• Ching Han (7/5): A happy stay - The owners/ staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was of good quality. We booked a room for 2 adults & 2 children. Inside the big room, there is another small room with 2 single beds. There was only 1 fan in the big room, but no fan in the small room, so it was hot. The sockets are not enough in the room, particularly there is no sockets in the small room.

Good sized cups for tea with the tea/ coffee making facilities. Decent hairdryer in the room. Parking process was great as received a parking pass from the host to leave in car, so there are no extra costs for parking. Everything was good..

There was an abundance of hot water. Breakfast was first class with several choices. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. Good selection of items on the breakfast menu to choose from. Great location. quiet and away from the bustle that can be Whitby. garden area to sit in. excellent suntrap in the evening. you would have to be really picky to find fault here. we have stayed all over the east coast, and this is one of the best bed and breakfasts we have stayed in.

• Bedford (8/5): Wonderful thank you - Super clean, everything we needed in the room, actually we were surprised and had two bedrooms in the suite. The hosts were super friendly and helpful and even gave us freshly baked food when we’d returned from our day out. Breakfast was lovely. We didn’t have the cooked breakfast but it did look wonderful. We had fruit, cereals, yogurt and toast which set up for the day. Great location. Would definitely stay again

The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. We were issued with a parking permit which allowed many choices of places to park on arrival. Well definitely stay there again.

• Daniel (4/5): Really bad - The bedroom was clean and had all the bedroom facilities we needed We had no contact at all with the staff apart from when we checked in the women complained we smelt of smoke me and my wife are smokers we had no intention of smoking in the room only outside and we only had brief contact with who I’m assuming is the “chef” if you want to call him that The breakfast options was lacking only four options for breakfast a full English, scrambled eggs on toast, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon and poached eggs on toast I’d have thought there’d have been a few more options like breakfast sandwiches

Breakfast superb fresh toast and cooked food brilliant. Hosts friendly and attentive for stocking up tea n coffee etc. Nothing really everything was great. My only problem is the check in where if it is 2 o clock onwards you are left planning what to do if you arrive before 2pm. It would be better to have an option however this is a problem with many hotel/guesthouses these days.

• Judith (7/5): Good - Lovely family room ,nice ,big and clean. Free parking permit. A few stains on the towels, Only 1 biscuit but 3 guests. Breakfast was very early for a Sunday it's usually a little later, sausage seemed undercooked. A later check out on a Sunday would be nice too .
