John (1/5): Avoid at all cost even if they offered a free room it wouldn't be worth it - There were zero redeeming qualities Carpet was soaking wet, window didn't latch closed while an unprecedented wind storm was occurring, door didn't latch closed so the room sounded haunted or like the door was constantly being tested all night. Mold on walls was visible from floor to top of window that spanned AC unit to corner by bed.

Saenz-Carvalho (10/5): Excellent value! - The staff and the facility were excellent. They were very accommodating, as we needed to rush to go off to a wedding. We were very impressed with the room size.The hotel was extremely clean, very quiet and the beds were very comfortable. Would definitely book at Candlewood for our next trip.
Daisy (2/5): - I did not do my research and was not aware that pets were allowed. Smell of the hotel was horrible. From the outside they remodeled it but from the inside is a little beat up. Hotel did not offer breakfast.
Gregory (6/5): - The hotel is pleasant enough in all respects. Mainly, for us, it's convenient for our family visits. The only big negative is beyond the control of the staff and current ownership. The original construction was obviously done on the cheap. The walls are paper thin and one or two noisy guests can really detract from the hotel experience.

Deanna (4/5): Disappointed, expected a little more. - Location was good for what we were looking for, staff was friendly, room was large and beds were okay. Our room reeked of cigarette smoke due to the smoking section was outside our window. Rooms were cleaned only once a week. We found lots of pubic hair and dried pee on the toilet seat.

The room was not equipped properly after cleaning. I had to call and ask many times for things that should have been in the room (hand soap, body wash, towels, kitchen towels, dish soap, etc.)

I mentioned this to the front desk when we checked out. He was very humble and said that it was the staff that did all the work. He didn’t take any of the credit. It takes all of the staff to make a difference. We also were impressed on how quiet it was. All was great.

The beds were comfortable, the rooms were spacious, and it was quiet; we didn't hear any noise coming from anywhere. Which doesn't happen normally when you stay at hotels. We will be back for sure!

yvonnes715 (4/5): Disappointing stay - We booked this hotel to go visit took a fam member with me who hadn’t seen their family in 10. Since the amenities of the hotel has a full kitchen, we figured we’ll cook a small little dinner for the family to come visit since the room that I had initially booked was a suite with a living area due to the family member sleeping on the couch. Upon arrival we check in. It is not the room that I rent it And we could not be moved because the room that I initially rent it we’re all taken very disappointing after driving 3hrs they wanted to discount five dollars off my stay provide me a rollaway bed at no charge, but they added an additional points to my membership. The family member was an older gentleman who didn’t feel comfortable sleeping in our room in a rollaway bed with me and my husband so needless to say we had to drive that family member 20 miles away to stay with another family member when the plan was to come visit the 78 yrs old at the hotel very much inconvenience. Will nvr stay here again over rated and no breakfast hopefully the mgr has a talk with front desk rep. Needs to pay attention

Donald (10/5): - We had the King Suite with the full kitchen, King Bedroom and pull out couch full bed.So much room for the price we paid as we had three people.Very clean and on the second floor was close to the gym and pool on the first floor.We were 2 miles from my daughter who lives in Buda having a baby shower that weekend.55 inch screen TV in the King bedroom and 40 inch screen in the huge living room area.Loved the convenience to restaurants and grocery stores as it’s centrally located to almost everything.Will be coming here again soon and definitely a 5 star experience.

Victoria (10/5): Polite and clean - My husband and I were in town for a motorcycle class. When we arrived, the staff were polite and informational. The room was comfortable and clean. It had amenities we were not expecting like the kitchenette had all of the dishes and cookware you would need. The bathroom was well lit. The closet was huge. Ample storage. The only thing in the room that we were a little uneasy about is the little recliner seem to have been heavily used and had clear markings where someone's head would rest on a chair. Overall, our stay was pleasant and we would stay here again if needed.

Erica (10/5): - Its in a area off the highway which makes it convenient. There is plenty of hotel, restaurants, gas stations within a couple of miles. The hotel is clean. The hotel staff is nice. They do need more people for housekeeping which will keep you from checking in early. The first guy i spoke to told me the earliest check in is 2:30 which is only 30 minutes earlier from the usual check in time.

Javier (10/5): - This hotel served me very well for a quick one night visit. There is no breakfast served or amenities, but each unit has its own kitchenette. Units were clean and spacious and everything was in order. There are coffee and taco places in walking distance, though this is not a very walkable area
Faith (10/5): - I arrived late in the evening and the staff was prompt, kind, courteous and attentive to my needs! I entered my room and it was extremely clean, spacious and the bed was comfy. There was a strange smell when I walked in, but it could have just been the cleaning products they used. I went downstairs to get water, but there was not any sort of filtered water system, you had to buy bottles of water. The staff apologized for the inconvenience, but this wasn't a big problem in my opinion. They did have tea and coffee complementary. I slept soundly through the night and the morning staff member was very gracious and courteous as well. They do not serve breakfast, which I already knew when booking, but they do have snacks and frozen mini meals for purchase. I would stay again and recommend this hotel to anyone who stays in Buda.
