- Shannon (5/5): I will never stay at an Extended Stay America again - Getting out of there in the morning Everything. Dirty, worn out furniture, smelly. Checkin took 30 plus minutes as I was waiting in line behind 2 "residents" arguing about rent payments. It was 2 am and I needed to get some sleep. They had to "go check" if my room was ready? There was no toilet paper in my room, TV didn't work and the was no trash can.

- edwardmM8905RL (10/5): Great place for Awesome Stay - My stay at Extended Day America, Fridley has been great and has exceeded all my expectations. I’m currently in Minneapolis working on a 3-month contract job. Ms. Evet, the manager, has created a warm atmosphere, and she and her team are incredibly friendly, attentive, and have gone out of their way to ensure a great stay. The service is top-notch. The beds were comfortable, as were the pillows—great ambiance and cleanliness. Highly recommend!!
- Emily (3/5): I live 40 min away from Fridley and had a 72-hour event so I decided to book this hotel to save time - used this spot t - It had availability. The staff was nice and gave me an extra key card when I asked for one and also allowed two vehicles to be parked overnight on property. It’s next to a grocery store, gas station, buffet, and coffee shop all within walking distance. Cockroaches, overwhelming smoke smell in a “non-smoking room”, facial clippings left around sink, cigarette holes in bedding, stained shower sheets, and loud freeway noise (there’s literally just a chain link fence separating the freeway from the hotel). While friendly, staff ran out of inserts for room card and didn’t tell us anything about WiFi, checkout time, how to find our room, or the free breakfast advertised on here.

Ms. Yvette, the property manager, is tirelessly making sure guests have everything they'll need. And with Elizabeth having her back, nothing has or could go wrong. The ENTIRE staff deserves a shout-out! Anytime I'm in Fridley, this is where I will be calling home.
- gracemP5090MO (2/5): Had Reservations. Hotel was out of Key Cards. Didn't get a room. Charged me $127.73 anyway. - I had reservations for 9/19/2025 to 9/22/2025. I let the front desk know that our arrival would be between 6:30 - 7:00pm. I was assured that our room would be available. I arrived at 6:20PM to check in, and was told that there were no key cards so I couldn't have a room. Aren't reservations supposed to guarantee that there will be a room available?? Another guest appeared at the front desk requesting towels and a plunger. She said her toilet was clogged and that she had been waiting two days for towels. The front desk told her they didn't have a plunger for her, and maintenance wouldn't be available until morning. I guess I should have been grateful at that point that I couldn't have a room. I called the 800 number and asked for a resolution. They offered a room 14 miles away in the opposite direction of where I needed to be, and without any type of discount for the inconvenience or the extra distance. I told them I would find a different hotel. A $127.73 charge showed up on my bank account. I had to wait until Monday 9/22/2025 to speak with customer service because they aren't open on the weekends - which I think is almost as ridiculous as running out of key cards. They said they would give me a refund which would take 5-7 business days. They can take my money immediately (when they shouldn't have) but can't return it for week. Unbelievable that they would attempt to take money for a reserved room, that was unavailable, and was NOT cancelled by the guest. I would think that when people make reservations, key cards could be set aside so the reserved room can be available - otherwise what is the point in even making a reservation? Pretty absurd.

Her name is Sherr!!! But other than that I had a great experience!!

- darthonn (2/5): WARNING! - This is easily the worst hotel I've ever been to. For a deluxe suite that was reserved three days in advance, this is among the filthiest, nastiest, most unsanitary I've ever experienced. There's apparently a roach infestation problem, along with hints of bedbugs here and there. The bathroom is atrocious with lots of hair strands all over the floor, toilet, shower and sink. All the towels smell and feel a bit used. - The WiFi is free, but not high speed, at all. Not unless you pay extra. Which even barely makes a difference. - The bedding was NOT cleaned and replaced. I found dried blood on one of the pillows. - The two seater sofa bed looks like it was retrieved from a trash dumpster site and ravaged by cats for years. It's very dirty, especially on the inside where I also found underwear left from the previous inhabitants. Overall it appears as if this deluxe suite hasn't been cleaned in months. Everything here is completely unacceptable. With all these violations, it's a wonder how they pass inspection. I've recorded videos and took pictures and will be filling an official complaint.

The outer door didn't close/ lock properly so anyone could get in and there were no screens on our windows. The bed was super uncomfortable and the fitted sheet didn't fit properly and kept slipping off. People were yelling out in the parking lot and at the nearby bar all night. I had to book this stay last minute because my mother was admitted to the nearby hospital and it cost nearly $200 for an absolute trash heap.

We rented a room with a pullout couch and a queen bed and we didn't have a pullout couch. We had to ask family to borrow a cot for our daughter. Breakfast was not out when it was supposed to be, it was hours late and all the food(milk and snacks for the baby spoiled because the fridge didnt work) we have always had good experiences at extended stay in Des Moines but this is absolutely ridiculous. How does this guy even have a job?

It’s in a great location with a grocery store, buffet, and lots of fast food within walking distance. Evette, the manager, and Nova are the sweetest women you’ll ever come across. I would 100% stay again if I’m ever in the area.

They also make sure that if there are problems that they are resolved immediately. I would highly recommend this place to anyone needing long term housing or hotel stay.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Never again - The shower curtain was very dirty, there was a dirty rag hanging on the shower rod, there was a cigarette left on counter, there was a chunk of soap bar left on the ledge of the bathtub, room smelled had a lingering odor. We would’ve asked to switch rooms but we got in really late 3 am since our connecting flight got delayed. Thankfully we were able to check in over the phone since we knew we were arriving late so we wouldn't lose our reservation. The front desk staff was very easy to work with.

