- Raffael (9/5): Sehr schönes Hotel und wirklich sehr nettes Personal, direkt am Strand - Das Personal ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strand Der Weg zur nächsten Standbar ist leider sehr weit und der Ort bietet nur wenig Bars und Lokale. Das ist aber vermutlich der Jahreszeit Mai zu schulden.

- Gabriele (10/5): Perfektes Hotel für einen ruhigen Urlaub in Kalabrien - Das riesige Zimmer war ganz neu renoviert, sehr sauber, bequemes Bett und ein schöner Balkon mit Meerblick. Es gab zwei große neue Kästen und viele Ablagemöglichkeiten. Außerdem einen schönen Marmortisch und am Balkon bequeme Loungemöbel mit Tischchen. Das Badezimmer war sehr hochwertig ausgestattet mit Dusche und Badewanne. Die Gegend ist sehr ruhig, es gibt allerdings einen Supermarkt gegenüber dem Hotel. Im Restaurant direkt im Hotel haben wir sehr gut Fisch gegegessen. Der Pool war leider sehr kalt. Die Gegend ist sehr ländlich und ruhig und es gibt praktisch keinen öffentlichen Verkehr hier. Uber oder Mietauto ist die einzige Möglichkeit, sich etwas in der Gegend anzusehen.

- Bart (6/5): Proper hotel in een niet aantrekkelijke omgeving. - Ontbijt was vers maar zeer weinig keuze. Personeel was vriendelijk enkel aan de receptie viel het wat tegen. De man aan de receptie was niet vriendelijk. Kregen geen uitleg over alles.
- Marie-Louise (8/5): Angenehmer Einstieg in den Urlaub, Nähe zum Flughafen sowie toller Strand - das Bad war groß, mit Dusche und Badewanne und lichtdurchflutet, das Vierbettzimmer war ausreichend groß. Bett war sehr bequem und groß, Supermarkt gegenüber, Strandpromenade gleich beim Hotel Sitzmöglichkeiten haben gefehlt, Betten für Kinder sehr hoch, Gefahr des Rausfallens groß, Frühstück war typisch italienisch eher einfach; Anfang April haben wenige Restaurants geöffnet, Ort war sehr ruhig;
- Veerasak (7/5): - Die Einrichtung des Hotels entspricht dem heutigen Standart eines 4 - Sterne Hotels. Die Lage ist perfekt. Mein Zimmer und die Einrichtung waren auch super. Von den multiblen Funktionen der Dusche, inkl. Massagefunktion, bin ich begeistert. Die Aussicht vom Hotel Balkon hat mir auch gefallen. Es war vom Wetter her leider zu kalt um im Pool oder im Meer baden zu gehen. Am meisten hat mir die "Ruhe Areal" im Gang gut gefallen. Ansonsten waren das Personal sehr nett, höflich und hilfsbereit vor allem der eine ältere Herr vom Hotelrestaurant wo mich beim Abendessen bediente und der andere ältere Herr wo mich beim Frühstück bediente, welcher bemerkte, dass ich im Hotel bin um meine Ruhe und meinen Frieden zu haben vom Alltagsstress. Vielen herzlichen Dank an die werten Herren für Ihren sehr aufmerksamen, höflichen und hilfsbereiten Service. The hotel's facilities meet the current standards of a 4-star hotel. The location is perfect. My room and its furnishings were also excellent. I was thrilled with the shower's multiple functions, including the massage function. I also enjoyed the view from the hotel balcony. Unfortunately, the weather was too cold to swim in the pool or the sea. What I liked most was the "quiet area" in the hallway. Otherwise, the staff were very friendly, polite, and helpful, especially the older gentleman who served me at dinner and the other older gentleman who served me at breakfast, who noticed that I was at the hotel seeking peace and quiet away from the stresses of everyday life. Many thanks to the gentlemen for their very attentive, polite and helpful service. Le strutture dell'hotel soddisfano gli standard attuali di un hotel a 4 stelle. La posizione è perfetta. Anche la mia camera e i suoi arredi erano eccellenti. Sono rimasta entusiasta delle molteplici funzioni della doccia, inclusa la funzione massaggio. Ho apprezzato anche la vista dal balcone dell'hotel. Es wäre einfach super gewesen, wenn sich das Personal vom Housekeeping sich an die "Ruhezone" im Gang gehalten hätte, anstatt von ihrem Reinigungsraum aus so lautstark zu plaudern, so dass sie mich jeden Morgen während meines Aufenthaltes geweckt haben und immer dieses Türezuknallen vom Housekeeping nachdem sie ein Zimmer gereinigt haben. Sogar der Staubsauger ist leiser. Housekeeping Team bitte die werten Damen, reguliert beim PLaudern die Lautstärke oder macht bitte die Tür vom Reinigungsraum zu, wenn Sie miteinander lautstark reden wollen. Es wäre auch gut, wenn ich nicht die Rezeption darum bitten muss dem Housekeeping zu beten den Boden im Zimmer zu saugen, mir frische Tücher zu bringen und das Toilettenpapier aufzufüllen. Solche Sachen gehören für mich in einem 4 - Sterne Hotel zum Service dazu. Es wäre gut, wenn die Türen auch aussen an der Tür eine Türklinke hätten, damit nicht alle die Türzuknallen und wenn man schreckhaft ist, einen halben Herzinfarkt bekommt. It would have been wonderful if the housekeeping staff had respected the "Silence Area" by the floor, instead of chatting so loudly from their cleaning room, which woke me up every morning during my stay, and the constant slamming of doors after cleaning a room. Even the vacuum cleaner is quieter. Housekeeping team kindly request that ladies please regulate the volume when chatting or close the door to the cleaning room if they wish to speak loudly to each other. It would also be nice if I didn't have to ask reception to request that housekeeping vacuum the floor in my room, bring me fresh towels, and refill the toilet paper. For me, these kinds of things are part of the service in a 4-star hotel. It would be good if the doors also had a door handle on the outside, so that not everyone slams the door and, if you're easily startled, has a minor heart attack.

