Guest Reviews
- Mike (2/5): - Dangerous
- Olivia (2/5): I will not be back. - This hotel is not a place to stay. I think there's a new owner. Hopefully changes will happen. Costumers are shady and a little scary.
- Akmal (8/5): - Good
- Angelina (10/5): - I think the best part about my stay was the friendliness of the staff, everyone I spoke to was so happy, even when I first checked in the two lady’s behind the counter were so cheerful, will more than likely be staying here again!
- Arianna (4/5): - Power outage
- Akmal (8/5): - Good
- Michael (2/5): - This was hands down the worst property Ive ever been to. There were drug using people all around and on the property. The office staff was sitting on a chair half way in/out of the office smoking a cigarette. I didn't even check in. I drove off and found something else and took the loss of whatever the room fee was. Nope....not for me!!!
- John (8/5): - Quiet, convenient, proximity to event, excellent price!
- Keisha (10/5): You can't go wrong staying here! - Staying at the OYO hotel in Alexandria, Louisiana is affordable, clean, safe, and convenient. As a frequent traveler for work, it's always a pleasure staying in a familiar environment with people whom are familiar with you. Great staff & management is willing to resolve any issues you may have. You really feel like family here.
- John (8/5): - The hotel was conveniently located so that I could travel to and from the convention site by main streets. (No complicated directions across town.) The price was nice too!
- Kaila (10/5): - Stay was great and service was awesome will be returning soon
- Keisha (10/5): Frequent Flyer at the Oyo - Friendly staff. Everyone is always pleasant & respectful. Rooms are tidy and clean. Great for short-stay if you travel frequently for work.
- raymond (6/5): - Wi-fi didn't work. No coffee available. Needed more room lighting.
- Marilyn (8/5): Suited our needs for the night. - The room itself was nice. The bathroom had broken wall in the shower area. Shower pressure was good.
- Crystal (10/5): - It was very clean
- Alex (4/5): Bring a sleeping bag - Booked the hotel online after seeing the pictures. Pictures are from a long time ago before the pool was ½ drained and frogs took over. We got thwre past 11 and just wanted a bed and shower. Outside was dirty and the room was non refundable so we ventured in. At first the room looked decent until we pulled the sheets, either thwy weren't changed or just stained. The stains matched the fitted sheet and top sheet... slept with clothes on
It was cheap, hindsight sleeping in the var would have been better
- Madison (2/5): - This place was terrible, never again
- Tim (2/5): - Room smelled and was dirty
- Raymond (4/5): - I booked this hotel because of the pool. When I got here the pool is full of mud water, trash, and mosquitoes. The lampshades, window sills and bathroom floor is all filthy. The staff was friendly.
- Alicia (2/5): - Roaches, dirty sheets, drugs, drunks being loud in the parking lot with loud music, rude guy receptionist, “non-smoking” room smelled like drugs. Very unsanitary and unsafe environment. I would like my money back.
- Keisha (10/5): My work home away from home stay - The rooms are very spacious & clean. Well kept like a studio apartment. It sets off a cozy & warm vibe. You can relax & unwind after a stressful work day. The staff & people are friendly. I feel welcomed everytime I stay here. This has become a preference for me.
- Sabrina (4/5): - The property is not SAFE and does not have decent rooms. Staff was kinda helpful, but I was unaware what/where I booked. Traveling for work so my goal was to look for close in proximity to my contract. I would not suggest this establishment unless there's no other option!!!
- Marlaina (4/5): Not clean like the pictures. - My husband and son stayed here a couple nights. He said the pool was nasty and there was someone’s toe nail in the window sill with dust covered over it so it had not been cleaned in a long time. It was comfortable enough to sleep in but would not recommend for important visits.
- Kevin (2/5): - First off, lady at the front desk was so polite & welcoming!! But the room was so disgusting, bed was dirty, towels was dirty, microwave was dirty, & bathroom was. My 3 year old & I did not approve what so ever.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Ugggh - Too much money for a ran down piece of a hotel. The first thing the front desk lady said was I hope I don't have to shoot some one tonight. I almost turned around but I was tired. Housekeeping just opened the door on me while I was getting dressed. They had a shopping cart saying housekeeping. Bad experience period. Pay the few extra dollars for a better place and service.
- Jeremy (6/5): - Staff friendly. Facility just old.
- Sunshine (8/5): - It was a 1 night stay for business last minute. It was a good hotel for the money. Just needed a place to sleep and it was good for that.
- Alton (2/5): - Crack motel.... didn't even stay turned around.... terrible looking place
- Kelli (8/5): humm. - Lets just say, you get what you pay for.
