• johnny (8/5): - Staff were really friendly and accommodating. Room had a pretty view of the field and a bath. Unfortunately it was not open-air as advertised. Although tatami was a good experience, it was uncomfortable for my back. Food was great!
• YOUNG EUN (10/5): - 오래된 소규모 지방 온천 호텔입니다. 방에 딸린 개인탕에서 수시로 온천 가능하고 가족탕 개념의 노천탕도 즐길 수 있어 재미있었어요. 저녁과 아침 식사 모두 일본식 한상 차림인데 반찬이 깔끔하고 간이 무난해서 일행 모두 잘 먹었습니다. 조용하게 일행과 가성비로 료칸 맛보기하며 쉬었다 가기 좋은 곳이라는 생각입니다.

• Maria (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay at this ryokan. We stayed in a traditional Japanese room and it was a unique experience. The staff was very friendly, attentive and helpful. Our dinner and breakfast was served in the dining room at the precise time we specified. The dishes were so thoughtfully placed. Thank you for making our stay a memorable one!!!

There is an indoor and outdoor private onsen which does not need to be reserved and is available anytime it's not in use. Quiet location in short walking distance to the train station. The hosts provided a shuttle service for check in and check out. Food is lovely and a variety of things to try, all served in a beautifully

• Verified traveler (6/5): Wonderful baths but mediocre service - This is an older, but well maintained Ryokan. The pools, both private and shared, are wonderful and have a great view over rice paddies. The service and food were a bit of a let-down. Perhaps it was because as an English-speaker, I was assigned a Burmese worker and a teenage Japanese kid as my hosts, but while their English was very good, their service lacked the refinement, pro-active hospitality and attention to detail that are often the hallmark of a great Ryokan. I did not feel particularly welcome at this property and often felt like staff were just going through the motions to be done with me. The food, while good, also felt somewhat uninspired and bland.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Private, Cozy, Clean and Great Staff - Been to many onsens in japan, but I think this place was by far the best, considering my preference for peaceful ryokans which are difficult to find in websites other than local japanese websites. Located quite far (15-min walk) from the main village/town, this ryokan has only five rooms that come with one private bath. Yes, the public baths (open air and indoor) are small, but each guest gets to place a sign showing everyone that he/she is inside. This keeps other guests from entering. And as I mentioned, there are only five rooms, so there is no way that a guest is going to miss out using the public baths due to user traffic. In fact, I used all three like five times throughout the night. Basically, three types of baths can be used privately. The staff are extremely kind and gentle, and I think they put A LOT of work into keeping this place super clean. I plan to come again next year!

• Verified traveler (10/5): Quiet and less pricey onsen hotel - The location is a bit far from the town, but that provides you a nice village view and quiet/calm environment. We didn't have much baggage so we could manage to walk 15-20mins from the JR station, and the hotel is easy to find. They drove us back to the JR station after check-out. I believe they would provide pick-up service if you call them in advance. The room is not big, but good enough and clean. We love the private onsen at our room a lot! There are 2 more onsens outside the room, and when there is nobody inside, you can just put the stand outside the door and it becomes your private onsen. The dinner and breakfast are just perfect. Since they only provide a few rooms, you can definitely enjoy some peaceful moments there.

• Verified traveler (10/5): 폿포안 가족힐링 온천으로 최적이 아닐까 싶습니다. - 위치가 민가주변이라 처음에 당황했으나 서비스도 좋고 무엇보다 객실내 온천도 있어 가족끼리 온천을 즐기기에는 더할나위없었습니다. 온천을 즐기는 동안 은은하게 들려오는 열차소리와 개구리소리에 간만에 모든 피로가 다 풀린듯합니다. 기회가 된다면 망설임없이 재이용 할 계획입니다.
• chun yu (10/5): - 一泊二食餐點超道地的日式料理，超讚。房間裡有自己的湯屋可以看到火車經過，超棒的。地點離街道有點遠但很安靜又很悠閒的地方。值得一去！！
• BEI (10/5): 景色超赞的温泉小屋 - 一个很有情调的温泉旅馆，一排温泉小屋排列在铁道边的田埂旁，透过窗户看过去，远山、田野、蓝天，把自然刻画得美轮美奂。房间里的私汤是亮点，边泡汤边透过窗户欣赏外面的美景，这是一种多么奢华的享受。旅馆提供免费接送服务，餐食也不错。只是我订的价格有点高了，可能是由布院这个地方的名声把价格抬起来了吧，相比较而言，其它一些地方的温泉旅馆的性价比高不少。

• PUI YING (10/5): 9 of 10 Marks Bravo - We are from HK and had a wonderful time in this onsen hotel. The food is perfect and which is so delicious. The location is perfect and it’s only takes 10 mins drive from the Yufuin station. There is a private onsen inside the room which we booked, super nice for the privacy. Although we need to go out for the dinner and breakfast, but it’s also separated, made you feel more comfy and high level of privacy. The view in the room is something very rare for us to see. It’s really a Fantastic experience for us P.S. The mattress is quite thin and so hard. We cannnot had a very good sleep. This is the only matter we concerned. But overall we give 9/10 marks to this Onsen Hotel ~
