• MILKAH (6/5): 3star review - The location is quite good. Easy to find. The bed is cosy and big. The area is so gren and quiet. Nice place to escape noise The room is abit stuffy. Curtains are hideous. The bfast is too basic. Its really not worth the value honestly.

Le petit déjeuner est de qualité moyenne mais le service est très bon Il serait bien d'améliorer la qualité de la connexion à l'intérieur des chambres.
• Chris (8/5): - Owner, manager and staff are super friendly and accommodating, that is why I came back, hospitality of it´s best. Beautiful garden, pond and trees with rare big birds, they sound! So close to the Hub Karen for eating, shopping or just hanging out. The bathrooms need some renovation. Mine had a falling apart faucet, the bath tub drain was blocked, had to ask to put the boiler on a higher level as the solar pipes did not get much sun these days.

• David (9/5): Good comfortable base from which to explore the area. - Whilst it’s a half hour hot walk down the main road to the middle of Karen (and the excellent Talisman restaurant) it’s a great location from which to visit the Karen Blixen estate and the Sheldrake elephant sanctuary. (don’t bother with giraffe feeding - it’s an expensive 10 minutes!) The room we had booked was small so they happily upgraded us to a larger one at extra cost. Well worth it. Staff and breakfast were lovely and bed comfortable. 2 nights was enough to see what we wanted in the area; nothing to complain about the guest house.

• Forrest (10/5): Lovely stay in Nairobi! - Fantastic stay! The hospitality and staff are unrivaled with their commitment to going above and beyond for their guests, always with a warm smile. The location is very close to local restaurants, malls, and tourist attractions so it is a brilliant place to base yourself in Nairobi. Can’t wait to stay again, asanteni sana again to Susan and all the staff! Nothing.

• Jamshid (10/5): Exceptional - Green area, cute landscape, small pond inside home with monkeys on trees- and very nice staff making yummy pan cakes (must try) in breakfast. All 😍 and very neet and clean everywhere. The pet (dog 8 months age) mr Baraka was very loving. He felt when we were checking out and came to say goodby. Windows curtains are nearly transparent passing outside light to room in night. Washbasin was loose alit :(

• Lucy (9/5): Excellent,I recommend it - The staff was amazing and very helpful. They assisted in getting me a genuine mechanic to check my car. The breakfast was great. The environment was exceptional The design of the house and the space felt like home. The bed twin beds are not very comfy. They are small, for a tall person not ideal The duvets need to be upgraded. The shower needs to be checked. The button for changing the water to the overhead is faulty. Fumigation is necessary in such kind of a facility. Cocraockaches were on my face at night. Fighting with them on the first night justified that the beddings have not had thorough checks before.

Suzanne also came up with a number of ideas for things to do and how to do them without our own car or driver. We enjoyed our stay so much that we are returning for the last night of our holiday!!

• Gloria (10/5): Spurwing Guest House is a beautiful hideaway, with a gracious host and attentive staff. - We were asked the prior evening what time we would like breakfast, which was made to order by the wonderful staff. The grounds are beautiful; we enjoyed relaxing outside whenever we could. The bed was really hard, but the nice pillows helped.

• Coralie (9/5): Superb - After a warm welcome, the team did everything to make my stay as comfy as possible. Friendly and flexible! I loved the garden where birds and tree hyrax came to visit. The breakfast was a feast, with the pancakes as a highlight. If you look for a home away from home, and a perfect location for visiting Nairobi and surroundings this is the place! All good!