Room was large, clean and well maintained. The overnight manager was combative and nasty . Very disrespectful to guest paying four hundred fifty euro a night for a room .When a guest asks for coffee at six a m.. get over your coffee hours fixation and bad attitude The morning desk manager was also a very rude and dishonest . Attempted to rip me off with the credit card machine and was very argumentative. Both desk managers were horrible. Won't be back to this place

- Franz (4/5): - Wir waren im Gegensatz zu der Ankündigung nicht auf der Meeres seite, sondern in ein Quer Bau zurückversetzt an der Straße mit der ganzen Pool Landschaft und dementsprechenden treiben vor der Nase. In der Ferne konnte man natürlich auch das Meer sehen. Das bestellte Taxi holte uns nicht vom Flughafen ab. Es gab dafür auch keine Entschuldigung der Empfang war sehr kühl und wurde eigentlich nur wettgemacht durch den freundlichen Umgang des Zimmer, Personals und des Frühstück, Personals und vor allem Francesco hat da ein Lob verdient. - Sean (8/5): Very upscale feel, some excellent facilities - Very upscale feel. The room was very large, and well designed (lots of storage and surface areas). Big windows, lots of light during the day, with heavy curtains making the room very dark for sleeping. Well stocked mini bar was also a plus. In terms of facilities dining on the terrace was a highlight (the food, service, and the atmosphere were excellent). The menu was exactly what you would hope for in the summer, lots of fish and seafood, and the service staff was prompt and attentive. We also enjoyed the very well equipped gym with an excellent view of the beach. The pool area also seemed very nice and gave the entire property a very resort feel (though we only used the private beach). The beach and sea itself was quiet, clean, and scenic (once you got out there), and the attendant was super friendly and laid back. In terms of the room, my only discomfort was I found their pillows on the thin side (an extra pillow barely helped). The view on the south side of the hotel was also a bit blighted (gas station, trash, empty lots) but I don’t blame the hotel for this, just a consideration for booking (the North side faces the very nice terrace and pool). In terms of facilities, however, I must say where the upscale aspect of the hotel falls off a bit was the private beach. For one, the beach was a bit far to not have any kind of bar service (we had to pack our own drinks, water, and fruit). The hotel also has a policy of no personal towels at the beach (which is fine), however the towels they provided for a fee were pool towels (microfiber would be preferred for hygiene reasons). Finally the chairs at the beach were not great (I watched as myself and several others fell backwards on the chairs, a dozen times over 3 days). Some of them were also in disrepair, sunken in the middle. A bit of investment to improve the beach area would go a long way, as I’m sure a lot of summer guests expect to spend a great deal of time visiting Gizzeria Lido, by the sea…

Het zwembad en de kamers erg fijn. Alles schoon en tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Gezellig nog een drankje met de eigenaar en met handen en voeten communiceren, maar ook dat maakte het een geweldig leuke ervaring. Geen opmerkingen

- John (10/5): - This is an elegant property with service amenities from a bygone era. The room was spacious, well appointed and comfortable. Ample parking was safe and available. We enjoyed our meal onsite restaurant, and enjoyed the provided breakfast the next morning. Sadly we were unable to take advantage of the nice weather poolside as that part of the property is being renovated. All in all a pleasant stay.
- Jaime (9/5): Spacious, modern beach hotel with amazing staff. - The staff at the front desk were friendly and accomodating despite the fact that there was a health conference setting up at the same time we were checking in. They made it easy for us to check in and get to our room upong arrival. The staff at the breakfast bar were also wonderful as they greeted us warmly both mornings and took the time to interact with our children which made the experience even more memorable. My daughter was excited to be learning the local Italian phrases. The other part we liked about this hotel was proximity to a Conad for any food or beverage needs that arose during our stay and restaurants were just a short drive (or longer walk) away. The beach access was another great feature, even in the spring when it's still cooler outside. The walk to the water was over sand and rocks so pack light if heading down on your own. Overall we had a great time at the hotel and would recommend to anyone else looking to stay in a more updated and modern hotel with staff that takes great care in ensuring all is well. If we are able to stay here again in the future, we'll time it so that the pool is open and the kids can enjoy. Late-March is still not warm enough to open pools in some areas and we understand that.

As a solitary American business traveller, the warmth of the staff was very welcome. I will return with my wife and use this as base for exploring Calabria.

Asked for pillows twice, both times I was told, no problem, but never received them. Restaurant service was terrible, all our food came out at once. Appetizers, first and second courses. The sea view was amazing. Staff was so helpful. Restaurants were closed on Monday night so did not get to sample those. Overall a very restful place to recover from jet lag.

Breakfast with Francesco and Sylvia was fun and a perfect start to the day. Fresh squeezed orange juice by Sylvia a favorite. Francesco made perfect coffee and omelets to order. We loved the bathroom and luxurious bath and separate colorful shower! We used the time to relax after touring round Sorrento and Napoli. Much to see in Lamezzia and with easy access to Tropea by train!

- frant664 (10/5): Gizzeria is a pleasant surprise - Fairly new hotel maintaining the feeling of the area. Beach chairs and umbrellas are a must provide a lovely relaxing experience. Lifesaver is helpful and pleasant. Hotel is clean and well kept. Breakfast is plenty, is served to you. Coffee is good and made as you want it. Pool could be cleaner.
