Not a major concern. However, I wasn’t aware that even if you pay for the hotel stay in full before arriving. When checking in you still have to put a deposit down for potential damages. This needs to be known ahead of time before renting a room

On the I-10 feeder, it would be helpful if there was a sign with the hotel name and an arrow as to where to turn. And the street sign for the hotel was not lit up. It was dark when I arrived so I missed it and had to make the block a second time before I found it. And I have a GPS.

- Grace (8/5): Other the my check experience, great. - This is one of my locations, I frequent often. The receptionist at check. She was rude and invasive. She asked unnecessary questions about my relationship to my partner. Specifically she asked if he was my son, were the same race so that would be impossible.

The hotel maid freaked out and said y’all can’t be in here. We were going to an event and had to change. We went down and talked to the first clerk and she apologized and change our rooms. When came back our luggage was supposed be moved, but it wasn’t. So we had to go back to that terrible room.

- Ernesto (5/5): Clean a close to the freeway - Property was good good location, new and clean I do not like the simple fact that the manager or whoever was there in the front would not let us check in after they had told us that we were able to check in early and they did not and then the day of checkout they wanted us out by 12 and they call me. I would like to clarify that we did not stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Baytown. We arrived on the evening of December 5th with our confirmation details and reservation number; however, the front desk informed us that someone had already checked into our room. We were then told that the hotel was fully booked and that no assistance could be provided.
This occurred around 11:00 PM while I was there with my husband and our two children. The situation was extremely disappointing and inconvenient, especially considering we had a confirmed reservation.
Additionally, we had to spend an extra $200 for another hotel that night, as we were left without a room.

The woman at front desk around 8 pm on friday night was friendly and she took a seond to chit chat and she really turned things around for me. - Verified traveler (8/5): Need to replace mattress - This was the third time in less than a month that we stayed at this hotel, but this last one was not the best experience. The bed and the pillows needed to be replaced as soon as possible on the first floor. You sank into the mattress and the pillows were so flat, no support at all. Although the lady at the front desk was very nice and got us another room right away which was way better than the previous one.

- 56MRK1 (6/5): Good room, questionable amenities - Stayed here for six nights while in the area for business. Room was decent and clean. Room was serviced every other day. Folks at the counter were nice. Fitness center had actual working equipment. Parking was ample and free, and the location was good for a number of dining establishments and shopping centers. Those were the positives.
Now for the negatives.
1) Paid breakfast is always a huge negative. I shouldn't have to pay $12.95 for a bowl of cereal when I'm spending $1000 staying at the hotel. But whatever.
2) Pool was tiny and awkwardly full with just three people in it, so I didn't use it.
3) I'm a Hilton silver member and got zero perks.
4) The TV had literally 13 channels. Old-school cable TV in my room unless I wanted to sign in to my personal accounts for Netflix, etc.
5) Coffee downstairs was free - but AWFUL. The taste was off, and it was ice cold if you didn't get it by 8 am.
6) Did the "remote check-in" the day before and was promised I could go straight to my room on arrival using the digital key, which would be on my app when the room was ready. Nope. Had to go to the desk, wait in line for 15 minutes and get a traditional key and THEN request a digital key. They didn't even check my ID. Just issued a key.
6) And my BIGGEST pet peeve - and this has happened with the last two Hilton hotels I've stayed in - they RUSHED me to check out. Check-out is 11 am. I'm still taking care of business and don't have to be anywhere until noon - so I plan to leave just before 11 as I should be able to. At 9:01 AM I get a very hard, aggressive knock at the door. It's a lady wanting to come in and clean. She said I needed to check out. I said no...check-out is at 11 and I'll be out by then.
So three stars for the quality of the room, but I can't give more due to the overall experience. Disappointing for a Hilton hotel, and for a frequent Hilton customer.

- FarAway06113986308 (8/5): Nice hotel for a Garden Inn. - Nice hotel. It is clean, relatively new, with nice rooms with plenty of space. Clean linen, great sleep quality, pretty quiet. The room was cleaned to a high standard and the restaurant was quick with room service orders and the food was pretty good quality. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants and fast food outlets and the highway is close by. The staff are courteous and polite and responsive to questions. the gym is relatively small but not used too much. It could do with a second treadmill because there is room for one and it is the most used piece of equipment so I am not sure why they wouldn't get two of them. I've stayed a few times, the first time being in room 102 but it backs on to the staircase which is concrete so everyone makes quite a racket on it when going up and down and it could bother some people although it was a minor inconvenience for me.
