- Ann (9/5): - This hotel is in a stunning location, never get fed up with the view. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Great choice for breakfast. Leaving
- Fiona (8/5): Fantastic views and friendly staff - Fantastic views. The room was warm and comfortable. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. It appears quite dated in some areas. Our room was quite small but had beautiful views.

- Major (10/5): Amazing. - The staff were really friendly and helpful.
The food was excellent and great views .
The breakfast, what ever you could think of it was there.
- Mustoe (5/5): - Wonderful location, great breakfast choice
Ample free parking. Do not book bedroom 2 on the 1st floor, we stayed for 2 nights and had interrupted sleep both nights due to noise from the cellar cooler fans being constantly on, it was like we had a tumble dryer under the bed. We did mention it to the staff with the hope of changing the room, but they were fully booked so unfortunately we had to endure it. Even with this, we would stay here again, just a different room.
- Dave (8/5): A beautiful building with stunning views and fabulous staff - A superb position overlooking Torbay, with a choice of terrace and gardens to sit and enjoy the stunning views across Torbay. We didn't use our car the entire stay as Brixham harbour was within easy walking distance for us, and likewise the clifftop walks around Berry Head. There is plenty of choice at breakfast, and the local crab sandwiches we had at lunch were delicious. ALL the staff we met and spoke to were helpful, polite and chatty. We come to Brixham regularly in our camper, but this time we chose more comfort ... and we would choose the Berry Head Hotel again! Our room was 12A so no unlucky 13, but it was previously a bigger room divided in two, because you could hear the people in the adjoining room talking fairly easily, and using their plug sockets on the dividing wall. It didn't bother us, but it was noticeable.
- Elisabeth (10/5): Fantastic - The grounds were lovely. The scenery was wonderful as well overlooking the bay. Restaurant and bistro also had great food. Service exceptional. Easy walk into town

- Jeanette (8/5): Very comfortable stay in fab location - Great location
Comfortable bed
Very good breakfast choices, and good food at dinner
Staff friendly and helpful The room was a little tired. Bathroom needs updating-shower over bath with plastic shower curtain is a bit dated
Although overall perfectly clean bedroom carpet needed a really good hoover
- Inita (8/5): Excellent hotel with good food - Nice mix of old school and new Nothing
- Sarah (9/5): Really lovely. Can’t fault it. - Love the friendly and family feel of the place. Good food. Comfortable room. Lovely location and the leisure suite is a really good bonus. Maybe a basket to deposit towels in the leisure suite nothing else.
- Allen (9/5): -
- Lee (10/5): Amazing location, really friendly staff - The staff were very helpful. Nothing too much trouble.
- debbie (10/5): -
- Paul (10/5): Really beautiful location, clean , great breakfast but poor shower - Location and the style/period of property Bath/shower very small and leaked everywhere and I don’t like shower curtains!
- Chris (7/5): Friendly staff - Beautifully located hotel near the coast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice swimming pool and spa. The small room. For the money it should be larger. Breakfast was just about OK . No multi seeded bread and very limited prepared fresh fruit.
- Susan (9/5): A haven of peace and tranquility! - Very clean and comfortable.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Fantastic location and views Nothing to dislike
- Claire (9/5): Excellent - Location

- Marion (10/5): Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended - The location was just right for us. Beautiful views. Helpful and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble.
We self catered for breakfast as we were in the apartments but the dining was very good. With special mention for William’s shortbread biscuits 😊
- Julian (7/5): An enjoyable 3 night stay with good weather and the location making up for any shortcomings. - The hotel is in a beautiful location overlooking the whole of Torbay. The outside terrace is lovely and the residents dining room very smart and well located. The decor is rather faded and old fashioned. Especially the 2 resident’s lounges. The bedroom a bit small and disappointing for the price. On Saturday evening the loud disco type music on the outside terrace was not in keeping with a 4 star hotel.

