Elysia (10/5): - Room was very well equipped and clean. I stayed for six nights on business and found it's location in the city center to be very convenient. There are a few restaurants immediately surrounding the hotel, and a big grocery store around the corner. The room was very large and I appreciated having access to coffee/tea not only in my room, but also downstairs. Staff was very nice.

Jaelyn (6/5): - The MStar is a nice hotel considering how old the property is. The room was clean, the lobby is nicely updated, and I appreciated the free latte machine and muffins every morning. The bed was a little hard for my liking, but it was a quiet place so I slept good. There are many shops around the hotel so you can walk to get whatever you may need. I rated it average because of the price and it is not a luxury hotel. The cost should be lower because of how few amenities there are.

The only bad thing about it was that we had my 78 year old father sleeping on the hide a bed and it was the most uncomfortable bed ever. He said it was like sleeping on pins and needles. If they get proper mattresses for the hide a bed or switch it to a futon it would be a five star rating! Very clean, courteous staff! Awesome hotel! Please make the pullouts more comfortable!

LaurieS2048 (10/5): Excellent independent hotel in the heart of the town - Excellent stay at MStar for a week-long business trip. The room was quiet, spacious, comfortable and clean, with a microwave and fridge. Nice staff. Great shower and bed. They clean the rooms every day, unlike the other mainstream hotel in town. Well located in the heart of the little town. Good food at the “bistro” (actually a sports bar) that’s steps away.

Colton (8/5): Good business hotel in Kitimat - A good solid hotel, lacks amenities and food, but many restaurants nearby although mostly fast food.

A few restaurants and pubs in walkimg distance. The Bistro which is conveniently located next to the hotel is pretty good.

hekrarup (6/5): Did not live up to its promise. - Comfortable rooms and beds with good showers. Disappointed that there was no tea or coffee in the rooms though freely available in the lobby. Muffins were also available free of charge but, sadly, the promised fruit in the morning had all gone by 8 with the exception of 4 inedible green apples. When we asked for some we were told that no more was available. Unnecessary poor planning.
