• Michael (10/5): - Out of 8 very nice hotels we stayed at during our motorcycle trip through France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany, this was our favorite. Great location in the town, secure parking for our motorcycles very friendly and a wonderful quirky room with a much needed spa. Bathroom was extremely nice and super clean. We will always book here first.
• Rudy (10/5): - Super bediening door een jonge kerel vroeg regelmqtig od alles oke was. Alleen de toiletbortsel voor de romantiek room is dringend aan vervanging toe! En er ontbreek ook wel melk op de kamer voor iemand die koffie lust met melk’’’ Ook mag de koffiemachine eens ontkalkt worden anders een prima verblijf gehad!
• Karen Lise (4/5): Dårligste morgenmad nogensinde - Da vi kom blev vi taget pænt i mod en service minded pige. Morgenmaden var helt forfærdelig for og service var så ringe at det næsten var helt komisk. Det virkede som om at ham der var der, kun var der for gratis logi og IKKE andet. Morgenmaden var simpelthen så ringe.
• Lynda (6/5): - We had the misfortune to stay on the most uncomfortable night during the recent heatwave. The hotel did not have any proper air conditioning - simply a plug in unit that was not adequate to comba t what were admittedly rare extremes of heat. Consequently we had very little sleep in the very comfortable bed. The breakfast was good but our lasting memory will surely be the hostess, who greeted us and looked after us throughout our stay - from helping to carry our luggage, caring for my friend with mobility issues, and generally being a perfect hostess. She is a credit to the establishment and deserves this recommendation.
• Mikael (8/5): Rum med pool.. - Mysigt men lite udda. Den så kallade poolen visade sig vara ett bubbelbad på rummet. Frukosten var enkel men färska och fräscha råvaror lyfter den. Bra läge för att utforska basilikan och gamla staden.

• Henry (2/5): Never Again - Rubbish Hotel, spa is a joke, rip off. Worst Hotel we stayed in this year! The chickens pecking around the “spa” (in reality a jacuzzi ) in the garden (overgrown) were a low point.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent weekend en famille - Weekend en famille avec nos deux enfants. Suite très grande idéale pour la famille, avec en gros bonus une belle baignoire spa. Le grand jardin avec spa et poules est magnifique, un air de campagne en pleine ville. Super accueil très agréable, bon petit déjeuner.

De staat van b&b is oké, er zijn een paar kleine puntjes wat verbeterd zou kunnen worden. Verbeterpuntjes: De staat van schilderwerk is matig. Bubbelbad was niet helemaal schoon. In de hoeken van de slaapkamer hier en daar zwarte schimmel puntjes, dit is natuurlijk goed op te lossen om de kamers wat beter te luchten. We hebben lekker genoten, ontbijt was heerlijk! We zouden nog wel een keer terug willen komen.

• Loic (6/5): Bed and breakfast de qualité (très !) moyenne - Tout dabord, il sagit d un bed and breakfast, ce que je n avais pas forcément en tete au moment de la réservation. Dans les points positifs, le personnel est tres serviable et souriant. Dans les points negatifs, la qualité générale des fournitures et plus largement de l hébergement. Typiquement le linge de lit (et notamment la housse qui ne tient pas au niveau des coins!) Sont de qualites vraiment médiocre. La porte vous séparant des parties communes a facilement 3 a 4 cm de jour en bas ce qui ne propose pas une isolation phonique satisfaisante. Par ailleurs, lors de ma deuxième nuit, vers 23h, des gens ont essayé plusieurs fois d ouvrir la porte de la chalbre. Ceux-ci etait perdu et ne parvenait pas a trouver leur porte, les indications qui leur avait été donné etant visiblement mauvaise. Bref, pas une experience catastrophique mais ça ne vaut pas le prix sur une ville de taille moyenne comme Boulogne sur mer...

• Kim (4/5): - Deze B&B heeft een grondige opknapbeurt nodig. De kamer heeft zijn beste tijd gehad en ook qua properheid en hygiëne is er nog veel werk aan de winkel . Het pand is enorm gehorig. Je hoort je buren praten , stappen, … Het ontbijt was sober. Prijs/kwaliteit niet oké, te duur voor wat het is . Wel ideale ligging , op wandelafstand van de mooiste bezienswaardigheden.

• Mr James Palmer (10/5): Weekend family trip - Really lovely building and rooms, in a great location. We parked right outside and cost us very little. Room lovely and breakfast super - really friendly and welcoming as well. Do not miss the aquarium!

• John (10/5): My short stay in boulogne - The hotel was perfectly located near bars and restaurants aswell as a short walk to the beach and the brilliant aquarium. The walled old city is beautiful and has lots of amazing restaurants so you are never short of options. Le Marvaux was a particular highlight. The owners of the hotel were nothing but lovely and did everything to make our stay wonderful. The hotel was rustic and really lovely. They even have afro chickens in the back garden. All in all it was a lovely stay in every way would happily go back again right now.

• Karen (10/5): - Beautiful French home, high ceilings and extremely comfortable, the breakfast was clearly all fresh ingredients and was delightful. A fabulous location in the centre of everything and within walking distance of all the attractions. Hosts were lovely and hospitable and spoke to us in English which was really lovely (but much to our shane that we didn't speak very much French!) It was an extremely quiet place with lots of lovely restaurants around. We would heartily recommend staying here and will go back ourselves some time in the future.

Outside of hotel doesn't look much but inside is lovely, relaxing and has a boutique feel. Would bring own pillow as cushions on bed are not the same as UK pillows.
• Howard (10/5): Motorbike trip - This is a lovely family run hotel, in the classic French provincial style. High ceiling, big spacious room and large comfortable bed. It's charming, and a perfect stopover before the channel tunnel. Boulogne itself is a great place, so much better than Calais, and this hotel is well located to enjoy the town. When I was there, France won their world cup match so the atmosphere in town was fantastic. The view from my bedroom of the garden and beyond was beautiful. Breakfast made to order and it was good.

The rooms were spacious, though the stairways were a bit of a hassle with young children and luggage. On-street parking was easy to find within 1-2 blocks of the inn, some of which was free. Easy walking to historic center of town and to several eateries.

Room very comfy and sparkly clean and a bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath😍. Couldn't recommend more! There is also an outdoor Jacuzzi in the garden available to guest. Great location right in the centre of town, great value for your money.

• Richard (10/5): A hidden gem! - Wonderful. Don't usually write reviews, but we were so pleasantly surprised with how lovely this place was. We had a really spacious 3-bedroom suite. Stunning period features and proportions, clean and fully functional. Everything you would expect in the rooms - e.g. towels, TV, kettle etc - all beautifully presented. The owner Emilie and family were extremely welcoming and spoke excellent English. Appearing so modest from the street front door, yet full of surprises at the back: a lovely terrace with hot tub, and a charming "secret" garden with trampoline, swings, climbing frame, and a chicken coup. Our kids loved it. Location was perfect - a few minutes stroll to the walled old town in one direction and the modern town centre and harbour in the other. We had a lovely break in Boulongne.