- Mike (7/5): - Location perfect,
- sue (9/5): One could enjoy a wonderful holiday without leaving the hotel and its immediate surroundings. - Fabulous breakfasts- lots of fresh fruits including pineapple and melon, fresh fruit salad grapefruit and sweet prunes. Eggs fried poached and scrambled, bacon sausages grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, black pudding, potato cakes and a good selection of cereals yogurts and fruit juices! Toast butter and marmalade and jams. Having a sleepless dog in the room next door! Happily only on my first night.
- Donna (10/5): -
- Deakin-Hyde (8/5): Very enjoysble - Location and view. Proximity to Brixham. Walking distance from the hotel
The cyclamen and spring flowers were beautiful The sauna was not working but a good reason was given
- Dave Guy (9/5): Weekend escape in Devon - Location very good with a stunning view or the bay. Great terrace and brasserie outlook. Meals excellent both breakfast and dinner. Staff helpful and friendly. Room was slightly smaller than we had expected given the proportions of the downstairs social areas. Apart from that no complaints at all.
- Martin (8/5): Great short break , will visit again - Breakfast today was excelent , great val;ue hotel Good allround experience
- Anita (8/5): -
- Clive (7/5): - Location, food, sea view Room was a little small, but needed a deeper clean.
- Nicola (10/5): -
- Elena (10/5): Wonderful and relaxing place. The staff are lovely. - The staff were wonderful on arrival. We had Melanie but also liaised with the brasserie staff and waiting staff who were fantastic. Our apartment was beautiful, wonderful! Jacuzzi and fantastic views. Charging for bed space that is a sofa in a living area,, always irks me. Especially when the sofa is metally and uncomfortable. This is not a cheap accommodation and although attention to detail has been placed on decor, the sofa bed, leaves something to be desired.
- Linda (9/5): Extremely happy with our last minute booking. - We loved the location, the room, the breakfast, the staff and the facilities. Nothing, all great.
- McNulty (10/5): - Excellent short stay especially as our room was upgraded.
Food excellent and good value Nothimg
- Nicola (9/5): Very pleasant - Function was really well run, food was fantastic. Room was a little on the small size, but we did have a sea view.
- Jan (9/5): Apartments were lovely. Spacious, comfortable and quiet with great shower - We stayed in the apartments which were lovely. Kitchen was good, bed comfortable and great shower. Bit noisy behind when staff went home one night with motorbike and chat for a few mins but otherwise quiet. Bar was a disappointment tbh. Floor was being varnished and so difficult to move around as busy. Smelt of cabbage and was very warm! Sat lunch strange time to varnish floor really. So we didn’t go back instead went into town.
- mbfoster7663 (6/5): Average - This is the 2nd time I have stayed in an apartment at Berry Head Hotel.
The hot tub is fantastic, the view from the room is fantastic.
The location is fantastic! I’m afraid that old urine around the bottom of the toilet pan really doesn’t do it for me.
There was cobwebs behind the main curtains , and as a dog friendly hotel I would have liked a dog bowl and a gate in the apartment entrance.
The room is billed as 4 Star accommodation. Slippers would have been appreciated.
I would have brought all this up on check out but the staff didn’t really seem to care.
- Adam (10/5): Great hotel - We stayed in an apartment that was very well appointed and nice touch with loaf of bread, milk and butter on arrival. Very peaceful
- Alan (9/5): An ideal location and hotel for a short stay in S Devon. - Location is stunning, with views over Torbay. Excellent facilities. Staff highly professional and helpful. Nothing
- DAVID (6/5): Felt disappointing - Welcoming staff and great hotel location. Bar area and views were fabulous. Good breakfast. Small room with sloped ceiling so felt very tight, somewhat dated. Disappointed with the room considering the cost. Carvery was ok but end of service wasn't a good time to book. Pool area ok but needs investment.
- Garry (9/5): Nice relaxed stay in a classic hotel overlooking the sea. - fantastic location over looking Torbay, lovely breakfast, clean facilities and helpful staff. Nice indoor pool which we used for pre breakfast swimming. Unfortunately, at the time of our stay, the sauna wasn't available to use.
