Guest Reviews
- Chris (10/5): Had a great, comfortable time and will be back - Great position, very quaint , clean and lovely hosts
- Antony (10/5): Great 3 night weekend stay for the Daylesford Chill Out festival. - The cottage was well kept and very liveable for 2 people. The gifts of fresh Fig Jam and blueberries were greatly enjoyed. The cottage is on the outskirts of Daylesford but a 5 min car trip and then parking in Daylesford was easy.
- Jo (8/5): -
- Maura (10/5): Charming - This quaint little cottage is perfect for a relaxing getaway. It's a little out of town which adds to its privacy and peacefulness. We made a slight change to our booking late and the owners were great in accommodating our request.
- cristiana (8/5): Relaxing - The houst and the location The kitchen too old, need update
- Gina-Maree (10/5): Beautiful short break full of birdsong - Beautiful location, lovely garden, cute cottage, pleasant owners.
- Matthew (9/5): - Cottage in the country close to town. Beautiful garden.
- Leanne (10/5): Quince Cottage - perfect weekend getaway - Everything, gorgeous setting, cute cottage, will definitely return. Nothing. It was exactly what I expected.
- Jade (10/5): - Cosy, quiet and calming! Perfect place to enjoy downtime and enjoy the log fire. Quick to get into main strip too!
- Faye (8/5): Relaxing, comfortable weekend in the very quaint Quince Cottage. A wonderful way to enjoy Daylesford. - Quaint and relaxing Would benefit from more instant heat eg split system as the wall heaters were ineffective and while the wood heater was great it wasn’t instant. I don’t imagine the cottage would be comfortable in the summer with no cooling or fans. Split systems in the lounge and bedroom would solve year round climate.
- Adele (9/5): Perfect weekend away - Cosy fireplace/ lounge room
Comfy bed
Location just out of main area of Daylesford Nothing not to like
If u are after a kitchen this place probably not for you
- Silovic (8/5): Very good -
- Craig (8/5): Very good - The town
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional - Quince cottage is cosy, nestled in a gorgeously maintained garden, situated conveniently to activities in Daylesford, and serenely peaceful to stay in.
- Tonya (10/5): Terrific house in Daylesford amongst a lovely garden setting - The house was beautiful with wonderful gardens and the communication was excellent
Staff were very helpful and the place was comfortable and spotless throughout
Beautifully refurbished bathroom with a spa It was great.
- Malcolm (8/5): Probably not a good choice because of the shower - There was none Cook top was inadequate and old. Shower was over a deep spa bath very difficult for seniors. We were under the impression it was a walk in shower. There is no cooling only heating.
- Jo (9/5): Beautiful get-away spot - Beautiful cottage, just outside town with everything we needed. The spa was especially nice. Unfortunately, having walls adjoining the host's property meant that we could hear them a lot in the evenings (and they could possibly hear us). We just happened to catch them when they had a visitor.
- Madeline (9/5): Weekend Getaway to Quince Cottage - We loved how cosy the place was. Beautiful garden surroundings, a very effective wood fire, a comfy bed and a fantastic shower/ spa bath. Great for a weekend getaway! We only stayed for a short period and ate out but it's worth noting that the kitchenette is quite small and cooking facilities are limited. This wasn't a problem for us though!
- Peter (8/5): Very good - Electric heating not adequate if slow combustion fire not suitable for asthma sufferer.
- Ray (9/5): Superb -
- Cheryl (9/5): Superb - Location was wonderful, quiet yet close to everything
- Ware (9/5): Superb -
- Patricia (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (10/5): Despite the damp weather we enjoyed ourselves and at least the weather made the fire very welcome -
- Gareth (9/5): Superb - Excellent facilities. Great private location. Beautiful little cottage. Great shower and bath, good sized TV with lots of options, only one hot plate but it worked very well, and the outside sitting area was great. Overall, a fantastic stay. The bed was slightly uncomfortable (but nothing terrible), the toilet was a bit noisy at night and a few more blankets for the couch would have been great.
- Joshua (9/5): Superb - Very seamless experience.
The fireplace.
- Christina (9/5): Superb -
- William (9/5): Short getaway to relax. - Great location within walking distance to shops, very cosy. Not much not to like.
- Ion (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elaine (8/5): Very good - Comfortable house in great location

- Jan (9/5): Cosy and comfy with many thoughtful touches by the host - it’s a cute and cosy place in an idyllic location
- Jonathan (10/5): will happily stay again - very active owners commuted to providing all the comfort needed the only minor problem was only one ring on the job
- Christopher (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (8/5): Lovely time in a cute cottage - It's a very cute little cottaget just out of town (20 mins walk to the main street) yet it feels like you're in the country. The perfect size for one or two this cottage was a great base for my weekend. The cottage does back onto the main house which means there's some noise you can hear/ some risk that the hosts can hear you. It caused me no great bother though.
