• Penny (10/5): Wonderful. I would be happy to stay there again. - This is a lovely, welcoming family-run guest home. The owner was so helpful, and food was delicious. Breakfast is large. I has a suite, large with big bed, desk, sofa, bathroom cupboards & racks for hanging clothes. Price was reasonable for such a nice room The family made me feel at home. The location is on a narrow street, so a little hard to find at first.

Our room was oversized and very clean. We also loved how comfortable the bed was. The owner Pradeep made us feel very welcome, even going out of his way to cook breakfast for us for an early departure and arrange a car to the bus station. We really appreciated his warmth and kindness! Nothing

Le lit ultra confortable et douillet, nous n'avions plus envie de nous lever le matin! La maison dans son ensemble super jolie, et emplacement au top, à deux pas du Durbar Square de Patan. Et surtout, l'accueil INCROYABLE que nous avons reçu. Notre hôte et sa famille sont adorables, aux petits soins avec leurs invités, super sympas. Le petit-déjeuner est copieux, complet et délicieux. Clairement un des meilleurs logements où nous soyons allés. Si nous revenons à Patan, nous reviendrons ici, c'est sûr! :)

• Lindal (10/5): A clean, cheerful, cultural home. - The location is very close to Patan Dunbar Square and many other temples. Located in a quiet, paved street off the main thoroughfares, you enter through beautifully carved, wooden doors into the sanctity of a traditional home. Deepak greeted me with the warmest smile and immediately made me feel at home. He is a font of knowledge and so willing to assist. His information on other areas in the valley was impressive and much appreciated. The rooms were thoughtfully decorated with everything you required, down to toothbrush and toothpaste. I particularly enjoyed sitting on the upstairs terrace having breakfast and chatting with Deepak. And the traditional locks for your room - wonderful! Yamba Traditional Home can be summed up as clean, cheerful, cultural. Thankyou for the enjoyable stay. Nothing.

La chambre était magnifique et calme. Elle présentait tous les équipements attendus avec une literie confortable et de l’eau chaude pour une bonne douche relaxante après une chouette journée de visite. Le petit déjeuner était très bon. C’est un sans faute pour Yamba Traditional Home 🙏🏻Nous recommandons à 💯

Pradeep, Rema, and the parents are incredibly kind, charming, and helpful people. It's like coming home. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful time, & see you in August…. Impressive authentic interrior within the whole building. Our room was very cozy and comfortable - with hot water, all hygiene items. The owner even let us choose a bigger room. The staff is super friendly and supportive, their hospitality is amazing. We had a welcome coffee with cookies and fruits on arrival. The breakfast is served in a nice roof-top terrace.

Pradeep was so kind with his time and recommendations, the breakfast was excellent and it's an easy walk to Patan's Durbar Sq. I stayed at Yamba Traditional Home at the end of my time in Nepal and it was by far the best experience I had - it made me want to stay another week. It was perfect.

He took us out on the streets to give us an orientation to the locality. The homestay is located in a quiet area of Pātan close to Durban Square. Not much to report here except the water pressure and temperature were ordinary for a winter visit.
• Fabrice (8/5): Great stay and location in a traditional house - Familial and traditional house near Pathan square. Welcomed by lovely parents with tea and snacks while waiting for their English speaking son to come for check-in. The room is nice and large with lit alcoves in the brick walls. Tiny and simple bathroom but with hot water, making a great job after a long journey to Kathmandu. The location is also good near historical buildings but in a narrow and quiet street. It's an alternative to accommodation in busy and noisy Thamel. You can see puja and lot if local activities and daily chores by wandering in this area. The owner Pradeep is really helpful. To highlight, the restoration of the house is a family achievement, all self made including the wooden carved pieces found at different sections of the house ! Breakfast could be improved and the terrace where it's served could be reorganized to make a more enjoyable place.

• Naomi (9/5): Superb - I really enjoyed my stay at Yamba. Pradeep was a wonderful host! I was sick for one of the days I stayed there and he very kindly checked up on me throughout the day to see if there was anything I needed and brought me fruit. His elderly parents are also very sweet. The rooms are cool and quiet and a great refuge from the noisy streets of Patan. My room looked into an interior courtyard, from which I could hear some noise during the day, but at night it was very quiet and peaceful. The location is excellent for exploring old Patan. The small streets can get quite confusing; on my first night Pradeep also kindly walked with me to a meeting point where I was meeting a friend to make sure I didn't get lost. I enjoyed eating breakfast on the roof with other guests in the mornings. The rooms are a little dark as the windows are quite small.

• Siyagunekosgodage (9/5): Romantic appearance on photos and reality - The property owner is very friendly, helpful, and cooperative, too. He does almost everything to make you comfortable and happy! The breakfast is good. All amenities are functional, too. Value for money. The isolation of the rooms is not up-to-date as a result of which your night rest can get disturbed hopelessly if some guests start snoring 😴 The bed is standing low (without legs).

The room is very spacious, clean and comfortable. The owner is very friendly and welcoming, gives great service. And the breakfast is good.
• Martin (10/5): so full of heart and family warmth - My warmest stay in Nepal. Pradeep, his wife and his parents are wonderful people! He showed me half of Patan in his free time. I felt very comfortable in the traditional Newari house. My room was very nicely decorated, had a balcony and the location is very, but very central. The breakfast was the best and most varied I have eaten in Nepal. His wife’s dinner was also delicious. I liked it so much that I also booked the last few days in Pradeep's house. I can only warmly recommend the house and especially the owners. Thanks 1000 for everything! ?
• Nithima (9/5): A great place to be in Patan - Yamba is very nicely located in Patan, it was perfect to explore around the neighborhood (which is much nicer than the touristy neighborhood of Thamel). The rooms are cosy, the family was really welcoming and made us feel at home. We stayed there each time we passed by Kathmandu in our trip and we loved it. Some rooms can be a bit humid during the moosoon but usually you can choose a good one as there are not many people in this season.

The hosts were extremely nice and helpful, truly created the atmosphere of home, and tried to help us with everything that they can. Breakfast was very tasty. We truly enjoyed our stay there very much!

My room was very cozy and clean. Location was very close to all the attractions and restaurants. My flight was at 11pm and they didn’t charge me any extra money for keeping my room until 7pm. The owner ordered taxi for me and made sure it’s a fair price. Beautiful people! Please make sure if you are in Patan you stay at this property. Everything was perfect.

It is very traditional and was a nice experience to stay there. I had a great room which was more like a mini-apartment! The bathroom has hot water and the bed was comfy. The location is great - only 5 mins walk from Durbar Square - and it's nice and quiet at night. They do a great breakfast on their rooftop. I would definitely recommend for something different! Nothing to dislike

First time we arrived there, he rode his bicycle to the main road and lead us to his Yamba Traditional Home so we not get lost. The hospitality more than great, no doubt. 10/10. Room really clean and yaa if you want experience the old city of Kathmandu you should stay here, aesthetic and antique one. Mr. Pradeep also help us to book bus ticket to Pokhara, told us the tourism map of Patan, and recommend us some nice places. The food they made was absolutely delicious. We will miss your Nepali's donuts. Thanks for your unforgettable hospitality. Nice to met you and nice to knew you. We will see you again Mr. Pradeep for our next trip in Nepal.
