• Jordan (8/5): Good Hotel that Needs Some Love - The staff was wonderful. From the front desk to the cleaners, they always greeted me with a smile. The breakfast was very good. There was a new selection of hot dishes every morning. If you stay at this hotel, I hope you are there on a day when they serve duck - it's excellent. The rooms are the size of a good size bachelor suite. There's lots of room to unpack your suitcase and really move in for your stay. I happened to have a room with a balcony, which added to the experience. The noise was minimal on the side that didn't face the street. The sunset view from the roof is outstanding. The whole hotel was kept very clean. I'm also pleased to say that no critters from the jungle out back made any appearance although I did see monkeys in the trees. The location is also very good - easy access to the beach across the street, good restaurants just outside the door and 7-eleven less than five minute walk. In a lot of ways the hotel is good when it could be great. Most notably the pool area. It looks like it was once an absolute gem and now it has basically been abandoned and used for storage. The bar area just has a bunch of stuff in it and is not attended. Only a couple of the wicker loungers had cushions. One of the two fabric loungers was ripped. The liner in the pool seemed to be coming detached and if not fixed soon will probably cause the pool to be closed. I would like to see this place get the maintenance it needs to be as fantastic as it could be.

• Ronald (5/5): Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt noch akzeptabel. - Frühstück, Zimmer Lärm am Abend durch ein Live Café sehr laut. Aufzug defekt im 4. OG-mein Zimmer befand sich dort ☹️ Rooftop pool, der Boden war mit Holzdielen, die wegen des Alters uneben und zum Teil zerstört waren, was eine Unfallgefahr darstellte (siehe Foto). Sehr wenig intakte Liegen am Pool und nur ein einziger Sonnenschirm.
• Natalia (7/5): - Долго выбирала отель (важен был этот пляж ) Отдыхали на Новый год 2026 встречали на острове Важно расположение через дорогу от прекрасного пляжа , отличные завтраки и очень хороший персонал !! Если берёте вид на море (будет очень солнечная сторона и шум от дороги . Отель находится рядом с баром с живой музыкой и с 21:00-00:30 будет очень шумно. к слову сказать нас переселили на другой конец отеля было лучше , но все -равно слышно . Кровать очень жесткая , подушки неудобные.
• Kasper (1/5): Træt og nedslidt hotel med live musik som nabo - Der er desværre ikke super meget at fortælle af positive ting. Personalet var utroligt venligt og smilende, hvilket altid er et plus, men udover det, så var intet som forventet. Billederne stemte overhovedet ikke overens med, hvordan hotellet ser ud i dag. Hotellet er komplet nedslidt - poolområdet var fuldstændigt rømmet og beskidt. Værelserne var slidte - der var tegnet med sprittusch på nogle af møblerne fx. Det har muligvis været et fint hotel, dengang det blev bygget og billederne blev taget, men det er i hvert fald 10 år siden og det tyder ikke på, at der er lavet nogen former for reparationer på hotellet siden det blev bygget andet end lidt klatmaling hist og her. Der ligger en restaurant klods op ad hotellet, der har live musik de fleste dage fra 21:00 til 00:30 - vi fik udleveret et sæt ørepropper hver, da vi tjekkede ind. 😳 Det er så langt fra et 4-stjernet hotel man kan komme desværre og prisen er helt godnat.

Trevligt på taket, kan bli jättemysigt där, men superslitet Det är slitet och i behov av renovering. Trasiga solstolar och parasoll på taket vilket är jättesynd för det är fin utsikt där. Kan inte förstå varför det inte görs i ordning med lite solskydd och fräscha solstolar. Högljudd ac men den fungerade fint.

• Wahid (5/5): - Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut, und die Dame an der Rezeption am Morgen ist ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. - Nach dem Schichtwechsel der Dame an der Rezeption erscheint nachmittags ein ziemlich genervter Mitarbeiter, der auf jede Frage gereizt reagiert. Er sitzt überwiegend am Empfang, spielt am Handy und schaut die Gäste unfreundlich an. - Das WLAN im Zimmer hat während des gesamten Aufenthalts nicht funktioniert. - Der Poolbereich auf dem Dach wirkt überhaupt nicht einladend und ist stark heruntergekommen. Die Fotos im Internet sind klar catfish. - Im Zimmer fehlen jegliche Haken oder Möglichkeiten, um Kleidung oder andere Gegenstände aufzuhängen. - Das Frühstück ist sehr bescheiden. man kann es sich ehrlich gesagt sparen. - Wer nachts Ruhe sucht, ist hier definitiv am falschen Ort. Bis spät in die Nacht dröhnt die Musik aus der Bar nebenan, sodass an erholsamen Schlaf kaum zu denken ist. Ansonsten sorgt auch die Klimaanlage für einen großen Lärm.

