Guest Reviews
- Kathleen (10/5): - Location was very close to the State Park where events were. Corner store served breakfast and lunch that was great and people were very friendly
- Marvin (8/5): - Off the beaten path, former health care centre, very few amenities or restaurants nearby.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Lawn needed cleanup, halls dark and dreary, no one at desk for check in. Seemed to be an old hospital, and still looked like one. Surprised that a place like this is on hotels.com. Do NOT recommend this place!
- Randy (10/5): - I was pleasantly surprised as to the cleanliness, and quality of this facility. The owner met me there and was wonderful. Hard working ranch family. Good value. Book direct. Take some snacks as there is no gas or food facilities in this old ranching community.
- Donn (10/5): - This place was different from other places I've stayed. The building had been used for apartments, so I actually was staying in a small apartment with kitchen, living room, armchairs and a couch, aside from the usual bedroom and bath. It would be great for folks needing a bit more room for meeting friends or family. There was no breakfast at the Lodge, but a spot down the road had a wonderful eggs and pancakes one.
- Michelle (10/5): - Nice large rooms with new furniture in a quiet small Nebraska town with good access to fishing and hunting.
- Rita (8/5): - It was very quiet. The rooms wete very dark, no nightlight. We were uncomfortable not having a staff member on the property.
- Rene (10/5): - A unique place to stay and the price is right!!
- Rene (10/5): - An unique place to stay!!
- Kay (8/5): Great stay out of the way - This is an out of the way stay, meaning off the Interstate, in a small town. BUT if you just need a friendly, comfortable stop overnight, Lewellen Lodge works great! They bend over backwards to accomodate you. The place is quiet and definitely no frills. But dont we all need some of that once in a while?
- Alice (10/5): Wonderful place to stay - We loved everything about the lodge - comfort, spacious, clean, quiet! The only problem we had was getting someone to check us in after having made a reservation online, arriving and calling the number posted on the door. After waiting a 1/2 hr. we found a second number in an advertisement and that person got a hold of the person on site. However, we would definitely stay again.
- Lea (10/5): - Very clean and the room was big and comfy.
- Victoria (10/5): A great place to stay. - The hotel room was clean and spacious. The manager made us feel welcome and accommodated us as a group that rented several rooms. The kitchenette was nice to have.
- Michael (10/5): - This place is a refreshing jewel hidden off the main path! You won't be disappointed.
- Michelle (8/5): - Nice large rooms and friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very comfortable accommodations. Friendly staff. Highly recommend. Great place to stay when viewing the Sandhill Cranes.
- Eldon (8/5): - Very clean, and certainly affordable. A converted assisted-living facility, the rooms are mini-suites, with kitchenettes and separate bedrooms. Comfort and convenience would be enhanced by the addition of bedside stands and lamps, and a small table for eating, etc. The owners/managers are very friendly and accommodating otherwise. Very quiet, and the beds are quite comfortable.
- Jenna (10/5): - The rooms were nice and comfortable. I plan on staying there again in the future.
- Jonette (10/5): Fantastic value! - Clean, comfy and owners are wonderful. I'm a decorator and would love to get my hands on this property and decorate it, but it is roomy with a couch and recliner and kitchen in one area and a separate bedroom with large bathroom... like i said, it is awesome for the price. I'll be back.
- Joe (10/5): - Kimi goes above & beyond to make your stay more than you expect!
- Dale (4/5): - Inconvenient, no place to eat for 20 miles. No drinks, ice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The lodge is an extended care facility building that is converted to a lodge. Located in a quiet neighborhood. Rooms are spacious and clean, but not a standard "hotel" format ... more of a medical facility arrangement. Bed was extremely comfortable. I will probably stay there on my next trip west.
- Anna (8/5): Worth consideration! - Near a beautiful lake. Older building very solid and quiet. (The grounds need some maintenance) Both the owner and her assistant are very helpful and kind. Our room(s) was very comfortable. One negative: no place to eat after 2:00. Had to travel to the nearby town and that was very disappointing. Plan ahead, please.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Friendly and quiet - Friendly staff and a nice quiet place to rest for the night.
- Ronald (8/5): Nice place to stay - Impressed with room- large and comfortable. We were shown to our room in timely fashion. Can’t wait til next summer. Will be better prepared with food and coffee. Nice to have dishes and table wear available.
- LeRoy (10/5): Lodge - Great place if you need it just ask. Kim goes above and beyond to make you're stay the best they can.
- Mike (10/5): - Very pleasantly surprised! This place is an old nursing home/assisted living facility converted into a motel. Nothing is new but it is all clean and the owner could not have been friendlier or attentive to our needs. Very quiet, ten minutes from the boat ramp at Lake Mac. Cannot beat the price. We will stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Traveling for work I booked this hotel by chance and glad I did. It was a comfortable, great hotel. The owner was extremely nice and made me feel very welcome and comfortable. I stayed at 4 other hotels throughout my trip some big name hotel chains and I would have stayed at this hotel every night if I could. Best bed and TV of all of the hotels.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly staff, clean room, lots of space, quiet. We would stay here again.
- Phillip (10/5): Sue and Phil - This place is so nice. Great rate, clean, best bed ever, nice 2 room suite with kitchenette and nicest staff. Kimmy was wonderful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice people running motel. Very small town, no fast food places
- Catheine (10/5): Great stay - It was good kinda creepy at first felt like it was abandon but beautiful rooms nice owner
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very comfortable and well managed. would recommend to friends
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Hidden gem. Clean, quiet, comfy room and very affordable. Can’t beat the small- town hospitality.
- Vanessa (10/5): - Nice little hotel tucked away in a small town, very quiet. Easy driving distance to Lake McConaughey. Rooms were bigger than I expected.
- Iram (10/5): - so many things I can put on the list
The owner of the hotel she’s awesome
The rooms they really clean the beds they are really comfortable everything is good I highly recommend this hotel
- Traveler (10/5): - Very odd, it looks like a senior assisted living facility that was turned into a lodge. No front desk, you have to call to have someone check you in. If you're in the area it's a great deal, only $65 a night and it's the size of a small apartment! Very cozy.
- Chandra (10/5): - A great little place, utterly peaceful and quiet. Great hoapitality and as far from the usual motel as uou van get. Also awesome value for money.
- the Gunns (10/5): Peaceful - Good ole country living stay with ping pong table and out side grill. Calming,, quiet, refreshing.
- vijay (10/5): Excellent hotel with great amenities - Excellent hotel with great amenities Very comfortable beds.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely place in a rural setting. - A nice surprise in a very rural area. Huge room and suite. Friendly and interesting staff. Felt welcome here and will stay again when in the area. Lodge setting.
- Cindi (10/5): Midwest Road trip - After a long day on the road I was greeted by friendly and informative people, shown to my room and had options offered for where I could find dinner.
- Melanie (10/5): - Totally awesome stay. They are still working on some of it, and it will be even better when it is done.
- Birdie (10/5): - The room was great and roomy and had great windows that open for fresh air! The bed was awesome! People were great too! Would definitly stay again!
