Diamond Lodge is amazing from the moment you walk through the door , quiet, beautifully decorated and extremely clean. Bedroom and bathroom to high standard and bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and set you up for the day with nothing been to much trouble. And finally the Diamonds are the staff - Hayley and her team are simply amazing, always smiling and ensuring your stay is the best experience will definately be back. Hayley very knowledgeable about the area , a huge thank you for a wonderful stay , will definately be back xx Having to come home

• sean (10/5): The perfect birthday weekend. - This is a gorgeous hotel which is situated in a perfect location with ample free parking and a short walking distance from both the town centre and the lake. The breakfast is amazing and cooked perfectly, with a good choice of quality food. The room was very clean and the bed very comfy. Hayley and the rest of the staff were absolutely amazing, very friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend and we have already booked to go again. Nothing, everything was absolutely brilliant.

Cooked breakfast was delicious. Waiting staff very nice and helpful. Being on top floor the stairs a bit much. Having the attic room with velux windows so no visible view. Felt the room and fixtures a bit tired in places.

• CatherineDson (10/5): Fabulous stay - This was our second stay at Diamond Lodge and it didn't disappoint. We stayed in room 1 on the ground floor which was spacious with a huge bed and lovely large bathroom with walk in shower. Spotlessly clean with bathrobes, slippers and complimentary toiletries. All the staff were lovely and Hayley lives on site so always someone available if you need anything. Breakfast was delicious and hot with plenty of choice. Large car park which is a rare find in Ambleside and only 10 min walk each way to Warerhead Pier or town centre Nothing

A special shout out to the lady who checked us in she was always on hand to help being friendly and lovely with everyone We felt the lighting at the front of the property could be better. Otherwise this is a great hotel. - The staff at Diamond Lodge were friendly, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent. The bed was a little too soft but that was just our preference, we prefer a firmer mattress. Wardrobe needed a shelf above the hanging rail. Only very small drawers in bedside and dressing table so now where to but folded clothes, underwear etc. Also just couple of little repair issues needed to shower tap/leaky frame.
