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Worn out charming hotel in the center - The location is perfect, the hotel is charming but downside is the absence of breakfast; no parking at all (not near the hotel either), needed to drive around to find a parking in the village; the hotel is quite worn out; the doors are not insulated at all so we could hear the other guests in the lobby from our room; the roof terrace is the only place where smoking is allowed (not on the balcony/patio); sometimes there was barely warm water in the shower. The host is very helpful and welcoming.
• N R (10/5): A treasure in Frigiliana - Miller’s is a unique experience in the heart of Frigiliana old town. Tanya manages to create a wonderful home from home experience, comfy sofas in front of the log burner. Can’t wait to come back.

Thank you to Millers for making us feel so welcome at your incredible property and for all the hints and tips re: local attractions, places to visit, travel options, etc. We had a wonderful, exciting, relaxing, fun time and I’m sure we will be back.
• Marie (10/5): Unikt boende i en fantastisk by - Bra och lugnt läge. Trivsam miljö och mycket god service. Det som är något missvisande i beskrivningen är om parkering. Lätt att tolka som att det finns gratis parkering i anslutning till hotellet, men parkeringen är en bit längre ner på gatan och väldigt få platser. Är det fullt där, hänvisas till parkeringsgaraget där man kan parkera mot en kostnad.

There is a rooftop terrace that has sweeping views below, a sitting area that is covered and the perfect place to bring a book. There is also a shared courtyard and plenty of indoor seating complete with honor bar! Breakfast is available, however I left early the next morning. I would love to stay here again.

The hotel was cozy and full of charm. There is free parking down the street (but we were there during the off season in February) Highly recommend staying here.

• Kevin (10/5): Home from home - Lovely place, very cosy, like a home away from home. Very central and convenient to walk everywhere - Frigiliana is quite small but hilly. Very friendly and efficient service from Tanya and Sonia. Nice choice for breakfast and very reasonable at €6.50 per person. The honesty bar is a nice facility to have and, seeing as most places were closed by the time we had finished dinner, it was great to be able to come back and have a beer and a glass of wine - and those prices are very reasonable too. The roof terrace is also lovely and we really enjoyed being able to have a bottle of cava in the jacuzzi for an hour - before it started raining :-( Tanya also arranged a taxi to Cómpeta for us with the lovely Antonio which was much appreciated. We only stayed for one night but nothing was too much trouble and we would thoroughly recommend a stay here :-)

Beautiful fresh continental breakfast each morning. Loved the honesty bar what a great idea. Tanya is a wonderful host so welcoming and full of information. Our room was lovely, positioned at the front of the building. Traffic noise could be heard early morning but it didn't spoil anything for us. There is a small honesty bar and the kitchen fridge was stocked with soft drinks and mixers which was a great bonus. Loved it :-)

Notice the time limitation of car accessibility to the hotel, or it would be difficult to carry in and out the luggage because its on a hill! Simple but tasty breakfast! Great stay in Frigilliana!
• Cris (10/5): Amazing place to stay - Amazing home. We were greeted with a warm welcome. The home is beautiful. Didn't use parking provided but nice option to have. Breakfast was nice and you self serve from all the wonderful choices provided. Wish we could have stayed longer to try the Jacuzzi on the roof but maybe another time. If you park on the main street be prepared to walk up up up. There is a street in front of the hotel (narrow) and its only open a specific time so make sure you ask before you arrive.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - As soon as we arrived at Miller’s Tanya made us feel welcome. She had booked parking for us and her instructions on getting there were clear and precise. As we were travelling with a teenager having separate bedrooms was appreciated by all. We enjoyed a G&T from her honesty bar on the upstairs patio. During our stay Tanya lent us beach towels so we could enjoy the beaches in Nerja. We will definitely stay here again in future 😎
• Heather (10/5): - Fantastic as always. Great host, luxurious rooms and special little touches all set in the most beautiful village.
• Robbin (2/5): - We stayed at the hotel as a layover. It's a hotel for large tour groups and airline crew, so probably why the service is so horrendous. For a supposedly 4 star hotel, the amenities are minimal. You get the shower gel from a shared container simar to 2 star hotels. The reservation staff, when asked if there's water to drink at the lobby, said I can use the tap water from the faucet in my room, but he had just checked us out of the room. The airport shuttle is supposed to run every 15 minutes, but it will skip your turn if there's a crew headed to airport and we had to wait 30 minutes. The food isn't good and expensive. Pasta is 30 CHF and burger is over 40 CHF. Overall. Horrible expense experience. Will complain to hotel chain.
• Jan (10/5): Frigiliana stay - Fab hotel in heart of Frigiliana. Tanya is a brilliant hostess, very welcoming and helpful. Her hotel is delightful. Beautiful rooms, fab roof terrace and superb position. We will return!
• Drew (10/5): - We had a wonderful (though short) stay at Millers of Frigiliana. We received a warm reception when we arrived and were given a cute room with a private bathroom near the entrance. The room had plenty of space, and the bathroom was modern and nice. The shared roof deck was a nice surprise. The town is adorable, and Millers' location is perfect to explore.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Fabulous boutique hotel - We stayed with another couple for three nights. Tanya the owner welcomed us and introduced us to the workings of the hotel. It is very personal and trusting. Fabulous self serve breakfast . Honesty bar for drinks throughout the day and evening. Very comfortable. Hot tub and furniture on the roof terrace. Definitely stay again. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped.

• Joan (6/5): - Disappointing. My parents live in Frigiliana and my stay was a birthday treat at the flagship first boutique hotel in the village. You couldn't swing a cat in the bedroom and the hugh luxury shower which took up most of the room was hit and miss turning cold and then hot intermittently. The most disappointing thing which set us off on the wrong foot was the receptionist asking for payment within two minutes of entering the building before even showing us our room.I won't be recommending the place Hotel Villa Frigiliana is much better.
