I only stayed one of my two nights I had read the reviews wrong and thought it was dog friendly which it is not.The wonderful bar restaurant next door is though. The lymedale bar restaurant next door is wonderful.Fabulous food and friendly folk.

• Rachel (10/5): Perfect for 3 adults. - Really pleased I picked this place for the 3 of us to stay. It was clean and perfect for us. There is a kitchen with fridge, oven and hob and a kettle if you should need them. The bathroom was clean and the shower worked well. There was ample free parking outside. We were attending a show in Stoke on Trent and it was just under £10 for a taxi to the theatre. Would recommend this place to anyone needing a clean and comfortable place to stay.

Curtains could be better for less incoming light in the morning but that was a minor issue. Good location, being only a 10 minute drive from the bet365 Stadium.

• Chris (2/5): Very disappointing stay and no communication - Property was very disappointing. Main room smelt of burnt food and bedroom smelt of cigarette smoke. Shower in the morning was scalding so not able to use despite trying for a long time to change the settings. Message the property a few days after stay to express concerns and heard nothing back. Terrible customer service. No compensation or anything offered.
• Craig (8/5): Clearer terms and conditions needed - A lovely little hotel. We stayed in room 66 and the kitchen was well equipped with comfy beds and it was very clean. The only issue I had was the £50 pre authorisation ( which still hasn't been released back onto my card 9 days later ) If you are staying here on a budget then this may not be the place. They need to make that much clearer when booking. Have stayed here many times before and this was the first time I've been asked to pre authorise my card. This has put me off and I wouldn't stay here again.

Small kitchen area with a 2 hot plate cooker,microwave and fridge.kettle tea coffee and sugar but they dont supply milk. Good free wifi.small but clean bathroom with a decent shower.They have a bar on site.Very reasonable price for what you get.

• M F (6/5): Could do better - Had 3 phone calls about our visit about the trip. All 3 asking what time we were arriving. 2nd call said they would make 2 of the twin beds into a double which they didn't. Felt hassled. Apparently up graded but can't see what the upgrade was. Cups in cupboard dirty. Edges in bathroom filthy around shower tray. Needs painting around the sink in the bathroom. No No head rests on beds so walls behind need attention. Bin lid didn't fit properly. Room boiling no spare pillows. Linen clean and towels a good size.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - They honestly made my holiday the best i could have asked for, i took my friend for a surprise away as she just lost her father. We checked into another hotel where i was not able to stay as the cleanliness and various other things were wrong. But i booked an hour prior to arriving and the room was perfect! I will be back very soon!
• Jessica (6/5): You get what you pay for. Value for money - We had a very warm welcome. The rooms were clean and tidy with good use of kitchen facilities in all rooms. However, We booked three twin rooms and none had hot water - cold shower in the morning and the heating was not on which made the rooms cold.
• Mark (8/5): The price went up. - It's great. There's a little kitchette. The shower room is fine, and it's all clean. The WiFi works. Downsides are that its all done on the cheap. The carpet is cheap. The furniture is arranged so you can't see the TV when sitting on the sofa. Then there's the location. It's on a dual carriageway, and the building probably used to be an office. I was going to stay again, as I'm working in the area for s few months, but the price went up. And I really don't think it's worth 58 quid. 41 quid I was okay with.

• carole (8/5): - Stayed for one night as going to a gig at the Bar on site so perfectly place. Reception are very helpful and will provide anything you need (extra towels, hairdryer etc). Check in and out is fast and easy. Rooms are a good size and the kitchenette is helpful considering there arent many restaurants in the close vicinity although there are takeaways nearby and the supermarket isn't that far away. Newcastle town centre is a short taxi ride away and there are plenty of pubs and places to eat there
• Laura (6/5): Good but one issue - Lovely recently renovated apartment (in the annex) with just one issue, the room smelt of drains. If this could be resolved it would be great.

• Lee (8/5): Basic but functional - Stay reflected the price. We needed somewhere cheap, clean with access to the road networks. Really friendly staff and only 5 min drive to bars and restaurants. Basic but functional. Could have done with some curtains to help lower traffic noise.

