Guest Reviews
- Sharon (10/5): - Staff were excellent food was lovely room lovely
- Joseph (8/5): - Good food and room
- Walter (8/5): -
- Nicola (6/5): - Some nice little touches like towels folded and tied with ribbon and a nice bottle of still water provided.
Large portions of food in the bar.
The bath was lovely and water hot. There were a couple of cobwebs in my room and the blind in the bathroom was broken so I had to use a towel. The bathroom would have benefitted from some renovation.
Possibly wouldn't recommend it for solo travellers as it was very quiet and check out was unmanned this morning.
- Irene (9/5): - Personal service and good food.
- Guest (10/5): -
- Gwynfor (1/5): Never again! - Nothing! We were told we could book in at 3pm. Turned up early due to road traffic being good, and thought maybe have a drink in bar to wait. Place was closed up even though it said open all day and food all day. Rand bell snd eventually found someone who said there was no one there and to come back about 4! It was freezing cold. Came back and eventually found someone about 4.25. Gave us a room which was freezing (as was the Inn). Was very annoyed by this time and he said “I’ll put the heating on now!”Never again!!
- Leila (8/5): - Very friendly staff. Clean and comfortable room. Excellent dinner-I had the salmon and roulade and can highly recommend. Quite noisy from the bar/restaurant in my room although not the hotel’s fault they had noisy clientele. Fortunately they did not stay too late.
- Carol (6/5): Reasonable stay, reasonable value for money - Didn’t have breakfast as wasn’t served till 8am and I needed to leave early Pub was very quiet. Shower was good but shower curtain was a bit mouldy.
- Katie (9/5): Great service 😀 - Ideally situated for where we wanted to be.
- David (10/5): -
- Ziyad (5/5): -
- Laurence (10/5): Looking forward to going back in the future. - Food is excellent staff friendly and helpful.
Suggested places to see locally. Bigger TV in room as its too far away from seating area.
- Laurence (10/5): Going back again next week as so good. Food excellent. - Very friendly and helpful staff. Bigger TV as too far away from seating area.

- Luke (10/5): Charming building with lovely staff and exceptional food - Food was exceptional, lovely helpful staff, friendly locals, comfy beds and building was full of character Not much
- Steve (5/5): Hot, hot, hot and dirty - Friendless of staff. Ease of check-in. Fresh towel bundle on arrival. The towel rail was on full heat all the time and couldn’t be turned off. At 2am in the morning the room was literally melting. With no reception it couldn’t be reported.
Shower curtain was mouldy, shower head leaked, bathtub wasn’t clean, and couldn’t stand upright when in the shower.
- Moray (8/5): Great stay - Very comfortable room, friendly manager, very good breakfast, very welcoming all round, lively bar (in a friendly not a scary way) Mattress was too soft for my personal taste.

- Russell (8/5): Lovely over night stay - Lovely spacious clean room , bed was lovely and comfortable, bathroom towels were spotless, didn't have breakfast so can't comment but we had a lovely Sunday Roast followed by a pudding excellent and good choice of beers, Staff were very pleasant and helpful ( well done everyone) would definitely recommend if your visiting the area.

- William (7/5): An OK Stay for one night... - The room was small, and doors/beams a bit low - tall folk would have to duck (or grouse!).. Breakfast was OK. The accommodation was clean and quiet, and the bed very comfortable. The hand basin plug was stuck, so I was unable to have a shave in the morning.
- David (7/5): Good -
- Joanna (9/5): Friendly member of staff who was welcoming and very efficient -
- Danie (9/5): Great accommodation - the room was lovely and spacious with a very comfortable bed.
- Susan (8/5): Comfortable Stay in handy location - Bed was comfy and made up with beautiful crisp linen
The Inn had a lot of history and rooms were in the oldest part ( just mind your head)

- Tim (10/5): Great staff and tremendous food. - Great location for visiting other towns, and the breakfasts and dinners were absolute perfection. Everything seemed fine to me.
- Jane (8/5): Very good - Close to relatives I was visiting.
Lovely big room and bathroom Nothing I didn't like
- Lynda (5/5): So disappointed with breakfast, we stayed with previous owners and is was fantastic sadly we won’t return - Loved the room we had specifically booked having stayed in it with previous owners. Disappointed on arrival when we were initially taken to a different room. But we were moved to the room we had requested without a problem. Breakfast was awful, scrambled eggs first morning had obviously been made before time requested and kept warm, hence hard and rubbery. Next morning ordered fried eggs on toast thinking they’d be cooked fresh but no - they were hard and warm !!
- Lorraine (6/5): Wouldn’t stay again. Sadly the lovely feeling it had is not there with the change of owners. - Good location We have stayed here many times but sadly the feel and service is not as good as it was with the previous owners. The nice touches and warm welcome are gone. Things looking a bit tired. Poor breakfast. Room not that clean. Service definitely not that welcoming!
- Amanda (6/5): Great location but disturbed sleep - Very good value for money , food excellent
Great location Noise from accommodation above disturbed sleep. Road noise started early around 530am. Window very drafty.
- Griffiths (9/5): Relaxing getaway - it's a lovely pub in a very good location with nice food and on the doorstep you have beautiful surroundings. A little bit noisy in the morning with the cleaner hoovering at around 7.30am
- Alfie (7/5): Very enjoyable, lovely staff, food and drinks - The pub itself was very nice and good proximity to other places Beds where a little bit tough, new shower curtain
- Barbara (9/5): Superb -
- Jane (5/5): Disappointing - Neither liked or disliked because it felt unfinished. Bed comfortable, linen and towels good. Had to change rooms as heating failed in our room. There was nothing on the website that said they weren’t open for food on Sunday evening which meant we had to do more travelling to find a restaurant!
- Brian (9/5): Superb - Excellent evening meal and breakfast
- Quentin (9/5): Superb -
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
