- Inga (7/5): Gut, wenn man direkt wandern möchte. - Es war schön warm und gemütlich mit sehr heißer Dusche. Das war bei dem ungemütlichen kalten Wetter draußen sehr wichtig. Es war sehr dunkel und ein richtiges Fenster im Schlafzimmer hat gefehlt.

- Alice (5/5): No repetiría. - La cama era cómoda, y el entorno muy tranquilo. Limpieza ok. Solo estuvimos dos noches y fueron más que suficientes. El olor a tabaco y humedad en la habitación nada más entrar y que seguía a pesar de dejar la ventana abierta. El moho en las paredes y lo descuidada que está la habitación. Las fotos están bien hechas y no muestran la realidad. Una lástima. Además reservé hace un mes y solo se me comunicó unos días antes de viajar que el restaurante del alojamiento estaría cerrado por vacaciones durante un mes. Siendo un lugar tan alejado de todo lo hubiese tenido en cuenta a la hora de reservar.
- Saul (2/5): Muy mala experiencia, mucho ruido y muchas lombrices - La ubicación, cercana a Garajonay. Comunicación. Parking. Nuestra experiencia fue bastante decepcionante y, sinceramente, no repetiríamos. Nada más llegar encontramos un ticket/tarjeta de un huésped anterior dentro de la habitación, algo que ya nos hizo dudar sobre la revisión y limpieza previa. Lo más incómodo vino después: durante una estancia de apenas dos días aparecieron múltiples milpiés en distintos puntos de la habitación, especialmente por la zona del baño y la puerta, y además en diferentes momentos. Despertarse de madrugada para ir al baño y encontrarse con esto, sinceramente, no es una situación especialmente agradable. Entendemos que determinadas circunstancias ambientales pueden escaparse al control del alojamiento, pero la sensación final fue que no se trató de un hecho aislado, sino de varios detalles acumulados en una estancia muy corta. Aparte de ello nos encontramos con bastante ruido de las demás habitaciones a todas horas, lo cual perturba el descanso. Cada persona tendrá su opinión, pero nosotros nos fuimos con una sensación muy distinta a la esperada.

- Manfred (5/5): Die Glanzzeiten sind längst vorbei - Die Lage des "Chalets" ist richtig schön, tolle Aussicht, sehr ruhig. Falls das Wetter mitspielt, bei uns leider nicht, ist die Terrasse wunderschön nach einem anstrengendem Wandertag. Gut fanden wir, dass Heizkörper und Klimaanlage in der Unterkunft verbaut sind. Wir kamen bei strömenden Regen, Sturm und Temperaturen um 10°C in der Unterkunft zu Fuß an (Wanderurlaub), da ist die Heizung sehr hilfreich gewesen. Klimaanlage auf 26°C damit die Kleidunf bis zum nächsten Tag trocknet. Der Check In war sehr lästig. Wir sind an diesem Tag aus Vallehermoso kommend 3 Stunden durch strömenden Regen gewandert, komplett mit großem Rucksack, völlig durchnäßt und wurden vom Wirt erstmal aufgefordert die Ausweise vorzulegen - hier war schon mal nichts von Einfühlungsvermgen zu spüren. Dann, das ist so auch nicht beschrieben, fuhr uns ein Mitarbeiter ca. 1 km entfernt zur eigentlichen Unterkunft, alles sehr umständlich. Zum Abendessen liefen wir dann wieder zurück ins Restaurant, voller Vorfreude, weil die Bewertungen doch hoffen ließen. Der Betrieb wird allerdings längst nicht mehr von Efigenia geführt, dementsprechend enttäuschend war das Essen, lieblos hergerichtet, teilweise vermutlich Tiefkühlkost Das Frühstück ist auch nicht unbedingt überzeugend, auch wenn wir für 9 Euro nicht viel erwartet haben. Das Ganze lebt vom guten Ruf längst vergangener Tage, sehr schade.