- Patrick (10/5): - Great
- Samuel (6/5): Rough experience - There were notes all over the windows about various things. One that caught my eye was no animals. It did say service animals were acceptable with documentation. After the owner was contacted and I told him that the documentation I have has diagnosis for why they are service animals but that he could have the lawyers information to verify they are service animals he just said no problem and let us stay. After we got into the room there were bugs in the bath tub and mold on the bathroom window. There was ants on the bathroom sink and after I cleaned because I travel with cleaning supplies it was ok. I had a person knock on my door at 9 am while getting ready to leave. She asked if we were ready to check out. It was a very rough experience altogether. I wish I had taken pictures but just wanted to leave.
- Isaac (2/5): - There was no shower curtain and only one plug worked in the whole room
- Skyler (10/5): - Front desk service was awesome great attitude and friendly
- Kyler (8/5): - Very comfortable bed!
- Karla (6/5): Adequate - The room was okay. I got the value of the low price I paid.
- Joshua (4/5): Get What You Pay For - It’s what you pay for. I was afraid my mustang would be broken into, but the manager said they’d watch it, and no issues the next morning.
There was noise all night. Lights and AC work sometimes, no WiFi, no trash can, etc.
For $50 it’s a place to crash and leave no doubt.
- Janice (6/5): Definitely no frills - No Wi-Fi was offered by the desk, but I wasn't planning on using it that night, so I didn't check for its availability in the room. There was no coffee maker, even though it was listed as an amenity. The bathroom window lock was broken, and someone had jammed a wooden coast hanger in to secure it.
- Richard (2/5): - Arrived at 10pm and no one was on duty to check in. You are not allowed in the lobby to check in. You must wait out side and check in through a glass window most likely for employees safety. Waited one hour to check in. Once checked in I drove to my room but never went in the room because we feared for our safety. The gentleman working was very nice and helpful, but not a safe place to stay.
- Gary (2/5): - There was trash floating in the out of service swimming pool, and the arch at the entrance was caving in.
- Brian (4/5): At least it was a bed - I should've known when i booked it, what to expect, but simpky needed a place to lay my head for two nights in between housing changes.
Nice office staff, i must say that. But the room smelledlile pee and a neighboring room had heacy bass music on all night even after i complained. The first night was real bad, second night i complained early and that must made a difference because it was better.
Then the prostitution trade was pretty busy that night, but only a few arguments between prostitutes and their pimps could be heard.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Bad place - I have stayed here over a month, They come to your door when you ask them not too, People be playing music and fighting outside all times of the night The first night here a couple was up fighting all night next to me. Check out time is at 11 and they would come to my door at 10:10 and ask me if I’m going to pay or check out.. And sometimes I work over night..
- Gregory (6/5): NO WAY - The room was a good size...cleanish...NO INTERNET AND NO HELP FROM STAFF TO FIX. WOULD NOT OFFER DISCOUNT FOR HORRIBLE SERVICE.
- Lee (8/5): Not too bad - Not a bad place but a little noisy late on a Thursday night.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Disgusting, dirty rooms and beds. Horrible place
- Danna (8/5): - Staff friendly rooms clean valyw for money good the only negative is some of the other guest
- Bobby (4/5): - Never again. Needs lots of pressure washing to remove dirt. 25 minute check with reservation.
- Lovonda (8/5): - Price & convenience.
- larry (8/5): - The staff was friendly. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. I thought the walls were a little thin. You could hear the conversations in the parking lot and outside the front door. We happened to be there when some people were kind of noisy were there and we heard everything until about midnight. Nothing that happened while we were there could be held against the hotel. It was a good value, comfortable lodging. We just chose the wrong night to be there.
- Michael (10/5): - Great value for a quiet night of rest.
- Julio (8/5): - Do not clean the rooms daily
- Sarah (6/5): - No coffee
- David (2/5): - The room was disgusting. There was a French fry and toilet paper on the floor in the bathroom, the sheets had visible stains, the bathroom window was broken and held with a flimsy board. There were gnats flying around in the room. The property seemed to invite a certain type of guest playing loud music, and hanging out in the parking lot. The walls and ceiling were so thin, everything going on outside the room could be heard.
- James (4/5): - Sketchy people on and around property. Saw drug dealing on the property. Very disappointed
- Brittan (10/5): Best hotel I stay in. - It’s was great. Front deck was nice. the room was very clean. Had everything we needed. Thank you. Will come back soon.
- Kent (2/5): - They robbed me. I canceled my reservation the week prior and they still charged me and refused to refund my money.
- Stephanie (4/5): No tell motel - This place will serve its purpose if u meed chesp and somewhere to crash.. there was no light in the bathroom it smelled mouldy in the room... the AC did work... the beds were pretty ok other than the cigarette burns in the bedding. There are sketchy people that hang out in the parking lot ALL NIGHT and stare at you the entire time u are at you r vehicle. Cars coming and going all bight with loud nusic and people living there and fixing their cars in the parking lot.
