• Brenda (7/5): Meets needs for a short stay. Very accommodating host. - Close to the airport. Close to beaches, Red Rocks, Chocolate factory, and gin microbrewery. Street noise. Ocean view would have been nice from the room and balcony.
• Nikolai (10/5): Sensationelle Unterkunft in schöner Umgebung - Alles perfekt, wir waren sehr zufrieden und wären gerne länger geblieben. Das Abendessen und die Cocktails unten in der Sandbar waren auch sensationell. Sehr nette, liebenswert Menschen - in der Unterkunft wie in der Bar.
• Timo (10/5): Seh schöne Wohnung direkt über dem Meer - Die Lage war richtig gut. Das Bett steht quasi direkt neben dem Meer im 1.OG. Die Wohnung ist groß. Im EG ist die Calibishie Sandbar, diese ist auch richtig gut. Der Balkon ist auch sehr groß und herrlich für das Frühstück am Morgen. Die küchenausstattung war außergewöhnlich gut. Alles in einem top Zustand. Das Bett könnte bequemer sein. Zum Baden ist es vor Ort eher nicht geeignet, der Number One Beach und der Batibu Beach sind jedoch in der Nähe (5min mit dem Auto).
• Vivica (10/5): Our favorite guest house - It was amazing! Probably our favorite guest house we have ever been to. Location is impeccable, you wake up seeing the sea, feeling the breeze through the open window. Perfect relaxation!! Bed is wonderful, not as hard as often in the region. Everything you need is in the spacious room (water kettle, microwave, etc). Next door is a supermarket and a breakfast spot. On the ground floor there is a great restaurant (taste the fried shrimp!). Last but not least: Christine is a wonderful host, with great recommendations in the region and beyond. We can highly recommend!
• Kristin (10/5): - The location is excellent, we loved the food at the bar downstairs. The private balcony in the ocean view room is amazing, a great place to relax and watch the pelicans! I was a little concerned that the room didn’t have air conditioning but we found that the fan and the breezes coming through the windows kept us cool enough. The room is well appointed with dishes, silverware, and cups in case you want to prepare food. Christine was very responsive, if there was anything we needed, I’m sure she would have sorted it out for us!

• Mark (10/5): Beautiful view, spacious appartment in beautiful part of Dominica - Incredible view. Spacious appartement. Christine is a kind and attentive host. The place is very clean. There are some very good restaurants at crawling distance. Perfect spot to explore the north of Dominica, which is less touristy and has some very nice beaches. It is a long drive from the ferry port, quite challenging when it’s dark, but doable . The main attractions in the south are quite far for a day trip

• Lise (10/5): Comfortable stay and wonderful host! - The Sandbar was a great location the night before our flight out. It's close to the airport, great beaches, and the chocolate factory. The room itself was quiet and relaxing right near the beach and had a comfy bed and warm shower with good water pressure. Our host, Christine, was fantastic! She was friendly, helpful, and even let us check out late so we could go to the beach and come back to shower before our flight. We would definitely stay here again!
• Joan (10/5): Exceptional - This guest apartment is located nicely for walking to local restaurants and an easy drive to surrounding destinations. The kitchen area had a variety of utensils, if you wish to prepare a simple meal and the bed was great. Everything was neat and clean, with easy communication. Street noise was noticeable only on the weekend and fairly well mitigated when windows are closed. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

Christine has a remarkable soul, and we sincerely hope to meet her again someday. Thank you for everything—you gave us the most amazing time! Visiting Dominica was an extraordinary opportunity, and we are forever grateful for the memories we made here.

• Ilya (9/5): Superb - I liked how big the shower was and the ample amount of hot water available. There's a restaurant downstairs that's open for lunch and dinner. This occumodation does not come with breakfast but you can find good options near by. The room gets pretty hot at night even with windows open. It's not the fault of the host, that's just how hot this location gets. A few extra fans would be wonderful.

