• robert (10/5): A comfortable and welcoming stay from beginning to end - The view from these rooms is stunning and worth the splurge. Hotel management are very professional and friendly. Upon our arrival they provided details about hotel amenities and suggestions for our stay in Oia. They provided a ride from the airport on our arrival in Santorini, and arranged our transport to our hotel in Fira when our Oia holiday ended. Porters carried our luggage to and from our room - a VERY welcome service: there are many steps and levels of stairway to and from the rooms. Tip these guys well -- they sure deserve it! The hotel's positively unique and memorable cave rooms made our stay just about perfect. The fully stocked kitchen was great for impromptu meals and reheating take-out meals. The hotel is centrally located in Oia, convenient to the town square for transportation and a short walk from the point and Castle of St. Nicholas. Our spacious balcony patio was a great place to enjoy a continental breakfast while observing wedding tableaux and celebrations every morning, and gaze on the caldera through the day. Not a thing

• Nimira (10/5): Perfect Santorini Vibe Villa - You know, you dream of a Santorini experience - images in your mind, gathered from social media that are enhanced and touched up. Most times, dreams and reality do not match up! Our stay at this villa was as if out of a picture postcard - not one single disappointment. The villa itself was quaint, had a homey vibe, comfortable, and serene. The service staff were all excellent. Well, if you want a view like this, you do have to pay a price for it and not only in dollars! There are exactly 87 steps up to street level from the villa! It was a good work out, not necessarily a bad thing!

The front desk is so helpful and we had excellent communication with them before and during our trip, providing us with great tips and making arrangements for us around Oia. Breakfast served on the terrace was so convenient and beautiful sitting there with a full view of the Volcano and the Aegean Sea.. We loved it and there is no other place I would consider on my next visit to Santorini.

This accommodation was super cozy and gave us a nice break from the tourist track. We absolutely loved staying here and would stay here again!

• Jill (10/5): The PERFECT stay in Oia! - The location in Oia was perfect! We had amazing views of the caldera as well as the iconic blue domes of the city right from our room! In the distance, we could see all of the tourists taking photos on the square in front of the church while we relaxed on our peaceful balcony patio. The hotel was situated on the main passageway with a five to ten minute walk in either direction to both ends of Oia. Each morning breakfast was served directly to our room at a time we chose. We dined outside while enjoying the quiet views and ocean breezes. A stay in a traditional cave hotel was on my bucket list, and it did not disappoint! The view of the windmills with perfect sunset views were a quick walk from the hotel. They gave us great recommendations of where to get a drink or dinner to experience the not-to-miss sunsets of Oia! The value was good compared to other options we considered. We would definitely stay here again! It would have been nice to have a pool, but the hotel helped us arrange a visit to the red and black sand beaches, so we still had our time in the water in Santorini!

The staff are always on the move but very approachable whatever they are doing. Our porter in particular was able to carry a 26 kg suitcase and a 8 kg carry on bag on his shoulder while wheeling another suitcase as well. EXCEPTIONAL!!! Nothing

• EMMA (10/5): - The property is unique and quaint. The villas have beautiful views of the caldera. While the villa was comfortable, it was like going back in time. There is no television in the room. The shower had no shower curtain nor glass so I was cold while showering and water got all over the bathroom floor. The breakfast was included with our room and delivered to our patio every morning. In order to get to our villa we had to go up and down several flights of steps. The good thing is the porter will carry your bags when you check in and when you check out from your room all the way to where you will be picked up by your taxi or transfer. The location is close to restaurants and shops. Overall it was a good experience.
• Soheyl (8/5): - We stayed in the traditional villa for five nights. The view and location were absolutely stunning, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was acceptable for a short stay—perhaps one night—but for longer stays like ours, it lacked variety. It was very basic and repetitive, and having more options would have made a big difference. One thing we missed during our stay was a small microwave oven, which would have been very convenient. We mentioned this to the reception staff, and they kindly acknowledged the suggestion, saying they would consider adding one in the future. I hope they follow through on that—it would definitely enhance the experience. Overall, it was a good stay and a memorable experience. However, it's important to be aware in advance that reaching the villa requires going down (and up) 84 steps. This could be a challenge for some guests, especially with age or mobility concerns.
• Ivy (10/5): Amazing service and views of Santorini - The stay was lovely. I was so impressed by the customer service. They reached out to me via Whatsapp a day or two before to offer transportation services (at a cost). I came right after my destination wedding so it was a nice relief to have this taken care of before arrival. The only slight negative or warning I have is to be careful with leaving food out in the kitchen. The hotel kindly delivered a plate of cheese, etc. Within an hour (maybe even just half an hour), there were already ants swarming our platter. It's not a big deal to my overall great experience, but I just would've eaten my platter way quicker if I had known.

Staff were helpful when I asked for iron and ironing board they delivered it quickly. Breakfast was great with fresh orange juice, savory muffins, eggs, breads, spreads, fruit, and coffee.
• Elizabeth (10/5): - Chelidonia Traditional Villas has an amazing view and if I find myself on Santorini again I'd re-book it. The staff were superb -- very friendly and helpful and even made restaurant bookings for us. You need to be reasonably fit to stay here -- it was 88 steps down to the villa from the main street in Oia, and of course Oia itself requires a bit of climbing to walk around on anything but the main street, as it's built on a cliff. Parking is an issue here. Now I've been, I'd recommend renting a car by the day as the car rental lot is on the edge of town and you could easily walk there to get/return the car.

• Ian (10/5): - It was a short stay, but a very pleasant and memorable stay. The hotel staff was excellent. I suggest booking airport transfer with them instead of taking a cab. If you book airport transport with them, they will have somebody waiting to help with bags upon arrival. Otherwise there might be an adventure of trying to find the check-in desk since transportation can only drop you off at the bottom of the hill which is a short walk to the check-in desk. Anyway, Irinia (hopefully I remembered her name correctly) was excellent. All her restaurant recommendations were excellent. She was very helpful. The breakfast at the balcony overlooking the sea was unbelievable. Would definitely come back to this hotel when in Santorini.

We were - We loved the location of our villa and the views were stunning. The staff was exceptional! Maria booked several activities and restaurants for us. The porter was a life saver when it came to carrying our bags up and down the stairs. We were totally satisfied! We do wish we would have had better instructions for check in. We didn’t know a porter would help us with several levels of stairs until we found the reception office. There is no way to drive up to reception. It was hard to find.

The staff were helpful and friendly. Just be aware that there are lots of steps but that’s Oia! The only thing I would do differently next time was choose a pool room because it was super hot in September.

It had stunning views!! Lots of steps to get down to it, but if you are traveling to Santorini, you have to except lots of steps!

• Gillian (10/5): Absolutely wonderful - Absolutely stunning views. Do not hesitate to book Chelidonia. The staff are incredible, it’s right in the heart of Oia ( but away from the hubbub) and the morning breakfast brought to your patio is wonderful. I would definitely stay here again. (Note: Need to be able to climb lots of steps!) Nothing!

• Benjamin (10/5): Love the terrace! - Excellent hotel with great service and communication. It’s situated in a perfect location. The terrace was a highlight - a perfect place to get away from the crowds!
• Shao (9/5): The staff of the hotel are very friendly and helpful and the view from our room is excellent. We like this hotel and wil - Location is great. Our room has a great view and we had a lot of good pictures taken. The shower needs some cover.