This ... is a no tell motel... and was dirtier than it looks in pics...spend the extra 60.00 and go to comfort inn....
- Jessy (4/5): - Staff very nice but place was noisy, the electrical switches in the restroom need repair. Very unsafe.
- Marty (2/5): - Service was lousy never got to the room well looked at the room it was dirty cockroaches look like drugs were being sold and done around there prostitutes it really run down plays would recommend hotel.com to drop this location and did not rent a room use it of any kind had to go to another motel and rent from my Laquita
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property is pretty good not really any complaints. I saw something about roaches in a review but I haven't seen any.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - First, the lady was phenomenal, great customer services. HANDS DOWN!! NOW the property it's self is a disgrace to the as whole of " OYO" PERIOD!! I would say get rid of the whole building but people will be out of a job. MY room phone did not dial out non what so ever So i hope you have a cell phone or don't need to dial 911 2.) Towels were Staind dirty, bathroom door was about to fall of it's hinges, broke bathroom window. Found a torch lighter that my kid got a hold to from someone who stayed there(unproper housekeeping). The property's pool looks like an alligator swap (disgusting green water) druggies walking the property all night, loud noise outside and through the walls !! I'm glad it was just an in/out business trip. I would definitely had went somewhere else but the customer service that the lady had maybe me just finish out my night. They need to give her a pay raise just for doing her job & going above and beyond for that property literally!!!
- Quantae (2/5): Trash hotel - Worse hotel I ever been too
- Verified traveler (4/5): - There is a $100 deposite when getting there.
The room smelled like cigarette smoke, there was green paint on the inside of my door saying “We see you,” my neighbors were cutting up drugs in the middle of the night with the very obvious card hitting the table noise…and finally a fight broke out making it outside to the front of my room.
Not worth the cheap price
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything was great
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Its not even worth a review
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I loved the staff. The housekeepers were super friendly and efficient. The hotel manager was really nice and helpful. I liked that the parking was only accessible from one entrance right in front of the office so I felt safe.
- J P (2/5): Absolutely DISGUSTING! - This was the most disgusting hotel I have ever! In 5 minutes of sitting in the parking lot I onserved two drug deals! The pool was brown. I tried to cancel the reservation with OYO and they refused. Attemptes a refund with hotel.com and they refused!
- Richard (6/5): Avoid this location! - There was a 100$ deposit (which I never got back [OYO doesn't seem to give to f***s]) for a room that smelt like a wet ashtray. There was an adjoining room which I could hear the neighboring person was trying to enter with what sounded like a knife being used to try to pry the lock/sealant. Over all -- awesome receptionist, the only highlight of this stay -- was a *major* disappointment. Would only recommend to my worst enemy.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - H.O.R.R.I.B.L.E!!!!!! Drug addicts outside the doors making noise all night. Ppl next door were fighting all morning. I wouldn't come back even if they had rooms for $5 a night
- Pamela (8/5): - A little scruffy but acceptable for a quick 1 night stay. Not very clean. Missing towels but promptly given a set when I went to the office to get them. Did NOT like the $100 required deposit for damages. When hotels do this it means to me that they have a rough clientele which is given to theft. Brings great personal safety concerns as well as anxiety for my car & possessions in the car! Always makes me think twice about using their service. Was not aware of required deposit when I made the reservation!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It was the scariest experience ive had and i couldnt stay. I waited at the check in window with two small kids for 30 mins( ringing the bell to check in) before i left the homeless and drug infested area of town. As i was leaving the attendant was returning and i called to let her know i couldnt stay because we got freaked out. Thes e loitering folk had finally noticed us and were approaching our car so i sat with a pistol in my lap until i could back out. I dont easily scare
- Mohamed (2/5): Too much payment - After. Asking the reservation and paid the full price they refused to check me in until I pay an extra $100 to be refunded in 7-10 business day ??!!
- debra (2/5): Horrible - Check in was horrible. I stood in line for over an hour to check in after I made reservations online. Then the lady at the desk got mad at another customer in line because he was complaining and she started cussing him and they both started yelling and cussing. The whole place felt very unsafe.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Convenient to my meeting and price. No WIFI, though.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The front desk clerk was rude and nasty the room I chose was supposed to have been smoke free it was not the room was nasty the guest that were there were cursing screaming and fighting security has to chase them off the property the pool was discussing no up keep in the rooms not a place for family and even single people smh never again and I would never recommend this place to no one I don’t know how they are even on this site I am surprised!!!!!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Nothing
- Thomas (2/5): Never again - TV didn't work. After several calls to the office and walking to the desk myself, they still did nothing about it. I would never spend a night there again.