La verdad que de los sitios que peores he estado en cuanto a limpieza, el señor Fernando nos recibió y charlamos sobre las condiciones de los apartamentos por qué también nos dedicamos a ello, una vez se fue..y nos acomodamos...fue fallo tras fallo, pelos por detrás del váter, detrás en la ducha , en el lavabo, en los dispensadores de jabón...era agua gris....los zócalos hay suciedad que no pasarán una espátula para limpiar la suciedad en mucho tiempo, igual que plato ducha. En una puerta de cristal que da al exterior encima cortina está lleno de humedad...un horror...y si abres la puerta salía agua con jabón que entiendo que es de la ducha de la habitación de arriba...un desastre de limpieza e higiene...la verdad podrían tenerlo mejor, más limpio para las personas. Prefiero no poner fotos. No creo que sea necesario. Pero si por favor tomen medidas.

- YVES (5/5): - Le calme. La proximité des départs de randonnées. La salle de bains très humide. Fuites d'eau aux toilettes et sous le lavabo. L'accueil froid pour ne pas dire glacial du personnel de la réception. C'est une déception par rapport à la présentation qui est faite. Il n'y a plus que l'ombre d'Efigenia qui plane sur ce lieu. Un service au restaurant sans conviction, malgré des plats corrects . C'est une déception !

- Niels (8/5): Simple, in a perfect location - The location, rooms and silence was great. During the cols period we were here the appartement was warm and enough blankets were present. It was basic but had everything we needed. The rooms were not perfectly clean (we found a crisp and a food wrapper on the ground).
- Randall (6/5): Good location for serious walkers, far from main resorts/towns. Car required to navigate the island - Well sized accomodation, cleaned and towels/bed linen changed regularly. Owner's attitude was confrontational when we had an issue with a door key that broke in a stiff lock. He wanted to charge us €80 to replace the lock, when we had removed the broken key and it simply needed a replacement key. Kitchen hob in property was inadequate for home cooking. No hot water in bathroom sink.

- Antoinette (9/5): Prachtige locatie bij de laurierbossen - Prachtige locatie vlak bij de laurierbossen. Leuk hotel en huisje waar we zaten ook mooi. Heerlijk gegeten de 1e avond in het restaurant van het hotel (vegetarisch). Leuke gerechten voor een lage prijs vonden wij. Er was verwarming in het huisje, wat ook goed was, want het regende pijpenstelen en was 6 graden maar. Dat stond al lekker aan. Laurierbossen zijn we ook niet in geweest, het regende er continu dus op naar de kust. Het huisje had alle ramen afgedekt, er scheen nl een camera recht naar binnen. Ook zaten we op de bovenste rij, met een beetje uitzicht. Vanwege het slechte weer wat het terras buiten geen optie.

- Pawel (5/5): - Von außen eine sehr nette Anlage mit schönem Garten. Sehr gute Lage. Für diese Wetterbedingungen ist dieses Apartment kaum geeignet. Es ist kalt und ungemütlich. Starker Feuchtigkeitsgeruch. Zwar gibt es eine kleine elektrische Heizung und eine Klimaanlage, die aber von der Leistung her kaum etwas bewirken.März 2026, das Wetter: 15 °C, regnerisch, windig und neblig. Dazu Sparglühbirnen mit schrecklich kaltem Licht. Das Internet funktionierte vier Tage lang überhaupt nicht. Für kalte Monate und Regenzeit nicht zu empfehlen. Das Restaurant 200 m weiter wird vom gleichen Besitzer geführt. Leider auch sehr durchschnittlich. Die Suppen waren kalt, obwohl wir keine Gazpacho bestellt haben.Andere Speisen sehr mittelmäßig .