The only reason I gave this hotel a 4* was due to the pool having thousands of insects in. It clearly hadn't been cleaned for a long time. The room we had had an amazing view too!

The pool and roof to bar area .. could be a fantastic sunset viewing area but has been left unmaintained and shabby . My room wasn't cleaned until 4.30pm each of the 5 days days i stayed . My balcony glass looked like it had not been cleaned since installed and was hard to appreciate any view looking through it . Would have been a nice hotel in its day but if i was to stay here again i would expect to pay half the price than i did in Feb25 ..... Although all hotels on Koh Chang during Feb seemed very overpriced .

• Harriet (7/5): Welcome even after a checked out - The staff - the manager of this hotel was amazing. The kindest, most understanding human with so much compassion for my situation. The hotel was very clean. Room was large and modern. I felt safe here! Close to shops and restaurants - vibrant evening entertainment… I was after a more relaxing stay though. The location was totally wrong for me, as a 30 year old solo traveller I got the wrong area… white sand beach is catered for an older crowd in my opinion. the hotel is on the opposite side of the road to the beach so it wasn’t as easily accessible as I’d hoped (but not far to walk at all a few metres if that!) The rooftop pool / bar area was a little run down. I left after one night to move to a different beach (Kai Bae).

Shops and restaurants are right next to the hotel. The staff was extremely nice and helpful! We had a problem with our shower and they fixed it extremely fast! Room was spacious and ac worked great. Taxi to lonely beach costs 100baht per person.

• Ramsfan158 (4/5): Disappointed - Sadly, we were very disappointed in this hotel, it is no longer is as described on sites across the internet. Obviously, it was once a very good hotel but it seems to have fallen into decline. The pool was dirty and the bar by the pool is no longer in use, our room although adequate was not up to the standard portrayed on the booking site. That said the staff were incredibly kind and helpful and I cannot rate them highly enough. Unfortunately I cannot say the same about the hotel.

• 437kams (8/5): Excellent hotel with great staff! - Decent hotel in a great location just across the road from the beach. The service is 5 star with really warm, friendly, and accommodating staff who speak English and Thai. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner who was also very friendly. The rooms were great with spacious rooms, comfortable beds, a desk, and flat screen TV. However, I didn't give it 5 stars because it is a little bit rough around the edges in terms of the decor both in the rooms and around the hotel. The first room we were put in had a musky smell and I think the furniture was a little old but once we told the staff about it we were moved to a different room immediately and the next room had no issues at all albeit on a lower floor. We were then upgraded to a different room on a higher floor with a balcony which we greatly appreciated as we originally wanted a higher floor. The other problem we had was the loud music from the bar next door/down the road late at night but the hotel obviously aren't at fault for this. The breakfast food was also very tasty and they offered a different selection every morning to keep it interesting. The rooftop terrace and pool was also very nice with great views of the sea. What really makes this hotel great is the staff and we would certainly recommend staying here as we would definitely come back again! Keep up the great work Erawan team and thank you :)

• Ines (6/5): Nicht für diesen Preis. - Kann man machen. Für den Preis ist aber deutlich mehr drin. Hotel an der Hauptstrasse (nicht tragisch) und gleich nebenan eine Bar mit Livemusik (laut bis weit nach Mitternacht). Am Pool auf dem Dach gibt es keinen Schatten, der kann nicht genutzt werden. Das gute Frühstück rechtfertigt nicht den hohen Preis.

Leckers und abwechslungsreiches Frühstück. Sky Pool mit traumhafter Sicht auf die Beach. Das Hotel könnte aber eine Renovierung in machen Bereichen in den nächsten Jahren vertagen. Leider war auch die Poolbar nicht in Betrieb.
• andreid880 (6/5): Disappointing overall - First of all I want to acknowledge the service which was great. However, I really really do not understand the positive reviews. The hotel cost more than far nicer hotels on the island and is not well managed. Room: smells of mold, view of an unkempt backyard. Mattress is hard and of poor quality. No Wi-Fi! There is WiFi in the hotel but it simply does not reach the room. Throughout our stay I had to use data exclusively. No breakfast buffet in the low season, so we had a very simple breakfast prepared for us. The pool is tiny and not very clean. No parking. Overall this felt more like a motel than a nice boutique hotel. It's also not on the beach. While I appreciate the staff there are simply much nicer hotels for much less.