- Timothy M. (2/5): - It wasnt clean check in was at 2 rooms were ready til almost 3.... Drug activities and needles on the ground
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The only negative was the traffic passing in front of the property. I have stayed here many times before, but this i the first time it has been noticeable.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Niceclean comfortable room. Friendly staff when they finally came to the desk. The only problems were the other visitors. Very loud music and FIGHTING all night long.
- Adam (6/5): Got the job.... barely - The hotel charges a $100 deposit for an online reservation. The location is rather undesirable and no wifi service is available. Check in takes about an hour or so outside in the rain and local homeless. The front desk is nice although not to professional, electing to eat and hold a conversion with a friend instead of tending to the line of guest outside. I'm still awaiting my deposit to return. In an emergency situation its do-able but as a first option is a no. The room was as clean as you can get during covid and with a hotel who posts "not responsible if you catch covid due to our lack of cleaning". Spend a little more and go up the street.
- Maisha (2/5): Ridiculous - I was given someone elses room, I walked in on the people having sex. The next room the clerk tried to give me, he told me the occupants are due to leave in a few minutes and tried to give me a key. I declined. I had to sleep somewhere else. Please dont stay here.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It meet the minimum standards.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - When I arrived on the property I made a decision that I was not going to stay there just didn't look safe with the people hanging around and made it clear to the attendant and he basically agreed with me as far as my disappointment
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The top shelves were dirty and the bathroom window was locked with a hangar sticking in it.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Tv was broke in room no ashtrays no batteries in remote. Not even a chair.
- Brett (10/5): - Was quiet and uneventful
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Check-in is 2 pm. Got there at 1:45 pm and was told there were no rooms, but to check back in an hour. Was able to check-in at 2:30 pm. Also, $100 deposit is required which is not mentioned on this site. Stayed Saturday. It is now Tuesday and I have not received my deposit back.
WiFi password did not work, but WiFi kept blinking on/off the list. Pool water was dark green with things floating in it. Remote had no batteries and one of the towels was dirty.
On the plus side, the room appeared well cleaned and the staff was friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Room i booked online wasn't available when i got there, plus they've been charging double the reserve price in person.
- Brandon (2/5): Overbooked - Overbooked. Didn’t have no rooms when we arrived. Had to sleep in car with kids because there was no other hotel room available in area
- Walter (2/5): AVOID! Hotels.com should drop this dump. - Terrible. Between 0000 and 0300 someone was banging on our door at odd times. Each time it was a black man. On the third ime,I grabbed my weapon, adking what the hell was going on. Man said,"They need to see yo at the front " We decided then to get out of there. The clerk tried to say it was maintenance and there was no record of our being there as guests and was checking (?)
Two different guys? Bull! And no call to the room to inquire? I told the ckerk I felt someone was attempting to invade the room AND THAT I AM ARMED. I advised when I opened the door,my .357 was with me. As for our check in? A receipt was provided. So ehat the hell? I yold said ckerk THAT is how one gets shot. If one fears fir theur life,it is justified. He didn't know how to respond to that.
Overall: DO NOT STAY THERE.DO NOT STAY THERE. hiteks.com needs to drop that place like a hot potato. Now!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This is a horrible property. Upon arrival it was nothing like the Orbitz pictures. Also, I called prior to arrival to confirm parking options. Was advised that they have large truck parking in front hotel. Unfortunately, the designated area was a shoulder of the highway that is clearly markes NO PARKING. The clerk was rude and very bothered by any questions. When I asked to see the room she rolled her eyes and reluctantly took us to see the
- Surasan Pathak (2/5): - Horrible experience.
- M (2/5): - I was never able to get my key when I checked in due to two people harassing me at the counter. This is not a safe hotel. When I asked for a refund from Oyo, they didn’t respond. Not safe, and not family friendly.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The room we attempted to stay in was filthy. Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this place as possible.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Overpriced for the conditions of the hotel. TV barely worked, fridge did not work
- James (2/5): This place is not worth the effort - The stay was booked and paid for through Hotels.com. When our employee arrived, the hotel said they are not taking reservations form Hotels.com at this time and refused to check in our employee. What a disaster this place is.
- Leodan (2/5): Waste of time! - Reservation did not exists. Waste for time.
- Anonymous (2/5): - It’s not a safe environment. Never got to stay because my reservation wasn’t honored and my room wasn’t available yet they still took my money off my card. Would not recommend anyone to book through Expedia
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Bad hygiene, didn’t feel safety for Covid 9 was applied, staff members and none of other people wearing mask. Dirty towels
- Jimmie (2/5): Needs proper attention... - Sheets and towels had stains in them was dirty just overall filthy... worth only $25-$30 a night