- Aaron Guido (8/5): - Sehr großzügige Finca lädt zum Verweilen ein. Die Lage ist hervorragend um zu wandern und den garajonay zu erreichen. Die Aussicht und die umliegende Natur sind eine Augenweide. Zimmerservice kam alle 2 Tage. Die Betten und die Heizung waren etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Super! - Das Zimmer war nicht so besonders, aber die Anlage und vor allem die Sonnenterrasse mit dem Blick über dem Tal und als Ort, an dem man den Sonnenuntergang geniessen kann, war hervorragend! Auch dass man als Gast eine eigene Mikrowelle hat und ein "Starterpaket" mit Kaffeepulver, Teesäckchen, Zucker, und etwas Geschirr um etwas zu trinken aufs Zimmer erhält. Ich konnte das Fenster zum Zimmer nicht öffnen. Das bedeutet, um zu lüften, musste ich das Fenster im Badezimmer öffnen. Ich wollte etwas von der warmen Luft reinlassen, aber das Fenster zum Zimmer ist komplett verriegelt. Das Fenster liegt im Erdgeschoss, gerade vor dem Eingangsbereicht zu dem Gang der anderen Zimmer. Ich verstehe dass es aus Gründen der Sicherheit ist, damit nicht eingebrochen wird, trotzdem fühlte ich mich etwas beschränkt.

Our particular house had a great sun terrace to sit on until sunset. The house itself had everything we needed for a couple of days’ hiking. - Elena (8/5): - Las vistas son muy bonitas, el apartamento reformado con mucho gusto, tenian estufas eléctricas porque hacía bastante frio. El personal era bastante amable y colaborador. El restaurante cierra a las 20h, tiene un horario muy pensado para el turista extranjero y allí alrededor no hay nada. La tienda más cercana está a media hora en coche, por una carretera muy complicada. Es importante tenerlo en cuenta antes de llegar (comprar agua, la cena... etc) porque la logística no es fácil. El termo de agua caliente no es suficiente ni para una ducha... éramos 4 y eso nos trajo problemas. Por lo demás, todo bien.

La limpieza deficiente, los azulejos del baño llenos de pelo y sucios, la cama no tiene colchón sino un pedazo de espuma y un topper encima y se hundía más de la cuenta, es muy cutre para un alojamiento.
- BEATRIZ (9/5): - Las vistas, la tranquilidad. La habitación era cómoda y estaba todo muy limpio a pesar de estar en plena naturaleza. Pedimos habitación con plato de ducha y cama de matrimonio y pudimos tenerla y eso es de agradecer. El disponer además de nevera y microondas es un plus. - Rob (6/5): - Goede uitvalbasis voor mooie wandelingen. Mooi uitzicht vanaf gezamenlijk terras op El Hierro. Restaurant met goede vegetarische maaltijden. Wij hadden helaas de laatste beschikbare kamer geboekt. Dat was helaas een kleine kamer met zicht op een blinde muur. Het matras was matig. Je schuift naar het midden van het bed. De badkamer bleef vochtig, rook erg muf en veel schimmel in voegen en op muur. Het meubulair is enigszins gedateerd. Ik neem aan dat de kamers met terras van betere kwaliteit zijn.

- AFJ (7/5): Zoekplaatje - Weet ik niet Niemand aanwezig bij de accommodatie voor informatie. Noch informatie hoe aan te melden. Dankzij een andere gast vernamen we dat we ons 10 minuten verderop moesten melden om de toegang tot het appartement te krijgen. Nog niet eerder zo weinig voorzieningen meegemaakt. Alles was echt minimaal!!

- DAVID (9/5): Estancia tranquila en un entorno increible - La ubicación es perfecta para no tener que realizar grandes desplazamientos si tu plan es hacer rutas en el PN de Garajonay, bajar a la playa de Valle Gran Rey o visitar miradores y pueblos del norte de la isla Aunque no tuvimos ningún problema, si llegas por la noche y ya no hay servicio de recepción, quizá pueda resultar complicado encontrar el alojamiento.

La amabilidad e inmediatez del personal encargado para resolver mis dudas y atender mis peticiones. Buen punto de partida para hacer rutas de senderismo. Ya lo sabía, sólo para tener en cuenta, si vas sin coche dependes del transporte público, la parada de guaguas está cercana, pero la frecuencia es limitada.

- Michov (3/5): Decepcionante y caro - Las vistas, el tamaño de la casa rural. Estuvimos en enero el clima frio (no tienen culpa) pero la casa rural era grande y los radiadores eran insuficientes para dar calor. El aire acondicionado y bomba de calor no funcionaba y dimos dos avisos y no llegaron nunca ha arreglarlo, se pidió otro radiador y tampoco nos dieron más. El tema de limpieza fue nulo, estuvimos de sábado a jueves y no llegaron a limpiar ni cambiar toallas nunca. Y por último, se suele dejar en las casas rurales algo de productos básicos como sal azúcar algo de vinagre incluso un poco de aceite, se que el no es obligatorio pero tampoco había nada de esto.

