- Ray (6/5): Rude host always ask for money - We are group of 5 people coming to Milano late in the evening in September. Even though the booking confirmation from Expedia saying check in time ends at 10:00 pm, the host was very rude asking for surcharge as our train arrived at 8:30pm and she said that Expedia did not update hotel new rules. The thing is we have booked this accommodation and planned our ticket one month in advance. We could not change it and could not control they suddenly changed the rule and made the check in time sooner. So to be honest the host should have shown some respect and understanding. But no, she still charged us 20€ more for late check in as we arrived the apartment at 10:01 pm (1 minute late). We are tourist and new in town. We had to find the way there and she was just so hungry for money. However she left us outside to wait in the cold for 30 minutes and also blamed we did not inform her 30 minutes before arriving. We did text her but she never read te message. She did not proactively contact us yet we had to call her so many times. She never picked up the phone.
