- marcelo (10/5): Wonderful stay in Madrid. - This is a boutique hotel in an excellent location of the Barrio Salamanca of Madrid. The hotel is quiet, luxurious and spotless. The moment we arrived we felt at home, personal touch everywhere and with everyone. Breakfast is outstanding. Concierge was able to get us every reservation we requested. We are specially grateful to Alvaro in the front desk and Adria, multi task gentleman who helped on everything.
- Marjan (8/5): - Kind staff, but too much and not authentic. As soon as we’d walk in they would scramble to all get up and greet us - really not necessary and seemed forced. Clean, but plumbing issues - water drainage in bathroom sink and shower/tub were inadequate. Bathroom was separated and had door. No fan, with the door closed it gets very hot in there. Temperature control in room was not working well. Air conditioner was blasting throughout the night (facing the bed directly) and if would change the temp by .5 degrees, would shut off and be hot. There was no sensor or automatic function, No turn down service; for the price being charged this should be a must.

The front desk staff ensured we knew our way around Marid, they made dining reservations for us, they called the rental car company for us, they let us know where to stop on the way to San Sabastian, really anything we asked! The only minor issue was that when we arrive late on the first evening (due to flights changes) our room hadn’t been prepared for two single beds. They were willing to give us a second room for the evening but as we were sharing a case it didn’t make much sense. They sorted the beds out first thing and gave us complimentary breakfast so thank you for all the help! The was a fantastic waiter from Peru who made our experience even more special. Looking forward to heading back to the hotel in the future!

Helpful personalised debrief on the local area, attractions and restaurants. Concierge very attentive - almost getting us a taxi before we knew we wanted one. Room spotlessly clean, turn down service. The discreet coloured tassels that you use for ‘do not disturb’ are a sign that this hotel is for the discerning visitor. Breakfast buffet had a good choice, fruit was so tasty. Our waiter initially seemed aloof, but by the 3rd morning I looked forward to watching his super efficient speed & quirky service. My favourite place was the 7th floor terrace bar, beautiful, quiet haven to recuperate with a Cava after a tiring day walking around the art galleries. To my shame, I didn’t ask his name, our barman was a true credit to the hotel. On our second evening there, he recognised us & welcomed us like long last friends, stopped to chat about where we’d been. He knew what we’d drank the previous evening, a rare quality. I adored all the staff, such a credit to their profession. I felt very sad to leave. I hope other Relais hotels in Europe are as exceptional, as they are going to be my hotel of choice after this stay.

- Fatima (8/5): Superb location and friendly staff - Hotel location is good, rooms are slightly small and the only thing that was not good about it was that the shower area did not have a door to isolate it from the room. It happened that we were there at the time of the power blackout, the staff did everything thing to insure that our stay is not interrupted although it was a nation wide thing, they were extremely helpful and accommodating.

The rooftop patio is amazing and has a great vibe. Great location in the Salamanca district. Close enough to the center that I could walk to Parque El Retiro, but at the same time, the perfect distance outside the center to ensure peace and quiet at night. Would definitely stay here again!

Stayed for 3 nights and came back for one more night ( within the same vacation) because it was that good! The experience wasn't perfect but Juan( hotel manager) was there to put things back in order.

Arian, Juan, Esebon, and A’lvaro were wonderful to us and gave us the most wonderful experience possible. Front desk is available 24/7!! We never had a single issue, and they were always willing to hail a cab for us for our day and night adventures in the city. The bathrooms were super clean. The bed was incredibly comfy, so comfy that my husband and I looked forward to our daily naps! 10/10! Highly recommend.

Considering this is a rather young and new property I'm certain that some of the kinks will be fixed within a short period. Cons: 1) Rooms are on the smaller side with minimal storage area for clothing and luggage. 2) There is no gym. Pros: 1) Great restaurant. 2) Enjoyed the terrace and the rooftop bar. 3) Extremely professional and friendly management and staff all around.

- Mary (10/5): - When staying in a large city with an infinite number of hotels to select from; finding a way to sort through the possibilities is critical. We have found Relais and Chateau properties to be welcoming, well-appointed and staffed with gracious, knowledgeable staff. Heritage Madrid provides a gold standard for the brand. The property is situated in a very accessible but quiet part of the city, the bedrooms, and bathrooms while not huge are very pretty with comfortable beds, pillows, and amenities. Breakfast is delicious and comes with multiple options for large and small appetites. The rooftop bar is made special with climbing roses and jasmine. A truly wonderful place for wine after a day of sightseeing. We have absolutely no negative feedback or even suggestions for better service at this property. THANK YOU to the Heritage Madrid and to Relais and Chateau for not disappointing.
- Linda (10/5): - We had a lovely relaxing experience at the Heritage Relais. The staff is very professional amd helpful and the hotel is elegant and quiet with a lovely rooftop terrace. It is very convenient to take a bus into the centre of bustling Madrid...and then to return "home" to the quieter neighbourhood.of the Heritage. We are returning again in a couple of weeks at the end of our trip.

We had an early flight and we were exhausted, when we came to the front of the door , immediately greeted by the staff and they weee really nice to let us check in early and upgraded our room. The breakfast buffet was amazing. The house keeping was top notched. Overall , me and my husband were really happy with the service we received and will stay here again next time in Madrid.

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms more so, the rooftop deck wonderful, and the service is marvelous. Can't lose. Plus-- the Salamanca section of town where it's located is great. It's a lovely area and away from the tourist crush while still being close enough to easily get to everything.
- Howard (10/5): - Relatively new boutique hotel. Room was generous in size and beautifully decorated. Service was excellent especially by the front desk (Alberto) who was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Porter was also excellent and very attentive. Only downside was waiting for a mixed drink for 15 minutes at a time when the restaurant was almost empty. Service at dinner was not very attentive until we raised a concern and then it picked up significantly. Would definitely recommend a stay here. While it is a 20 min taxi ride to the tourist sights it is very walkable and close to good restaurants

- Margaret (10/5): - We arrived at 8 am after a redeye flight. They gave us a room right away so that we could rest. During our stay, we took a long weekend to Morocco. They stored our extra luggage for us, and it was waiting in the room upon our return. The rooms are well decorated, albeit a little on the small side. Staff very helpful with suggestions and accommodating requests. Restaurant very tasty - wish we had gone before the last night there.

- Wenzao (10/5): - This is an excellent hotel in a great location in the Salamanca district. I like this location much better than other hotel I stayed on Gran Via. This location is upscale and quiet. The staff were super friendly and courteous. The room was clean and spacious.