• Coosoogan (4/5): Disappointing - The only 2 staff that were anyway pleasant were the young chap with ponytail and Lady in the breakfast room. Great bar (Oodies) with good food and music next door is the only redeeming quality. Disappointing hotel, way overpriced. Grotty linen & towels, obviously old stock that needs to be binned & new linen purchased. No lockers beside the bed so nowhere to place your book or phone. Stained sofas, grubby, grubby, grubby. I understand that businesses have to recover after the effects of covid but even something as small as the Reception staff making more effort, try smiling guys! The only 2 staff that were anyway pleasant were the young chap with ponytail and Lady in the breakfast room. Great bar (Oodies) with good food and music next door is the only redeeming quality. Do yourself a favour and keep going down the coast til you hit Kae Bai beach, much nicer. Sorry guys but you need to make more of an effort at this price point. Definitely 2 star only.

• CopenhagenCouple (10/5): All you need - We stayed for 2 weeks in a sea view deluxe room (403). The room was very nice with a comfortable large bed. The room is clean and well designed, with lots of space to store the suitcases and room for clothes and other stuff. We had a nice view of the sea and the street, so we could enjoy the sunset from the balcony, if we did not watch it on the beach. Every night Oodies next door played live music (blues and rock), so there was music on the balcony :-) The music was noticeable in the room, but faint, so we did not mind. Water, coffee and tea in the room was refilled every day.  The hotel has a special wooden staircase in the middle, this makes the hotel feel very open and with a lot of space as compared to long halls. On the roof there is a swimming pool and a rooftop terrace. We used the beach, but if you prefer to be out of the sand, this is a nice option. The view is very good from here, jungle and mountain on one side and the sea on the other side. The staff are the kindest and you feel very welcome and special. There is always a smile and a greeting from everybody; reception, cleaning, the kitchen or at breakfast. The breakfast buffet offer what you need whether you like Thai food, Continental or American for breakfast. You can have your coffee made to order and with a smile.  Thanks to everybody at The Erawan for great hospitality. 
• PORNTRAVEL (10/5): Good Service. Happy Stay. - Service very good. Staff always helpful. My kids love the breakfast. Beautiful view from room at top floor. The sea is just walk across the road. Many restaurants nearby. Many shops selling things too. Good location and very convenient.

Service and attention from staff are excellent. Room is very clean. Housekeeping is done daily. Breakfast is delicious. Staff are attentive. Strongly recommended.
• Premo32158 (10/5): 4 1/2 stars - I have been coming to Kou Chang for 10+ years and for a short stay this is where I will come again. This hotel is in the White Sands area is a great part of the island Odee's bar has the best music but not too loud that you can't sleep great to have next store too this hotel. westerners are a plenty there and the food at Odees is great for western people. The manager at Erawan is very good with hospitality service experance. I hope they can keep her here as she was a great. breakfast was the best we have had for the island. I hope they keep there cheif and manager. We had a deluxe king bed very good bed not rock-hard mountain view monkeys came down early morning. internet is fair but that okay with me was able to write this review. The only bad thing was the shower no door and made the bathroom floor wet. Hot and cold water was hard to control. Toilet seat was off center. bathroom and room were very clean. Pool is small on the roof but great if you want to cool down in a hurry not much for doing laps. The ocean is better for that and is just across the street. We booked on Agoda and got a decent price. • PierluigiAlexiadis (8/5): Nice hotel with the kindest crew! - It's a nice hotel, clean and with good breakfast. Location is very close to White Sand beach, you have just to cross the road. The hotel crew is very kind and alway available. The only remark is that due to the COVID crisis all the buildings and structures need maintenance, but this is true for 99% of resort/hotel in Thailand.
• NorthWalesRigsby (8/5): Good lively resort comfortable hotel - The Erawan hotel on Koh Chang is in heart the liveliest resorts on the island. The best bits first Staff are very attentive polite, helpful friendly check in no problems 10 out of 10. Rooms spacious comfortable clean, coffee/ tea TV found the shower area rather darl die to all black tiles and concealed lights. The wash basin has very little space for your toiletries tooth brushes razor etc. But on the whole good 8 - 10 Breakfast has a good selection of Thai food noodles rice curry cakes and the likes and in electric food warmers so a 10 on that side. European breakfast real streaky bacon fried eggs and omelet chicken / pork balls , turkey sausage and ham. The down side it's cold the heaters that are supposed to keep the food warm where never lit. On one occasion they brought all fresh bacon n eggs out in anticipation I took both,could not believe it they where even cold although the yoks still runny. So only a 4 unfortunately, would not take much effort to improve. Down side has a roof dip pool and a good size sun deck but that's it, there isn't a good lounge area or garden space. There's no private parking take your chance of a space on the road good luck with that one. As the hotel is not on the beach you need to use the facilities of one of the beach resorts just across the street. Now this is not a problem but you need to purchase food or drinks. The resorts guests have of course have already taken all the prime seats. Good hotel if your not a beach person just like to drive around. Saying that if your not a beach person you probably wouldn't opt for a island holiday. Enjoy the Erawan I did.