- jesm820 (10/5): Why I'm Here - I moved into the Fridley ESA with my family in October right after Evette took over as the GM here. We had been unwilling until that point due to crime, roaches, mice, smell, etc. Evette had it cleaned up, like we knew she would, within 2 months. We don't have any friends or family in the area and couldn't afford to travel, so the Christmas decorations Evette put up in the lobby really went a long way to help make it less depressing to spend Christmas in the hotel for my family. One of the reasons Evette is a wonderful manager is that she is always thoughtful of the guests in her hotel and puts their wellbeing and happiness at the forefront of her priorities. She's willing to do what's nesscesary to make sure it's the best hotel experience for guests it can be. Her team of employees (front desk and housekeeping) are excellent and friendly. We would highly recommend this ESA if you're in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul area.

- 972aislinnm (10/5): Our Family Is Glad We Moved to Fridley - We moved to the Fridley ESA in October, after Evette, the general manager of the formerly-ESA in Brooklyn Center where we had been for the previous 18 months, transferred to this location. By the time we got here, Evette had already made great progress cleaning this place up, just as we knew she would. Our room here is clean, the beds are comfortable, and while some of the guests are definite litterbugs, the staff work hard to keep the hotel clean and nice. If we have an issue, the front desk staff are diligent and quick to help find a solution, and have always been kind and treated us with respect. Another fantastic pro of this location is the walk-ability score. A Cub grocery, gas station, pet store, several restaurants (2 fast food, a Chinese buffet, and a Mexican place), tobacco shop, laundromat, and more withing a single block. Huge improvement over BC. TL;DR: Yes, it's still a work in progress but the progress is measurable and steady. 10/10 recommended 👌

- Brent (2/5): - The worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Upon arrival a boy was riding his bike down the hallway. That should have been our first clue. In our room we had baby cockroaches on the floor, and throughout the night the light sensor continued to react to any movement, turning all of the main lights on in the room. The sheets were clean, that was the one positive. Along the baseboards was a collection of grease and dust that is a perfect environment for the ants that marched alongside the walls. I would highly recommend NOT staying at this property.

- Mona (2/5): Using a different brand - Night clerk had no personality. 1 key for 2 people. Floors were dirty. Someone urinated in the West end stairwell that was already unkept. Room was comfortable, however have to request any kitchen amenities. Not even a coffee maker. Looked like a fist punch in bathroom door. Bathroom sink slow to drain. Chose an Extended Stay because we came out for a specific food we planned to come back and enjoy. Right next to the highway with some sketchy people in parking lot relieving themselves. Planned to add photos, but app won't allow me.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Pest control/Deep Cleaning needed - 1st night had to change rooms due to the tv not working the front desk person put us in a dirty room and said that it was cleaned. This began the 8 days of roaches saga. The manager finally came to the rescue (he has been on vacation) he put us in a cleaner room. The final 3 days were much better
- Holly (4/5): - The floors were filthy. We had to wear shoes the entire time. And the bed had the thinnest of covers. It was humid even with the air on and the bed was small with lumps for pillows. I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

- Roxanne (2/5): - The room was not cleaned, when I walked in the room all I could smell was alcohol and puke that was in the sink, the bathroom sink was clogged. There were no garbage cans in there the carpet bed and chair were dirty. I didn't get any rest because all I wanted to do was get out.
- Weber (1/5): Bad - There was nothing we liked about staying at your hotel. What we didn't like is how dirty the room was. We had to clean the bathroom ourselves just so we could use it. There were old french fries under the chair when we moved it.

- Svetlana (2/5): - Very dirty. A lot of weird guys around the hotel make barbekue. Probably they live in the hotel like in the apartment rent. The room had the smell from the bathroom. This place is now number 1 in our list as NEVER again.

- Darlene (2/5): - We couldn’t even stay there it was so awful. We had to scramble to find another hotel after a long day at a wedding. We should get a refund.
- Megan (2/5): - I have never done this before, but once we saw the condition of our room, we walked back to the front desk and asked for a refund. There was a hole punched in the bathroom door, I saw an ant on the fridge, the beds were just cots, the screen on the window was shredded, and there was a lot of other wear and tear on the room. We felt super unsafe, especially staying with two kids. We walked in, took in all the damage, and walked back out. I will saw the front desk staff was super kind. They were great and gave us our money back with no questions asked.
- Carol (2/5): - I was charged more than the price I was promised through Expedia and I did not receive a room with 2 beds as I requested. Jermaine at the front desk was awesome and settled the overcharge the following morning. The room smelled terrible and the window could not be left open to air it out as there was a fist sized hole in the screen. The sofa bed in the room lacked a mattress and was scratched by a cat. I was told this was the last room they had left.

- Steve (2/5): - Area was a bit shady and it’s right along a busy highway. The hotel corridors and room itself were deplorable. The furniture was ripped and stained. The dresser was extremely worn, marred, and looked dirty. The tile floors were sticky and I had dirty feet after walking barefoot on it. The blinds didn’t go all the way down no matter how much I tried to lower them. The cook surface was extremely dirty and deteriorated. If it wasn’t so late and we were so tired, we would have changed hotels. Very bad experience.
