We felt that the hotel went a extra mile in keeping guest happy with providing fauset with drinking water and all. The staff were friendly and eager to help if we should need it. • theodors770 (4/5): Nice but personnel - Mixed feelings. The location is superb and the premises are clean, well designed and cozy. The staff did its best to spoil the impression. My passport was damaged at the first moment of my stay (they intended to take a copy of the document and tore the main page). There were multiple attempts to enter my room without knocking at the door (I was inside) and without proper explanation. The personnel hardly spoke any language but Russian. I never received any compensation or excuse until the last day of my stay. Consider it when choosing Kaleydoskop.
• Houstonian42 (8/5): Great little "hotel" ! - Great little "hotel" - the room is super well designed, and was perfect to accomodate 3 people (I was very suspicious of the single bed above the kitchen, but it is a full size single bed...)! Couple things that would make it even better... better soundproofing from the street noise and better curtains (easier than replacing the windows!) for the morning lights; and reloading coffee capsules daily. Would definitely go back there (this time with earplugs and Dolce Gusto capsules)!
• cindychng77 (6/5): Cute little apartotel in good location - Cute little apartotel in good location. Might get noisy over weekends, but hotel provides earplugs. Close to Nevsky prospekt, a little park, good restaurants within walking distance - try tarkhun (Georgian) and la canelletta (Italian) Housekeeping daily, but they didn't change the bedlinen even though I stayed for over a week. Most things provided in hôtel room, sanitary products, oil for cooking etc Compact but functional rooms. There is a flight of stairs to go to hotel, no staff available to help with the luggage, so it's good to note that
• IrinaBh (10/5): Атмосферно! - Very clean apart hotel with great location right in the center of St.Petersburg. The room has a private kitchen and very good shower. There is no receiption in the hotel, but you will not really need it, because everything is well arranged. You can contact the staff by what's up any time. The staff is very caring and helpful. There is a small lobby at the entrance, where you can sit while waiting or leave your baggage in safe boxes in case of departure. There are also possibilities to drink tea at the lobby, there is a toilet and shower there as well. There could be a bit better bed, but for the 3 star hotel it is ok, only blanket was too narrow for 2 people (approximately 1meter, maximum 1,2 meters), so we had to use 2 blankets instead of one. And when you choose a room, pay attantion at the size of bed, as they may differ and can be fine for one person but small for a couple. But if to choose were to stay next time, most likely it will be the same hotel!
• Roving29400312555 (8/5): good location - Nice, clean and personal small place, no reception. The arrival time must be informed in advance, it works if you know the time exactly.. Not for disabled person, narrow, slipery and high stairs before the main door.
• lohjorth (10/5): Great located place with very service minded staff - A perfect located place for a stay in St Petersburg. Close to nearly everything. Very fresh rooms with the most things you need. A great plus for the very service minded staff. The only negative was the cafe nearby they used for breakfast.
• Thanawan (10/5): Wonderful! - Had a great stay at Kaleidoscope on Italyanskaya and will recommend it to anyone wanting to visit St Petersburg. Highly recommend. Room looked exactly like what the ad pictures.Staff (Oksana, Svetlana, Marina and lady who opens the gate for us) were very friendly and helpful. Communications with the hotel went very smoothly and promptly. They approached us via email before arrival and booked us an airport transfer. We stayed for 3 nights and there was housekeeping (fresh towels, bed made up) everyday. The only downside would be the noise in the hallways due to thin walls and no carpeting but after a full day of exploring the city - there was no problem for us falling asleep.
• Stephen (10/5): Excellent - Our room was on the small side for 4 adults, but we managed quite satisfactorily! It was spotless and appointed to a high standard. They had paid real attention to detail. The hotel has a great location and is within walking distance of most of the main attractions. Hotel staff were amazing and sorted out taxis for us when we needed them. We communicated via WhatsApp so could be in constant touch if needed. This hotel was a very lucky find and I would definitely recommend it!

• 921marijanad (10/5): Excellent stay in the centre - We had amazing time stay in this hotel. Kitchen is very well equipped and bathroom is amazing. Place is quiet and all points of interest are in walking distance. It is situated next to Faberge Museum so the boats are also nearby.

The hotel contacts us using WhatsApp, easy and fast to communicate each other. We use the luggage box to store our luggage after check-out, that’s really good. We will come back for sure.

• CaptPrasanna (10/5): Wonderful stay in the heart of SPG - Location was great, in the heart of Nevsky Prospekt and few minutes walk to Hermitage. Surrounded by plenty of restaurants, $ exchanges and markets. Friendly staff. The rooms were very nice, cosy and clean. It was a great stay. Definitely recommend this property .

