Guest Reviews
- Kathleen (10/5): - Tricia and Mike are exceptionally kind and thoughtful hosts. It felt like staying with friends. I liked everything!
- Melissa (8/5): Overpriced for what it offered . - The owners were very friendly and the size of the room was good . It was convenient to have breakfast included . Bed was comfortable. No microwave
The tiny bar fridge was problematic
The pump toilet / waste water machine was noisy .
No aircon
Only one fly screen -another would be great
How breakfast was bought down and presented around 7 pm . We were already in our PJ s
Jam was yummy but we would have preferred some kind of fresh fruit salad etc . They provided figs but what if you don’t like figs ?
- Anonymous (10/5): Home away from home - Mike & Trish are very welcoming. Breekie was provided.
Clean, friendly and affordable. We arrived at home after work to a beautiful fire burning fireplace. What a cosy lovely feeling. We were treated with respect and felt special. Reality kicked in as we had to return home.
- John (9/5): Ideally located B&B for the Hauraki Rail Trail with very friendly hosts - The B&B is located just off the Hauraki Rail Trail. The accommodation is spacious, warm & comfortable. The hosts provide a very good continental breakfast which includes home made fruit, muesli & jams Nothing
- Gianluca (8/5): Very comfortable but on the expensive side - Very friendly welcome.
Very comfortable and extremely quiet room. Breakfast was adequate but somewhat disappointing. 300ml of milk for two for cereal and coffee was a bit tight. For the price I was expecting a cooked breakfast.
- Robert (8/5): A comfortable, spacious B & B room in a quiet location. - Easy parking, a quiet residential location, easy ground floor access, very spacious room. Nothing really. The bathroom has some awkward features but serves the purpose.

- Kenneth (9/5): Superb - Great facility, very spacious with all the features youd want as guests in a bed and breakfast. Tricia and Mike are wonderful hosts who were very warm, accomodating and hospitable while also allowing us our privacy. Great communicators so we understood how things were done easily which helped them to help us enjoy our stay. The booking.com platform gave us the wrong price as thère were only 2 guests not 3 staying.

- Allan (3/5): Overpriced for what you get. - The property is quiet and on a hill with views of the surrounding area. The bed is extremely hard and the windows had no screens so we had to keep spraying for mosquitos. The room faces southwest and got hot during the evening. The house is tired needs some attention.
- Wanda (8/5): Unexpected treats all along! - Trish and Mike are extraordinary in that they use the fresh fruit on their property to make organic jams and spreads for the morning toast. They also make the organic yoghurt to keep your gut healthy!! We found a fan in the corner that helped a bit with the temperature. A/C would have been an added bonus but we had a great sleep anyway!

- Julie (8/5): 90s style Accommodation with “ homegrown” breakfast - We were a group of 3 with 2 bedrooms and so were allotted a “wing” upstairs with our own bathroom to share. There was a nice view from the single room which also had a small sitting area with 2 chairs and a TV set, which gave us somewhere to sit together. ( we borrowed a dining chair). The owners provided organic homemade continental breakfast which was delicious, and were sociable and happy to chat and help. The property was a little dated in furnishings but all very serviceable and it’s nice that the owners are very conscious about waste and replacing things for fashion may be part of this which is admirable.
- Dave (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (9/5): Great property within a 15 minute walk of the Main Street which offered a plethora of very good restaurants. - Very large room with twin beds and a sofa. tea and coffee malign facilities and small fridge as well as a to , dvd and a selection of dvd’s to watch. Very amenable hosts.
- Lynette (10/5): Mini Break - The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. They kindly lite the fire for us for when we came back from dinner Nothing, would just recommend they provide a couple of wines glasses and coffee mugs for the room
- Linley (10/5): Perfect hosts in a comfortable relaxing environment. - Tricia and Mike were the perfect hosts - friendly and entertaining and even welcomed us with a homemade limoncello. Such a comfortable stay- would recommend them.
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lesleyann (10/5): Super friendly, homely, and great value for money - The room was large and comfortable.
We even had a fire lit for us when returning from getting our tea.
The breakfast was delicious with homemade organic yoghurt and condiments.
The hosts were stimulating and interesting to talk to
The location was great also Nothing I can think of.
- Jim (8/5): Very good - Adequate breakfast, newly equipped toilet facility, nice and warm, central heated, very friendly hosts.