- Dianne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Francis (10/5): Cosy, colour and comfy cottage! - Stunning gardens to wander around in. Lovely host. Wonderful, cosy little cottage in a peaceful location away from the hustle and bustle of Daylesford. Super comfy bed!
- Vernon (9/5): Superb -
- Max (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pthenomad (9/5): Enjoyable stay - Lovely spot on edge of town with paddocks and kangaroos. But only a 2 minute drive from the main street of Daylesford. Lovely garden area and lots of birds. Owners live in adjoining part of cottage and we met them briefly. They were friendly but were respectful of privacy and made us feel very comfortable using table/chairs in garden area. Fire was nice and enjoyed a very comfortable 2 nights.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jill (10/5): Exceptional - Very quaint cottage with a lovely maintained garden.
We thought location was excellent and loved the quietness of the place. We appreciated the staples in kitchen and bathroom supplies. We had a very pleasant stay and explored the area.
The gift of fig jam was much appreciated by my husband who loved it on the English muffins which were left for us.
- Corinne (9/5): Superb -
- Josie (10/5): Cozy cottage in a lovely location - Beautiful garden
Nice and cozy
- Allen (10/5): lovely place - everything was beautiful
- Lucy (9/5): Secluded Beautiful Cottage - Great location, supplies, fireplace, kangaroos, cosy couch, comfy bed, clean and tidy. Great information folder for the local area, including restaurants and walks and things to. Which also included instructions on how to operate the fire etc. Beautiful garden, feels like a secluded spot but its a great distance to Daylesford and Hepburn. We were provided with shampoo, conditioner, tissues and even some yummy jam! We thought It would be self contained, stand alone cottage, but it is attached to the main house. The door knob on the screen door kept coming off, just means a little maintenance. And maybe put a sign near the freezer that it is not suitable for food, as we bought a little tub of icecream on the first night and went to eat it on the second night, but it was half melted.
- Aakash (10/5): - Gorgeous views all round. Close to town and great walls near by
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Old style charm
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Should be renamed tranquility cottage.
Its just perfect.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The cottage was lovely everything we needed. Set in a cottage style garden. The grounds were roomy and lovely to walk around.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Just a quick trip to town, the cottage has a lovely cosiness about it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was beautiful and isolated although still not far from the Main Street. The beautiful gardens and fruit trees were just picture perfect. The 1bedroom cottage itself was spacious and had everything you needed.
- Kelly (10/5): - Cute cosy cottage close to town. Quince Cottage is the perfect place for a quiet, relaxing escape. We couldn’t fault our stay here. It was simply gorgeous and spotless inside. So many thoughtful little touches too from the homemade jam to the beautiful fresh bread, to the orange juice in the fridge. Freshly picked flowers from the garden were inside when we arrived. We loved our stay at Quince Cottage and will definitely be back.
- Narelle (10/5): Quaint quiet and cozy - Quince cottage was a beautiful quaint cottage just a few minutes out of daylesford. It was peaceful and warm and cozy with a comfy couch warm fire comfy bed and beautiful gardens and outlook. We saw native birds and wildlife and a beautiful rainbow across the hills. Quince cottage was a perfect quiet and idyllic location for a bit of RnR
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean and tidy cute little cottage - Finding the cottage was a bit tricky, but the cottage was very clean and tidy. A very cute little cottage, well furnished and considering the weather was freezing, the canara worked extremely well and heated the cottage very comfortably
- B (10/5): - I had an excellent stay at Quince Cottage.
Was able to relax and enjoy the serenity of countryside in such a lovely and cozy setting.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful quiet location - A very relaxing and comfortable place to stay. Was welcomed by a lovely jar of complimentary blackberry jam which was super delicious.
Thanks for a great getaway 😀
- Sue M (8/5): Peaceful and calming - We had a lovely stay at Quince Cottage.
We had everything we needed and it was well equipped, with lots of extra touches, such as a candles and a wood heater, all set up ready to go.
When we arrived it did not have internet access and I rang Troy, who came within a half hour and brought us a working modem. It was great service.
It is a little out of town, but it made it quieter and even more peaceful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely quiet cottage with everything you need - Beautifully decorated quiet cottage. Relaxing atmosphere and very close to town.