• 497graemes (10/5): Excellent apartment-hotel in great locaton - We chose this place because of other reviews and ratings and weren't disappointed. The standard of the room and equipment were on a par with a real high-end place but we found it affordable, particularly given its very central location. The hotel is just one street off St Petersburg's main drag (Nevsky) and is literally just a few minutes walks from some of the city's major attractions like the Russian Museum and Church on the Spilled Blood. That means it's also really handy for bars and restaurants so forget the option of booking breakfast with them as there are no restaurant facilities in the hotel and all you seem to get is a voucher to go somewhere nearby and other reviews said this wasn't great. Much better to do your own thing, either eating out or preparing breakfast yourself in the small kitchen area in the rooms which have all the kit you would need for simple food preparation. We were a party of three with our son, 14, who was delighted to climb up the cabin bed in the same room as our spacious and comfortable double.The full-size walk-in shower (no bath) was excellent and the bathroom had complimentary toiletries and plenty of towels which were replaced every day. There was plenty of storage in the room and the free slippers was a nice touch and again more like the level of service you would get in a much more expensive place.
• grozen994438 (10/5): Great stay at Saint Petersburg - we highly recommend Kaleidscope on Italyanskaya hotel it has great location, right along the main street of the city (Nevskiy prospekt), even so it's very quite. the room is tide and very clean too, and the stuff is friendly & warm.
• LutzK182 (10/5): Worlcup 2018 - Great Stay in Kaleidoscope during the WorlCup in Russia. The Appartments are a very nice and fresh change to the typical Hotels. You have everything you need including a Nescafe Machine and the location in the Old Town is simply great. Would also recommend it for families as the rooms offer enough space for three (eventually four) people and you habe also a small kitchen. Apart from the great place Svetlana makes the stay very personal as she takes care of everything and seems to work 24/7! Thanks a lot we really enjoyed it!

• jsoini355427 (10/5): Great value for your money - Stayed here for 3 nights during Fifa world cup 2018. We booked room for 3 guests and were really happy with this place! Hotel is pretty new and everything looks clean and modern. Also within walking distance of a metro station and many tourist attractions. There is no 24h reception so they sent me whatsapp message before our arrival to ask me what time we would arrive and directions to hotel. That was really helpful because it might have been harder to find the hotel without their message :) Receptionist was also really helpful when we arrived. Only negative thing about this hotel was that breakfast was served at a nearby restaurant and it was really really slow, took like 45minutes before we were served our orders.
• chillnvb (10/5): Lovely comfy stay - My wife, infant and I recently concluded our stay. We were pleasantly surprised at how spacious and comfortable our room was. The room had everything you could think of to make our stay great. The staff although not present during the entire stay, were very friendly and helpful making sure we had all that we needed. The location is great. One block off Nevskiy Prospect there were tons of restaurants and bars in walking distance. It’s a little bit of a hike to the Hermitage about 20-25 mins but close to the Russian Museum and Fabergé museum. The only complaint was the stairs getting into the building. Was a bit tough to navigate with the stroller. I would highly recommend a stay here!
• jong (10/5): Excellent accomodation with minor inconvenience - Condition of the Apartment itself was excellent and receptionist and cleaning staff are very nice. Two complains we had are: First, it was difficult for us (average age is 68) to carry big luggage to 2nd floor without help. This can be improved by inform guests "no elevator" at Hotels.com. Second, the staff's office is located at the end of hall way. It was not easy to find it and sometime a visitor (our guide) couldn't get in the building.
• Rachel (4/5): - The place is lovely, very clean and comfortable but the windows are so thin you can hear everything and it was an extremely noisy area. At night there were parties in the neighbouring road and by day there was a heavy metal rock festival in the square starting with 8/9am rehearsals. The blinds let all the light in which was terrible in a city with so few hours of darkness. It was a great location to explore St Pet and I'd recommend the chain for its amenities etc but definitely wouldn't stay at this one again, hardly got a wink of sleep.

Breakfast is not in the hotel so short walk required and choice for breakfast is limited, if you ask for milk or fruit you will have to pay extra...... Bathroom could do with a bit more of a clean each day
• mnogue814069 (10/5): Totally Recommend - Great location. 1 block from Nevsky Avenue and very close to the metro. Area nearby is packed with bars, restaurants and shops but the hotel area is very quiet. The room is not very big but is perfectly equipped. It has everything you need and the room is cleaned every day.
• Sborges01 (10/5): Outstanding Place in Saint Peter - Very friendly and helpful staff. Its location is excellent. Easy access (walking distance and/or. Subway) to several sites you want to see in the historical center. Safe to walk anytime. The room has everything you would need including a good hair dryier which was important to my wife. You have enough to cook your own meals if you want to. They have tea available and water. They also have a luggage box with a access key to the hotel so you can leave your luggage if you need to. Internet was pretty decent. Comfortable bed and clean.
