- Louise (9/5): Wonderful heritage place to enjoy Harrisburg - This is a heritage building which is beautifully presented. There are lovely communal rooms to use as well as the spacious bedroom. The bed was antique but had a lovely comfy mattress. Breakfast was served in sittings around a big old table so there was a chance to meet and chat to fellow guests. Parking is free, flat and close by. It’s a drive to anywhere to eat on an evening. Breakfast was good but simple and with limited choices.

- Nigel (5/5): Outstanding B&B but let down with declining servuce. - In early December we stayed in the annex and not in the main house which, based on prior experience, is nicer. However, the room was cosy, warm and spotlessly clean. The bed was confortable, the furniture top notch and the bathroom , although a little tired, had an excellent shower. The location was quiet and there were elegant seating areas in the annex where coffee could be made. Access could generally be had to the main house for breakfast with additional seating areas including a cosy library. The staff were very friendly. The location was also a bonus being opposite a river. 1. During our stay of 2 days the room was not serviced (even to provide clean towels). 2. The seating areas in the annex and in the library of the main house were not heated and so could not be used. 3. On one of the evenings a music concert occurred and we were locked out of the main house and could not use the seating areas. 4. The breakfast was marked in the advertising as special but was very simple and not as good as in a previous visit. 5. It appears that some penny pinching is occurring and that service is downgraded at times of the year when the facility is not full. Therefore, we conclude this facility is not up to the standard expected at this price point and there are better options.

- Robin (10/5): A+++ Accomodations in a Historic Manor - My mother and I felt warmly welcomed to this fine establishment from the moment of our arrival. We stayed overnight on the eve of a relative's wedding, and enjoyed everything about our stay. The cozy room and common areas were perfect. We walked throughout the property, taking in the gorgeous landscaping. Beautiful hydrangea bloomed, some with 3 colors of flowers. The Adirondack chairs on the front lawn supported us as we viewed the Susquehanna. Sherri is the friendly proprietor, and ensured a perfect stay. Our breakfast was delicious and eaten in a beautiful dining room adorned with unique antiques. Mom raved about the spinach fritatta, while I savored scrambled eggs."B" was magical in the kitchen and dining room, efficiently serving each guest. There are numerous bookcases full of varied genres of books. It is not unusual for guests to find something to read while comfortably sitting on antique chairs, sofas, and chaises. What a magnificent lodging choice! Our needs were anticipated, and exceeded. Thank you for our delightful stay!

The view of the river from the dining room especially is lovely. Very good bed. Quiet, despite fairly heavy traffic on Front Street. Parking No hangers in the closet! Bedroom drapes don’t close completely .

They only allow 8 people at breakfast at a time, and you have to reserve a spot by writing your name on a white board the day before. When we returned after 5pm on two days, all the spots before 9:30 were taken, so we missed breakfast twice. Seems like there could be a more accommodating setup.

Parking was conveniently and safely located on the property. Check-in was very easy, no contact. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom was very large, and the walk-in shower was great. The breakfast was delicious with several options. There are plenty of good choices for dining close to the property. It's handicap accessible. Nothing, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience.

- Stephanie (10/5): - This was my first bed and breakfast, and it couldn’t have been a better experience. The property is beautiful, and the breakfast was so good!! The manor is right by the water, so the views are just stunning. We had no issues at all with our stay. It was only 25 minutes from Hershey Park, and Lake Tobias is also close by. Harrisburg itself is not the best city. But the property is in a safe area, and it is easy access to the attractions in the surrounding area. Thank you for everything!
- Anna (10/5): - This is a lovely pair of buildings in a lovely location. If you like sunsets over the water you don't need to go to the beach, the Susquehanna is wide and slow and the adirondack chairs are in a perfect spot to sip cocktails and watch the joggers on the river walk and see the sun work its way into the hills.

We sat outside and just enjoyed the view. We walked along the river. We should have walked a little further because we could have seen the Governor’s mansion. The breakfast was excellent and our server was so nice. we would definitely recommend staying here.

- Gregory (10/5): Manor on Front/Mary Sachs - We had a wonderful time with several friends staying in both buildings for a wedding. We never saw any staff members until breakfast on our last morning. We did not have breakfast there on our first morning because I sent 2 emails asking if our daughter and son in law could join us for breakfast and never received a response. We ate off site that morning. The bed was comfortable, the rooms immaculate.Our one note of negative is the lack of reciprocal communication.

- Emily (10/5): Lovely, welcoming BnB right on the riverfront, in a gorgeous historical manor house right downtown! - The owner was very friendly, the checking in and out was super simple. Breakfast was wonderful, and great that we could choose the time we wanted. The manor house was very comfortable, and we felt free to relax out in the shared spaces for the night that we stayed. I wouldn't change anything about our stay. It fully met my expectations, and the location and view can't be beat!

- Nirmali (2/5): Very poor - This place is over priced and underwhelming. The management almost treat this as a side business where they are no where to be seen and prefer it when you go! Check in is by yourself, and this created our first problem. Our key was not left where it should have been. What we did get was short shrift from the manager who didn't show us to our room, and didn't explain how the breakfast sheet worked. Breakfast was nothing!! How could people say it's terrific? You are allocated a time to have breakfast, ours was 8:45am. You then sit at a big table uncomfortably with other guests... everyone is awkward. We were given a splash of scrambled eggs, 2 tiny sausages, 2 slices of thin, cardboard-like bread and that was it, along with 1 cut of tea or coffee. The room was dusty - curtains hadn't been washed for ages. We had the lower room and could hear others trudging by the hallway - the room was drab (no kettle, 2 bottles of water, no tea). I'm thinking here of my expectation with the price. The rustic charm shown in the photos is not what you experience - it's more simple and basic, the 2 outdoor seats that look so inviting are beside a noisy main road, and the service is non existent. I don't normally like to give bad reviews, but i would caution you to think again before you book.

The instructions were clear and it was easy to find and access the room. I have no bad things to say and would recommend this to anyone staying for a night or two! There’s nothing I didn’t like, really everything was simple and pleasant! I know after breakfast my hubbie was still a little hungry but we would have happily paid for a “bigger breakfast” or “second serving” the food was delicious!

Would like to have arrived earlier to take advantage of the lovely sitting rooms and library. Tepid hot water in the shower in the morning.

The timing may not be convenient as slots could be 8am. We took that time and it suited us and we liked the experience. Coffee was in the lobby. It was pretty cold in the room the owners should have adjusted thermostat. Room was a suite I took so it was relatively large and had a river view. The building had history from the past.