- Rob (9/5): Fantastic value for money stay. - Room was very comfortable. It was nicely decorated and big. It was also spotless. Breakfast was excellent and Bar meal the night before was great too. Nothing - this is a great Hotel.
- Mills (8/5): Overall lovely - Location, staff, food. Binoculars provided. Lack of Gluten free options. It was a case of removing food rather than replacing. Some parts of the hotel are tired looking. Tv has a lack of connectivity.
- Colin (9/5): Very good was as expected, exactly as needed for quite relaxation. - Good selection of fruit, cereal. Good selection of fried food, eggs etc. The waiting staff very friendly and attentive. The shower was very small corner type. It had a rain head type which in such a small shower was awkward. The controls in the room we were in was very difficult to operate, a person with arthritis wouldn't be able to use it.
- Tracy (8/5): -
- Brian (6/5): Go with open eyes - Location The staff were grumpy and some rude. I would recommend they had some customer service training.
- Iain (9/5): -
- Julie (10/5): -
- John (8/5): Although the weather wasn’t very good we had a lovely time and relaxing break - Breakfast excellent - location perfect with fantastic views The hotel was not busy and we could have been upgraded to a room with a better view.
There were far too many dogs allowed in the restaurant area on a couple of occasions
- graham (10/5): Excellent hotel supported by first class food and service - On arrival reception staff wre friendly and helpful, the cleaners ensured everything in room was excellent, even providing buscuits and poo bags for the dog. Service as well as the food was A1.
- Sarah (10/5): -
- Olivia (7/5): -
- Christine (10/5): -
- Alison (8/5): -
- Kathryn (5/5): I was upset getting a phone call two days after my stay saying I didn’t pay for two coffees, that night I total cost us - I love going to the Berry Head The property was fine, the TV didn’t work, we informed the hotel but haven’t had a reply about that, but they phone me up two days later to say I owed £7.50 for two coffees, after spending £700 for one night
- Paul (10/5): Relaxed , comfortable exactly what we needed. Definitely going again - Comfortable, clean lovely food and seating areas the staff were very smart, polite and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Nothing
- Elizabeth (9/5): - Staff on the front desk were lovely and friendly. The swimming pool was wonderful. Evening meal excellent. View from our room and the breakfast room were so beautiful. Wonderful location.
- Joanne (10/5): Had a really relaxing and comfortable stay at Berry Head hotel. It is covenient location to walk into harbour town. Ro - Plenty of Relaxing areas to sit and chill. Also bonus having pool/hot tub facilities which added bonus to our experience at this hotel. Nothing
- Kevin (9/5): -
- Jacqueline (10/5): -
- Mike (8/5): Nice short break reconnecting with area and friends - Room was spacious without being expansive. Bathroom however was a little dated. Breakfast was execllent as was the meal we had in the hotel one evening. Service from all staff was excellent nothing really
- Simon (10/5): Excellent - Great hotel and location. N/A
- Sally (9/5): Very enjoyable. - Breakfast was well presented and there was a good variety. Room was warm, clean and tidy. Bathroom was excellent. View fabulous. Nothing
- Jill (8/5): Great location and views in lovely Brixham - We stayed in the apartments, which were great. That the hot tub was extra - we were already paying quite a lot per night.
- William (8/5): Lovely comfortable spot for chilling out or base for visiting local places of interest and walks - Breakfast and location both very good Could maybe be bit more efficient on the table cleaning on the terrace.
- Joanne (10/5): Absolutely perfect. We enjoyed every minute of our stay - Location, style, sea view, comfort, beautiful grounds and the terrace is stunning Nothing
- Kevin (8/5): -
- Jo (9/5): -
- mike (2/5): will not be coming to stay but would come for sunday lunch. - view from dining room shower not working .some indifferent service at Sunday lunch. hair in my breakfast . view not as advertised view of sea only if you stood at extreme angle to window , mainly view of tree. small room with limited headroom