• Dave (4/5): Didn’t Stay! - Arrived after a long drive only to find the room hadn’t been cleaned and made up after the previous guests. The receptionist was very apologetic and did offer to clean the room but I was tired and preferred to find somewhere else as they had no more rooms. From what I saw, rooms looked ok but Travelodge is a safer bet!
• Mrs M J (4/5): Disappointed - Booking in was good but when faced with the room felt disappointed and cheated as it wasn’t like the photo in any kind of way. I must have got a room that needed modernising.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Good service - Good location, good service, nice accommodation space! The only thing it bordered me was that we found some little spiders in the accommodation.

• Tracy (6/5): Bit tired, not clean but a fast response to issue. - We got there late so the reception area was closed. After some confusion and an attempt to ring the night porter (unavailable number) we found a tiny sign that pointed us in the direction of the bar. The bar was loud but we received a warm welcome from the barmaid. The suite was as described although a slightly worn. The beds were comfortable and the kitchenette perfect for a cup of tea and maybe to do some simple food prep, we didn’t really use it beyond making drinks. Sadly the cleanliness was the suites low point, as one of us attempted a shower we found it to be unhygienic. As it was too late to expect anyone to deal with it. I took photo and sent an email to the admin email address on the website. I was pleased to receive a reply from Grant at near midnight, such commitment! Soon after, the night porters arrived and dealt with the issue. Sadly we had all gone to sleep by this time, and we were disturbed, however I have to commend a swift response! The apartments advertise that they are a great stop for travelling/ missing the traffic and I feel this is an ideal description. If you just want somewhere to lay your head for a reasonable price then you’ll be OK. But don’t expect much more. Maybe after our experience they will talk to the cleaning team, as our revolting situation could have been resolved prior to our arrival!
• Simon (4/5): This should not be an Expedia hotel - Where do I start? Family suite booked for a week for 2 adults and 2 small children... 1. Only one straight glass & 3 plates 2. One chair (for four people) 3. Vertical blinds (many missing), no curtains, no privacy 4. Dirty floor, dusty furniture 5. TV remote missing 6. No shaving point 7. Flood light outside (on ALL night) 8. Live & very loud music Friday AND Saturday nights until late - at least this drowned out the constant traffic noise 9. “all 64 of our recently refurbished Suites include an avant-garde kitchenette, cozy Sofa”... ours didn’t! 10. On our final night someone vomited on our car. This is the most basic of basic accommodation, unsuitable for families, functional at best and not in the slightest bit comfortable. Thankfully this was just a base for visiting family and day trips, but it was so bad we left a day early. The owners need to decide whether this is a hotel or an entertainment venue. Very disappointing experience, and disappointed to find this on Expedia.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Lymedale Suites - Overall very good stay, especially considering the cost of the suites. The rooms were newly furnished, clean on arrival and had everything required. Struck slightly unlucky by having a generator running all night long outside the bedroom window.

• Alexandra (8/5): Fit for purpose - Stayed a few times whilst I've been on placements at stoke hospital. Its fit for purpose. Can be a bit noisy & finding a space on the carpark can be....challenging, a lot of the vehicles have been there for months so a bit limited. The walls are thin and noise travels through them a lot so it can be a bit of a nightmare sometimes. I recommend taking earplugs.
• Ivan (10/5): - The property has a self-checkin with security code sent to you ahead of time. We have 2 spacious rooms adjoined in the middle by the kitchen. The bedrooms and bathroom are clean and comfortable. There's bar of the same name at the back of the property but it's a quiet atmosphere nevertheless.
• Philip (10/5): Brilliant home-from-home for the price! - Almost unbelievably cheap for such a brilliant place. OK, it will win no style awards and first impressions of the building may make you think otherwise, even in some of the corridors, but once in the room - large, clean and comfortable with every necessity. Amazingly comfy bed, great kitchenette, great wi-fi, lovely staff, simply and cleanly decorated. Would recommend to anyone, especially for the price!

• colin (8/5): Nice rooms - Easy parking and check in , nice clean room with appliances for cooking , shower poor , to hot and tray fills up, slow to run away only downside to room , good room service bin emptied each day and fresh coffee & milk. Last night of our stay guests in next room were loud all night through to us checking out at 9am in and out of room and smoking need better service at night for these problems to be monitored . Overall enjoyed room for our trip to Alton Towers
