Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

• Zoe (10/5): - We loved the views from our room, absolutely stunning. The B&B has lovely grounds and the hosts are more than accommodating. Breakfast was freshly cooked and the small fry up was sufficient. People have mentioned lack of places to eat but we did just fine. It is worth booking in advance at places. Try Dylans, a short drive away. Also the castle cottage in town was delicious and a new place has recently opened, Y copa, we didn't try but it was busy. Also, a convenience store has opened so if you need a few purchases for your room, it's a 5 min walk. Also try the local deli shop for bits, great cheese selection. Nothing to comment on

• Nigel (8/5): A brief stay in Harlech enabling us to experience some of what the North West of Wales has to offer. - The location was brilliant and the views from our bedroom windows were amazing. We also liked the hospitality of the proprietors who looked after us very well. The difficulty we had finding anywhere suitable nearby to eat out in the evenings was a bit of a challenge but we did manage to find places in the end.

• Mandy Howells (10/5): Beautiful view , throughly enjoyed our time here - The view from our room was absolutely beautiful, we visited has part of our Ruby wedding anniversary and we loved it here ,breakfast was enjoyed by myself and my husband and we received a warm welcome and our bed was very comfortable Nothing everything was perfect especially the view

The things we value most ( large room, ground floor bedroom, comfortable King-size bed, crisp bedding, tea & coffee facilities, walk-in shower ) were met. Free parking. Hearty cooked breakfast (included 2 rashers of bacon, 1 pork sausage, 2 hash browns, baked beans, choice of fried or scrambled egg, toast, coffee or tea, yogurt, cornflakes, muesli, bran flakes). Glorious sea view from bedroom window (#4). Impressive entrance hall. Walking distance to Harlech Castle. Would have loved a bar on site or access to honesty bar.

Lovely morning breakfast.also our fellow guests were very pleasant. Nice evening meal at Dylans Barmouth. Typical Welsh weather did not deter us from a nice walk on the beach. • John (10/5): Crown Lodge, elegance, comfort and impressive views! - The Crown Lodge is an amazing place to stay, an impressive house just outside Harlech, with a wonderful view of the rugged Welsh coastline. The house has an elegant timber staircase and the rooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable. A delicious full English breakfast is available if desired and the hosts, Linda and Mark are warm and friendly, there is also secure parking. We wished we could have stayed longer!

The view from the property is truly stunning, providing a perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. Each morning started with a delightful breakfast. On top of that, the owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommend this place.

• Abigail (9/5): Perfectly peaceful retreat in a beautiful, friendly town. - The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful throughout our stay, checking that we were happy, what plans we had, providing local knowledge and directions as well as catering for my vegan dietary preferences at very short notice. The room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable! Parking and accessibility was great and the lobby area with the beautiful fireplace made things especially cosy. The only thing I would change here was that the cold tap in the bathroom only seemed to give warm or sometimes hot water. I completely understand this was hooked up to the water pump for the rest of the room/house and it really didn't cause any issues (just a bit weird brushing teeth with hot water :) )

• Gareth (8/5): An enjoyable stay in a beautiful old building. - Breakfast very good. A little sparse with the fruit selection, but the full cooked breakfast was excellent. This is a beautiful and characterful building, and the views out over the bay and beach are stunning. The only issue was that the property was quite cold at times. It is a large, old building, with big rooms, and windows to match, and my sympathies are with the owners, it must be very expensive to heat in very cold weather. To be fair, extra heating was available in the shape of a fan heater in the bedrooms

The hosts were friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were excellent. The road up to the Lodge was very narrow and twisty. Not anything that the hosts can overcome.
• Sharon (9/5): Holiday in Harlech - The bedroom and the bathroom were a very good size with a beautiful view of Harlech's beach and golf course. Although Harlech appeared large it is in fact quite small and despite the heritage of the castle and the beautiful beach there isn't much choice of evening food or restaurants only opening on certain days between set times. Be prepared to travel further afield or book up in advance.

• Helen (10/5): Stunning place to stay - Stunning house and views. Large downstairs room with large en suite. Excellent breakfast. The views from the house are to die for!!!! I can't praise it enough. The owner was very helpful especially when we need to get in a little earlier. Nothing at all.