- MANUEL (5/5): - El personal fue amable, tuvimos un problema y nos intentaron dar soluciones. La ubicación, ya que estás en la carretera y no hay núcleo urbano cerca, para cualquier cosa tienes que coger el coche. La casa en la que estuvimos no tenía zonas comunes amplias, y el baño era incómodo.

To gode lokale restauranter inden for gå afstand heraf den ene udelukkende vegansk menu kort. Huset uisoleret kunne ikke varmes op. Badeværelse temperatur 13 -14 gr. C. Varmepumpen stoppede med at fungerer efter 8 dage. Vi valgte derfor at afbryde vores ophold en dag før tid.

- Franciscus (7/5): In de wintermaanden erg vochtig, maar verder een mooi centraal gelegen uitvalbasis. - Ruime privé parkeerplaats. Goede verwarming op de slaapkamer. Bed was prima. Na 3 dagen nieuwe handdoeken en keukendoeken gekregen. Wifi was prima. Restaurant Efigenia en Amparo Bar Restauranto beide op loopafstand en prima eten. Keuken en badkamer zijn erg vochtig. Geen kurkentrekker en mokken.
- ian (8/5): nice rural location and value for money - nice size chalet in rural location. heater in room as cold at night and also heater in bedroom if required. in the middle of nature with other chalets around. ample parking for all chalets. very quiet location. its in the countryside so lots of multi legged friends as stone cottage and wood construction. bed not great and pillows long and hard, not for me. food and restaurant offsite but did my own thing so not needed. Staff were ok but very direct when I arrived. not sure it was a language issue or just busy. there was no hi and welcome... but did not bother me. dont change towels or clean until day 3 but its like self catering so no big deal.

- Dirk (6/5): Mooi uitzicht - slechte service - de uitzicht, de terras en de sfeer Tijdens zware regenval was er waterpenetratie op 5 plaatsen en twee kortsluitingen. De stroom werd vrij snel hersteld, maar de lamp bleef defect en niemand zorgde voor het lek (water druppelde op de vloer en bank). Nog erger: het management reageerde onbeleefd en ongemakkelijk – het aangeboden vervangende appartement was veel erger. Eigenlijk hadden we recht op een schadevergoeding. Daarnaast waren de tuinstoelen versleten.

- Simone (8/5): Heel fijn en prettig berghotel met vriendelijk personeel - Fijn hotel met aardig personeel. Heerlijk eten. Er wordt alleen vegetarisch gekookt wat voor ons een grote pré is. Het ligt op een prachtige plek op het eiland als je van wandelen en rust houdt. Mooi uitzicht. De douchecabine bleef vrij vochtig maar dat kwam ook door de regen die wij helaas hadden waardoor de deuren niet open konden.

We loved the breakfast and the interior of the main restaurant and we enjoyed views of the surrounding area of natural beauty. The room had a comfortable bed and good shower. The property is at the start of some great hiking trails.

- Birgit (7/5): - Schöne private Terrasse Wir wandern zu Fuß rund um die Insel, und kamen am 31.12. um 15:30 an (wegen der Bitte bis 16:00 einzuchecken) und haben dort erfahren, dass das Restaurant wegen Silvester um 16:00 schließt und auch am 1.1.26 geschlossen ist. Wir konnten dann Essen einpacken lassen und in der Mikrowelle im Zimmer aufwärmen. Tolles Silvestermenü :-( .Wasserkocher gabs nicht, darum Wasser in der Mikrowelle wärmen für ein mageres Frühstück mit Tütenkaffee, da das Restaurant ja geschlossen hatte. Wir hätten uns gewünscht, dass die Unterkunft uns vorher darüber informiert, dass ihr Restaurant geschlossen ist. WLAN schwach und häufige Aussetzer.
