Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We wanted to find a pub with good food and close to Rutland waters to go biking. We stayed at the Fox and Hounds in Exton for 2 nights. It is situated next to a beautiful grassy square of big, mature trees. Big, safe parking area. The pub area is gorgeous, lovely big fireplaces, variety of seating. The dining room is really beautiful, full of character and the food is absolutely delicious. This is all down to the publican’s lovely Greek wife who is also the chef. Our bedroom (no3) was really lovely, 4 poster bed, ENORMOUS bathroom with lashings of hot water and lovely smellies. Really comfy bed, soft pillows ( very important) and Egyptian cotton sheets. We stayed two nights and would highly recommend this beautiful pub as a place to stay. Nicky and David
- Roger (10/5): - Great room and huge bathroom. Water hot and plentiful. Comfortable 4 poster bed.
- Joanne (4/5): - We had to wait in the empty bar area at least 5 minutes before the host appeared to check us in . We’d asked for an early check in as we were attending a wedding but I don’t think a £25 early check in charge was justified. The host asked us to pay for our rooms again even though I paid Expedia when I booked them. He then suddenly found that we had already paid when I questioned it . When we checked out the following morning we just had to leave our keys on the bar (which was full of dirty glasses) as once again no one was around . Would
Not stay again.