Christine is a kind and attentive host that was very flexible and accommodating with check in times. Lee’s restaurant and bar, Love @ First Bite is incredible and he is a great guy. Very welcoming and relaxing town and lodging.
• Derri (10/5): Lovely stay with a lovely host, would 100% book again - Clean well presented and decorated property. Had everything I needed a nice shower was located by plenty of restaurants and bars. Close to little market shop and ATM I found the WiFi to be better than on other islands really quick to upload Facebook posts and have video chats with friends. The host was fantastic and the reason I picked the place… very accommodating and went above and beyond. Some of the locals could be a bit loud and party but it didn’t go on too late and was only on the weekends… if I wasn’t a single woman alone I would have joined them lol. You can’t really swim at the beach there due to the coral but it was still beautiful and I’m just being picky

• Hilary (9/5): Superb - Calibishie Sandbar was our first stop and a great way to kick off our two weeks in Dominica! Christine was excellent, the balcony over the ocean perfect for unwinding and there was everything we needed. Great wifi, equipped kitchenette for light food prep, easy to find, walking distance to restaurants and a mini market.
• Philippa (9/5): Would stay here again. - We were directly over the ocean with a beautiful deck and a view to Marie Galante and Guadeloupe. We loved opening the windows to hear the waves and feel the sea breeze. It was very spacious with quirky but charming decor. The bathroom was large with a nice shower. Very clean and reasonably priced. Close to restaurants. We had the large room upstairs. We did not hear any street noise at night. There is not much parking space on the busy street.
• Andros (10/5): Excellent stay and I was able to do everything on my list. - Location was perfect. There were three restaurants within 1 minute walk that were all exceptional. Location is 20 minutes from the airport and the best beach in Dominica...Batibau. The host was extra informative and sweet. If you decide to stay close to the Capital you would have to drive 1.5hrs to get there compared to the 20minutes in Calibishe. Everything was perfect for me.
• Rossi (10/5): Little paradise - Everything! The place is super clean, the view is amazing, the neighborhood is nice, a few perfect little restaurants steps away...take a walk on the left facing the sea and you will fall in love 💕 the hostess Christine is the best! Nothing ....!!!

• Ralf (9/5): Very romantic and genuine Dominican - This is an extraordinary place. You cannot get closer to the sea. On the balcony, you are above it. Probably due to the proximity to the sea,, the temperature in the room is always perfect, no air-conditioning needed. The host is very charming and helpful. The rooms are decorated tastefully with a beautiful blend of British and Caribbean style. The bar is under renovation and was still closed.

• Andras (10/5): Perfect oceanfront guesthouse with the most welcoming host - Fantastic little waterfront property with only two rooms, the bigger one with the balcony upstairs is just simply incredible. The place is well located in Calibishie within a very short walking distance from restaurants, grocery shops, ATM and fresh fruit/vegetable market. The room is tidy and clean and super comfortable, with a well equipped kitchenette and a balcony overlooking the ocean that is just the perfect spot for having breakfast or an afternoon read. The best thing about the place, however, is the host Christine. She is a super delightful person, friendly and helpful always. We were fortunate enough to spend Christmas Day with her and her expat friends in the restaurant/bar area of the guesthouse and it was a truly memorable experience. We can only recommend the place! (FYI the restaurant/bar is temporarily closed but will likely re-open in 2023)

But there is no tv so it’s a good chance to get in touch with yourself. It’s right on a beach but it was windy so I didn’t get to enjoy it. They have a restaurant onsite but it was temporarily closed but there was another restaurant right next door. It not close to the business area but overall I enjoyed my stay it has a fantastic view. Real calming

• Jan (8/5): Calibishie Sandbar is Calling to me! - The Sandbar was wonderful! The room was a bit stuffy when we stayed in July, but the view was AMAZING! The area was so fun too...and the beaches were gorgeous!
• Verified traveler (10/5): - Christine and Garnet are absolutely lovely, funny and helpful. The sandbar is a cool place to relax and spend the evening, you should definitely try the homemade rums. The room has everything and is decorated with details. Calibishi is a beautiful little little town, we enjoyed our time there. One hint: make sure you book the suite, this has the beautiful sea view and a cooking place. The smaller room has just a microwave.

• Björn (8/5): Good for a few nights - A good small place close to the beach. Close to the store where you find breakfast. The have a bar and have a meny for lunch/dinner - but I would choose some other restaurant. Expect noise from the street.
